I can not Impress on you what a great job this company does. I had NO grass in my yard. Within 6 months I had the best lawn on Old Manor. My bushes in front were dead They pulled removed them and created a flower bed that I was proud of. The next job was burying the French drains in the back yard. That also went without a hitch. My favorite thing they did was to remove the rain gutters and replace them with beautiful rocks the water drained off that looked so much better. They also installed a fire pit in our back yard that was beautiful. If you want to hire someone that does great work, shows up and is so easy to work with this is your company. My sprinkler system was already turned on and operating before Four Star Lawn Care came out. I did not hire them simply to turn the system on. The purpose of the service call was to adjust sprinkler heads and address a leak. The estimate given to me by phone was $100, and I was also told there was a $75 minimum service charge. After Four Star Lawn Care performed the service, my sprinkler system was left in worse condition than before. Based on my observations after their work, multiple zones are now watering improper areas, including my fence, the side of my house, landscape beds, and other areas that should not be receiving that amount of water. The system is not properly watering the lawn as it should. There is also significant pooling and flooding in my backyard. Four Star Lawn Care later sent a written message stating that their team had completed the sprinkler system service and performed a "full system check." Their message stated that they inspected the controller settings, ran each zone, checked for leaks, adjusted sprinkler heads for proper coverage, and confirmed the system was watering efficiently. That statement does not match the actual condition of the system after their service. The system was not watering efficiently after they left. It was misdirected, causing flooding, and damaging my yard and landscaping. Four Star also later described the service as including "turning on the system and fixing the leak." That description is inaccurate or misleading because my sprinkler system was already turned on and operating before they arrived. I hired them to adjust sprinkler heads and address a leak, not simply to turn the system on. The flooding and improper sprinkler adjustments have caused or contributed to damage to my grass, plants, landscaping, soil, mulch/rock beds, and areas along my fence and house. I have photographs showing standing water, saturated landscaping, and improper water accumulation after their service. There is also a billing issue. The amount I understood from the phone estimate was $100, but after the work was performed I was billed $150. Four Star later referenced a higher amount for the service and stated that additional work could be billed when they came back out. I dispute the billing because the system was left worse than before, and the description of the work performed does not accurately reflect what was requested or what occurred. I contacted Four Star Lawn Care after the service and told them that their workers had plugged in or activated a zone that should not have been running and that my backyard was flooding. I also asked why no one was responding to me. I did not receive a timely or adequate response resolving the issue. I am requesting that Four Star Lawn Care do the following: Return promptly and correct the sprinkler system at no additional charge; Properly adjust all zones so the sprinklers water the lawn and intended landscape areas, not the fence, house, or improper areas; Correct the flooding issue caused or worsened by their service; Reimburse or credit the disputed service charge because the system was left worse than before; Pay for or reimburse the cost of damage to my grass, plants, and landscaping caused by the improper adjustment/flooding; and Provide a written explanation of what work was actually performed, what zones were changed, and why the system was represented as fully checked and operating efficiently when it was not. I attempted to resolve this directly, but the company has not adequately responded or corrected the problem. read more

We used Four Star to help start up our sprinkler system last year. We had no idea how to even use our system and the guy who came to get it running was extremely helpful. We knew we had a few areas that were damaged and he quickly figured out which sprinklers and the pieces we needed to repair them! It didn't cost much at all to get the repairs done, and I was so pleased it was a quick fix to get our sprinklers up and running. I always receive a text when I'm scheduled for the work to be done so that's super helpful with making sure someone is there if needed! read more

I had them help last year with a yard clean up. They text regularly with deals and yet today sent a quote for service at $0. I asked about it. They quoted $69.95 for three sprays and here we are they meant per spray. Also, rude. read more

Our service sucked always had to call them back out due to weeds never going away in our yard. Do not recommend!!

They did great job on a clean up of front trees and shrubs. On time, called the night before. I was impressed with their hard work effort and making everything look so good. Only negative comment s that they could have looked into the shrubs and removed ALL of the cuttings, not just what was on the ground. I will have them come back. read more

The invoices are left on the door after the service is performed. The latest invoice indicated work done on September 17 at 1:50 pm. There was no sign in the yard, which they sometimes do after applications, nor did we receive a phone call telling us they were coming, which they do so we can be sure to have the dog in the house. We were home before and after the time listed on the invoice but didn't see anyone from the company. My husband was on our backyard deck for about an hour and a half during the time they should have been here. When I called to see what had happened, I was told the the applicator was not in so they would look into it and call back the next day, September 18. Since this didn't happen, I called again and was told the person on the invoice (the applicator) was gone for the day and they would find out what happened and call tomorrow, which was today. They also said they would send someone out to apply the product. Neither thing happened. No call, no application to the lawn. We are DONE with this company! read more

Was very happy to start with regarding this company. The one thing we asked this company to do was to call the night before prior to coming out. They have done this now 1 time out of 6 visits. If we wouldn't have been here today they would have applied herbicide to the overseeded lawn we had them do. I mentioned to them today that I guess they didn't want me as a customer anymore because I wasn't happy and they informed me that maybe it was best that we part ways because they can't believe that they haven't been calling me the night before a visit. read more
