Even a safe choice like the pizza is delicious, crispy and perfect - good for picky eaters in a group. Service was amazing, we were welcomed as soon as we walked in, atmosphere is very cosy! Modern but still a warm, traditional space.

Having spent the best part of 4 hours driving back from Scotland on a Bank Holiday Monday, we were…read moreboth starving and we wanted a no fuss yet tasty dinner. We chanced our arms and went for a Besco favourite sans reservation, and popped along to Med One and were very fortunate to get the last table for two, early evening. Having prior knowledge of the portion sizes at Med One, we elected not to go for starters and went straight to mains. I had the lamb chops with accompanying potatoes and veg. My fella had a change from his usual and reliable Chicken Shawarma (which he loves) and had the Spinach & Chicken Gratin. Both of us fell silent whilst devouring the food, with the exception of customary food-appreciation noises, and both were very very good. The reason for the lower marks on the * rating is that the waiting on staff didn't get the order right in the first place and so we had to wait an extra 10 minute for mine to arrive (mixed up the reading of the order of gratin and chops with gratin and chips) and so when one incorrect dish arrived and the young lady realised there were two at the table, Richard's dinner was taken back and said it would be kept warm until mine arrived. Not brilliant but I suppose the positive that old style "writing down" an order by hand and not computerised is something to take from this family run business, and that they give a young person an opportunity to learn and earn (the young lady was clearly very new) is to be praised. Overall, great food and ok service, but a complimentary Diet Coke for the inconvenience might have been better received.

Moorish doesn't look too tasty from the outside, the…read moreexterior is a bit dishevelled and certainly doesn't make you stop and think "crikey, let's go in and eat here". But - make sure you do. There's a fantastic atmosphere. Probably due to the relaxed bohemian nature of the place. The furnishings are all low, encouraging you to get comfortable. Just angle your tummy perfectly so you can fit a lot in - the meze's come fully loaded. It's great for a night out with a girlfriend or boyfriend, or with friends, or with family. There really is, for want of a better cliche, something for everyone. The grub is North African, traditional Moroccan substance. As well as the meze, try the boureks.

(A practice that seems to be ever increasing - I really need to go shopping.) Their menu offers up a really tempting range of delicious, and might I add, healthy Moroccan cuisine. Everything from couscous, tagines, mezzes and more. Having been poorly of late, with a dreaded winter cold, I wanted something fresh and vitamin orientated, which appears to be rather difficult when you're ordering take away. Most of the offerings in Leeds aren't the best in terms of healthful eats, but with Moorish there's a plethora of good bites to choose from. I wanted to pick so much from the list, and ended up being only marginally sensible (but still rather greedy) opting for the shawarma sandwich, olives a lamb bourek and a lemon sherbett drink. The bourek was just incredible, deliciously flaky filo pastry encasing a beautifully spiced lamb sausage, absolutely packed with feta cheese. The sandwich was equally fantastic, being stuffed with the most tender lamb pieces, potato and other delightful bits. The food came with a little houmous and chilli tub, a tub of potato, beetroot and olive salad, and a mini tub of salsa-esque yum. The olives were also, of course, delicious. This was, as predicted, vastly too much food for me in one go so I now have a happy portion saved up for tomorrow. But, another absolutely noteworthy element of the delivery was this lemon drink. I have no idea what was contained within this compostable cup of the gods, but it was utter nectar. It was refreshing, sweet and so moreish (excuse the pun) that I've been left wishing I'd ordered two. All the above, paired with the fact that every piece of the packaging my food came in is recyclable, makes this place a stand out take away option. The delivery guy was amongst the friendliest I've encountered as well, which is always a pleasure. Basically, if you want take away but don't want to have to sift between fatty burgers and calorific (often sub standard) curries you have to choose Moorish. Healthy, delicious, independent and basically awesome. I'm just going to have to get off my arse one day soon and actually go there in person.

We were greeted as we came in and given a menu straight away without being seated, which I thought a bit odd, however as not all the party had arrived yet I asked for a glass of dry white wine at the bar, I was informed by the owner they don't sell much wine and all that was available was medium of which I was invited to taste, it was more medium sweet, similar to a dessert wine, I then spotted a bottle of Pinot Grigio which doesn't have the best reputation in the wine world but it is typically dry so I can't understand why I wasn't offered this in the first place. We had the early bird menu which is a starter, main and glass of wine for £10.95, the choices are very limited and considering they are advertised as being Italian weren't very Italian at all, I opted for the Greek Meze which consisted of tzatziki, which tasted shop bought, olives and a chilli dip served with warm pitta bread, very uninspiring but edible. Again the mains choice was also very limited so I went for the creamy chicken pasta without the chicken, it was really nice, al dente pasta with a delicious creamy, slightly chilli tomato sauce, the portions size was enormous and I barely finished half, one of our party ordered the same as me but there'd been a mix up with the order and we had all finished our meal by the time she got her pasta which was disappointing. The live keyboard player made for an enjoyable atmosphere and happily took requests. I wouldn't recommend for couples but it's passable for a large party.

He came over and announced how we had the table until 10:00pm even before we had been seated or shown to our table. Five minutes wait and we were shown to our table, a rather sad little table, with uncomfortable over worn chairs. This was plonked in front of the kitchen area. The waitors came to ask for our order and then forgot the drinks. why continue to ask what we want? Starters came, which were rather bland. The mains were bland too and unspiring. The staff were miserable, except for a blonde waitress who seemed to know what she was doing. I won't ever be returning there. I'd rather go to Pizza Express. Correction - The mains were bland but the brushetta and humous dishes were really nice as was my partners dish of Lobster Raviolli and a pizza we ordered.
