I'm not one to leave negatives reviews often, but Fox Pest Control has been a big disappointment. I called them about a month ago, after having issues with bees burrowing into the side of our house. The first time I called, I was able to reach someone right away. The service representative was very friendly, and they came out the next day and sprayed. I was told that they would return in about 2 weeks to check on things. They never did. The situation with the bees didn't improve, so I've been trying to contact them daily, sitting on hold multiple times a day, unable to reach anyone. While you're on hold, they even say "put us on speaker, grab a snack while you wait for a representative!". They aren't kidding. No one answers. I tried calling at least 20 times over the course of two weeks. You have an option to leave a VM after waiting on hold for 30 minutes. I did that as well. No one returned my call. Finally, today, I emailed them and requested to cancel service, along with the yearly contract. I don't expect a reply, but we will see! I just talked to my bank and filed a dispute. I'l be finding a new exterminator. read more

Came to treat my house the exterminator literally didn't even know what kind of bug was infesting my house. Had to call back a week later since the treatment did not work. Was told they would be here between 8-12 it is now 1:44 and they told me they have 2 appointments ahead of me. WORST ever you will literally waste your time for DAYS read more

If I could give this review a 0 star rating I would! The salesmen are misleading in the information that they tell you and just assume you know what they meant. When their own manager basically calls you a liar before even listening to the phone call, that's a problem. Every person you speak with gives you a different quote for the exact same service and acts like they are doing you a favor. They say they pride themselves on working with military but not in our case. Good thing I read through the contract carefully before signing it. Having just moved to Grand Island, I was hesitant when someone from this business was canvassing my neighborhood - I thought to myself that this business must need the business, otherwise why would they have been canvassing door-to-door? After listening to the sales pitch I decided to give it a shot knowing that ticks and mice were an issue on our property. Less than 24 hours later, the service technician (or as I would call him, "the real expert") showed up at our door. Matt was incredibly knowledgable and explained every step of the process as he laid granules, sprayed, and placed bait boxes. He pointed out all of the areas of concern in the house and surrounding property and made suggestions on ways we could improve the situation. He was super friendly and I felt confident once we met Matt that we had made a good decision to go with Fox Pest Control. Oh, and extra points for Matt being a dog person and answering any question I had about the product in relation to our animals! We will be asking for Matt in the future for service calls - the dogs loved him and so did we. read more

Fox was HORRIBLE! I hired them because I could hear a rodent in the wall of my bedroom. After four service calls in four moths, I still had a rodent in the wall of my bedroom. They would come out, put out bait boxes and that was the extent of their service. They did not look to see where rodents might be coming in or doing anything other than put out bait boxes. Do not waste your money. Just go buy your own bait boxes. read more

I unfortunately called this company for a property of mine after they sent people door to door to solicit services. They were friendly on the phone and I had them come out to treat a building of mine. They tried to set up a reoccurring service for me but I declined because I just needed a 1 time service. But, then 4 months later I get a bill stating they came out to treat the same building again. I called then and they said it was their mistake and I never signed anything for quarterly treatments. They said they would cancel then I'll. The next day I got a receipt saying the bill was paid with my credit card on file. I called them again and had to speak with a manager to get authorization to reverse the charge. The whole ordeal was very annoying and extremely unprofessional. I've heard bad things about them before but it seems like they try to get your business and then perform services you don't request so they can charge your credit card. Very Shady!!!! read more

I gave a review before job was done. While we really like the tech who came multiple times . The job was never completed. Your office claims 100% guarantee but that was not true. The people who answer need better training. When I'm spending this much money I want the job to be done. But I will have to use another company. The " Manager" talk with me and explained what the actual warranty was . I would have shopped around had I known this info. Joe the manager told me he would send Tech back and make sure I was satisfied with work. I never heard from them again. I will never use this company again . Buyer beware. read more

Poor Quality, Impolite Customer Services, and Untrustworthy. Do not let them mislead you! as soon as they got your card number, the smiley face will disappear and you will never be able to talk or to reach to the agent who did the agreement with you. Quality: "Below Zero" Untrustworthy, where they have charged my card for a guaranteed service that supposed to be free of charge. Updated 7/20/2019: Had a knock on the door from someone at Fox Pest Control today, trying to talk to me about the "misunderstanding" we had two months ago. And to see if I was interested in signing up for services again. Um, that's a hard no. If I get another knock on the door from this company, I will file a complaint from the Better Business Bureau. ______________________________________________ A gentleman (named Samuel S.) was going door to door offering people to sign up for a yearly service plan. We signed up, because we have a spider problem in one bathroom, and stink bugs when the weather is nice. He scheduled our first service for Monday 5/13 at 3pm. By 3:30 when no one showed up, I called to make sure they were still coming and to reschedule if they couldn't come because of the rain. I spoke to the receptionist Mackie and she told me my time was actually between 3pm and 5pm. I told her that was not a problem and I continued waiting. 5:30 rolls around, still no exterminator. I call again, Mackie tells me she sees in my file that the exterminator DID come (at 3:45). I tell her he absolutely was not there. She tells me he's finishing up on a job, she will speak to him when he is done and find out what's going on. She calls me at 6:17pm saying she just spoke to him and I should be hearing from him shortly. 6:23 I hear from the exterminator (Also named Sam, but a different Sam than the one who signed me up) and he tells me he came at 3:45pm, rang the bell and knocked on the door and since no one answered, he just treated the outside perimeter of the house. Assures me he will be at my house by noon today (Tuesday, 5/14) to treat the inside of the home. We have a camera outside and a Nest video doorbell. He absolutely did NOT come treat the outside of the house yesterday, or ring the b. He also did NOT show up today. At 12:30pm I called them and spoke to the receptionist Amy, and explained to her that I'm beginning to feel like I was duped. They charged my credit card $108 for a service I 1000% did NOT receive. Amy apologizes profusely, said she needed to speak with her manager and I would be hearing back very shortly. It is now 3:00pm and I haven't heard anything back. I suppose I'll just suck it up and consider the $108 as a total loss. So.. life lesson: never sign up on the spot with a company going door to door, without doing research first. ESPECIALLY this company. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Be incredibly wary of this company. read more

I rarely post negative reviews, however, my experience warrants it. I've used Fox for about a year. Today they were scheduled to come to do a "winter treatment" and the whole family was home. We saw the Fox Pest vehicle pull up and sit on the street parked directly in front of our house. The kids were playing in the snow in the backyard and I was waiting until he came out before calling them inside. He was sitting in the vehicle for 20-30 minutes but never got out of the vehicle. Then the Fox vehicle left. About 30 minutes later I get an email saying "we've completed your exterior barrier treatment etc." and they charged me the normal rate. I knew I didn't see him get out but to be sure, I walked outside to look if I saw footprints as we have about 5-7 inches of snow. There were ZERO prints on either side of the house which means he didn't touch the sides of the house and he couldn't have gotten to the backyard. I call Fox Pest HQ and explain the situation. I make it incredibly clear that I don't want them to accuse an employee of not doing the service and I don't want the same person coming back over disgruntled. Simply send someone else over and discount this service 50% for the "mistake". "Ok, I'll talk to the manager and call you back". 30 minutes later the disgruntled employee rings my doorbell. "I hear you have a problem with my service?" (Are you kidding me!?) So I get to have the fun conversation. I said, my problem is, there was no service. You didn't get out of the car and then I get an invoice saying you were done. "I did your house" he says looking frustrated. Well, if you did the house, how come there are ZERO footprints and you didn't come in the backyard. "Dude, I did your house, I don't skip services". I walk him to the side of the house where the gate is, which is beautifully snowcovered and completely footprint-free. I say to him, look down, you just made 6 big ol footprints in the snow- why are there none around the house. "Maybe the wind blew them over". You left here an hour ago I tell him- it's not snowing and there is no wind. "You want me to re-do your house again?" No thanks. The first time was good enough. After he left I called and canceled my $500/yr service. Thanks for listening to my request and for letting me handle your employee. read more

Contacted Fox for some additional "spider" control as noticed the increase of them in the yard/deck. Its early but a good time to get them . I had Greg as the technician and he was awesome as he explained his plan and went around with me as I pointed out all the outside areas of concern. Then when he was completed the outside he came inside and was extra efficient and generous with taking care of the basement area and every nook and cranny that was pointed out though he already knew where to attack. He has a great personality and interest in doing the job well and would like to see him again as we have the first spring spraying I would think fairly soon as part of our contract. I also recommended FOX to my son in law and he also loves the service. I have to admit that last year we saw virtually no spiders and we live in a tough area with water. This was after their first contract with us that has been renewed. My son in law also noticed a tremendous job with spiders in his house and outside as well and we are both very pleased with the service. I didnt realize it but may need to call in for some bee spraying this year. read more

He was there 2 hours trying to figure out where they were coming from and didn't give up until he found the problem on the roof/ Chimney. Terrible service. We gave this company a chance all summer. We had ants and spiders and mice in the garage and nothing they did helped. They offer "targeted" treatment as well as put out baits for the mice but the problem did not go away. We bought our own ant baits as well as mice traps with peanut butter and that is what worked. Don't spend your $ unless you go with a company that works like orkin. Go ahead and ask the pest control guys that come out about certain bugs and they have limited knowledge. They charged me $150.00 for cancelling and I will fight it and all the rest of the charges because their service does not work. read more

Jake Hadley could not have knocked on my door at a better time in my life!!! This year the disgusting bugs have been unbearable and I was going to do something about it. He was super knowledgeable, friendly, responsive and most importantly not pushy. Everything happened the way he said it would and when I did in fact run into an issue, Jake had given me his personal cell so I reached him immediately. He responded and resolved the challenge right away! I must say Tessa who came to reservice and spray was also a doll! She was on time and took extra precautions to make us feel satisfied.
