I can't help you with the last three but I can recommend you get the flowers from The Northern Flower. Situated on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter, it's a cracking little florist that sells a small but brilliant selection of everything from roses, lillies and gerberas to birds of paradise, exotic flowers and big plants. Everything is reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and accomodating and they also sell a small selection of wine and champagne. Good luck and god speed!

Any way northern flower is a small shop front that hosts all manner of lovely green matter. At different times of the year they keep all varietys of plants from orchids to the very cool carnivorous plants including pitcher plants and monkey traps (they dangle down and have been known to catch monkeys in their huge pitcher mouths). The folk behind the counter (always one girl whenever I'm there) knows her stuff inside out and can advise you on an easy to care for birthday present, gift for the girlfriend all the way to more technical beasts such as the before mentioned.

I saw a lovely bunch of white lily's for less than £20 last time I wandered by. They do a delivery service that can get flowers to your loved ones in 3 hours (presuming they live less than 3 hours away)! Perfect for any accidently forgotten anniversary or birthday. They also sell balloons to add an extra touch to your gift.

Now a mental note should be taken here from Mr future Melissa, I really really like the Sunflowers. Got it? The staff are nice and helpful and if you really struggle between your Birds of Paradise and Azaleas, they'll be more than willing to help you out. You can also match them up with choccies or Champagne and you'll even get same day delivery if you get your orders in before 2pm. So go on dig deep and enjoy.

I do not live locally and sometimes have been disappointed by flowers that were sent out of the area(I think sometimes they bank on you not getting to see what you sent) Not so with this florist. Every bouquet, arrangement and spray has been lovely. Even more importantly, she actually listens to what you want. I had to order some funeral flowers for a family member we lost in very sudden and shocking circumstances. I wasn't thinking straight and it would have been very easy to take advantage of me at this time. Not so however, She took ages listening to me, she talked me through what I wanted and then having agreed on the item put up with me ringing twice to make sure I was spending enough. She told me I did not need to increase my spending and that she would what I wanted. The flowers were stunning, a great price and EXCATLY what I wanted. Every time i have needed something special she has provided the perfect flowers for the occasion. I trust this lady. She had a real feel for flowers and is sensitive and caring to the needs of her customers.

This beautiful little florists is set in the heart of Otley along one its busier shopping streets…read more It's a bit of a bizarre one, since it has a separate chocolatiers attached to it which it seems you can only access through the florist itself, but this is certainly not a problem. In fact I imagine this scenario will be most invaluable to all those chaps (and in some cases romantic chapettes, like me) who wish to go down the specialised flowers and chocolates route for Valentine's day! They had a number of different selections on display, with some gorgeous ready made bouquets and some gorgeous bulbs and plants as well. They were selling two hyacinths for £5, which is great as they smell divine once they have bloomed! I think my favourite flowers that were on display were the lilies, which looked beautiful, and some lovely bright tulips and daffodils too. All in all this is a great little florist and chocolatiers combo which I will certainly be visiting again!

I…read morecommonly buy big bunches of Eucalyptus, Spruce and Eryngium to decorate my house at Christmas. I have called in today and was horrified at the price of things. I ended up buying a fraction of what I normally buy and when I commented on the price I was told that the shop had changed ownership in the summer and their mark up was less than the previous owners. I was also told that the market had changed and things were a lot more expensive. Out of interest, I popped across the road to Tranmere florist and prices were much more in line with what I expected i.e. Eryngium per stem £2.25 as opposed to £3.95. If you're buying a few things, this makes a huge difference. My advice, if you have a vague idea of what you're looking for, try Tranmere first!

They were very helpful on the phone as I tried to remember what flowers my mother does and does not like - carnations, gerbers - I'm a novice. Array of Blossom's motto of adding a personal touch to their service really is true. It was easy enough to specify the flowers and price (around £40) that I wanted to spend and they made up a bouquet specially for me. I never got to see it obviously as I wasn't around but my mum definitely liked the surprise and there were no difficulties with delivery on Mother's Day as I've actually had in the past with other florists. Get it right: like these guys. Their shop on Bury New Road is cute with small potted plants too, ready to take home. They would also be fabulous for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and christenings - all floral services which they offer.
