This is actually probably the nearest fish and chip shop to where I live, however due to the excellence that Five Star (Station Road) and the good reputation of Top Gun, until recently I'd never even been to Victoria Fish Bar. The food in my opinion is pretty average, in particular I really wasn't that keen on the fish. The staff on the other hand were incredibly friendly and chatty and I almost come back purely due to them. What is special about this place though, is that it's one of the only Fish and Chip shops which is open on a Sunday. So whilst from Monday to Saturday I'd recommend going somewhere else, if you find yourself on a Sunday with a desperate craving for Fish and Chips, you know just where to go.

It's a local chippy so out of town and maybe a little out of the way but easy to park up by on Caereithin Square so definitely worth a regular venture(just as well it's not too close to me or could prove far too tempting!!!). The only slight niggle I have is that for those unfamiliar with 33 it is often unclear whether or not you should wait to be seated (you don't need to). What's further confusing is that it is actually table service, though staff can be rather slow so I often find it easier to just pay and order at the bar. Don't let any of that put you off though, 33 is well worth a visit, and I'm sure that you like me will just keep coming back!

It is always busy here and often you are queuing to take out and waiting for a seat to eat in, the staff are good though and try to get you a table as quick as possible, but sometimes they rush you to get out also.
