Serving meals all day every day, The Celtic is an ideal place to pop into for a beer, snack or for an evening meal. With seating both outside and upstairs, it's good for group entertaining. Beers and wines are plentiful (Leffe, Hoegarden, Duval and local types sitting comfortably alongside better knowns such as Stella and Guiness!) but suprisingly, The Celtic serves a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails, presented in a strangely tropical and extravagant way that even Del Boy would be proud of! Delicious, and well worth trying, especially the one featuring Papaya and Bacardi. Food wise, the ommellettes are filling (mushroom and fromage a favourite) and the pizzas thin, crispy and delicious. The beers are a Blond (a bit like bitter, made with Kentish hops), Brunne (in the Belgian style), Ambree (a flavoursome golden amber beer) and Blanche (a fresh, wheat beer in the German style). All are excellent, and you can buy bottles to take away too. The bar itself has a pavement cafe area, with tables and bar service inside and a bar area upstairs for use when they are very busy. You can see the brewery equipment through large glass windows, with some of the kit in the bar itself. Food is limited to several varieties of 'Flammenkuchen', slices of thin German-style pizza (or a bit like quiche, depending on how you see it). Very good service from friendly and efficient staff. Recommended.

Blanche, blonde, blonde sur lie, ambrée, ambrée sur lie, brune : six sortes au total. Bien mis en valeur, les divers postes de fabrication ajoutent au charme de ce vaste et bel établissement. Deux étages, une décoration des plus réussies et un comptoir qui n'en finit pas. Ambiance calme avec un tout petit fond musical, c'est un endroit où l'on peut parler sans s'égosiller. A déguster aussi les flammekueches maison.

NO FOSTER'S at an Australian pub. WTH?…read more Been there 3 times. The setting is nice and they have a huge screen for sports whenever there's a big game going on. Food is a bit pricey. The owner is awesome but the bartenders could improve the way they interact with customers. Asked for half pints for me and my friends on a game night, the guy dryly told me they only served pints that night as if I was supposed to know...okay...you can be nice about it too... no Fosters's = minus 1 star bartender's attitude =: minus 1 star
