Frank & Oak is a Montreal-based online shop that now has several local and international brick-and-mortar stores (there's actually one out in the Adams Morgan area in DC!). Owned by two friends, Ethan Song and Hicham Ratnani, this men's store offers a variety of shirts, sweaters, t-shirts, shorts, blazers, suits, outwear, shoes, boot, accessories, wallets, and bags. The hubs and I stopped by this location, as it was part of the Mile End shopping district, and we were warmly welcomed. Naomi, who was one of the SAs, was super sweet, informative, and extremely helpful! She showed us a current collaboration between Naked & Famous with Frank & Oak, which the hubs fell in love with (if you know anything about Japanese denim, you know that they are AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING). The color and the fit was unbelievable, and they looked mighty good! I was ecstatic to hear that they had a location back at home, and if you order via their app, you can save on shipping for a pick-up in person at the store. The store itself doesn't have a large selection, but if you find other items online, the store is more than happy to order it for you. On a separate note, this store also has a coffee shop as well as a barber on-site - so, you can get your caffeine fix to give you some energy to shop, and then get groomed before you head out. :D Definitely check this place out for some fresh-looking wear! +ask for Naomi :D :D :D +Naked & Famous collaboration denim available :D +coffee shop on-site +barber on-site

A proof that they charge you too much even tho I picked the option to only send me 200$ max of a style plan box.

Throw in some Ray Bans, bean bag chairs, leather satchels, and graphic t-shirts and flak jackets (oh, and a few retro metal lunch boxes for good measure), and you have the gist of this eclectic, wonderful store on St. Denis. There's two levels, and the main street level has the lion's share of clothing and shoes. Vans, Converse, DM's, trendy flip-flops... My kid is a sneaker fanatic and we couldn't tear her away from this store. We loved how all the differently designed sneaks were suspended from the ceiling. Like, hundreds! Yes, shoes and sneakers are a definite draw here, but there seems to be so much more hidden around every corner. And the store is deep, and there's a downstairs which has a gazillion different backpacks here. I'm not exaggerating. A gazillion. What a fun store! Very unique and funky. And the staff here were super friendly, too. Bonus! This was my kid's favorite store in all of Montreal and, if truth be known, we loved it too.

Everything is neat and organized and the staff are ready to help guide you to what you're looking for. If you're into penny boards, boots, jackets, leather satchels, this is the place to hit up. Don't forget to connect with the dessert bar before you leave as well! Shawn is a great asset to the store and has a variety of his own personal creations to purchase and all for a very reasonable price. If you can, I suggest trying every one of his flavors he has that day. Make sure to come back if you're ever in the area again because he makes sure to update his menu periodically. (Bacon bacon latte is to DIE FOR).

I recently visited this custom suit store at the Brossard location to purchase a suit for my…read morefiancé for our wedding, and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience from start to finish. Initially, the process seemed promising. Felix, the stylist took measurements and even performed a 3D scan, assuring us of a perfect fit. We also relied on a specific suit on display (the mannequin at the back of the store) to guide our choices, especially for the lapel style. We pointed out this suit explicitly and emphasized our preference for that exact lapel. After finalizing our choices, we paid the full amount of almost 1,500$. When the suit arrived six weeks later, we were shocked to find that the lapel was noticeably different from what we had chosen. The stylist explained that the AI system had adjusted the lapel size for my fiancé's tall and broad build. While this was frustrating, it paled in comparison to the other issues: the suit was extremely tight, had visible tension lines, restrictive bicep areas, and poor stitching quality. However, Felix was convinced that the suit fitted my fiance perfectly. It was after expressing our concerns that he then decided to send it for alterations. We returned the suit for alterations, but two weeks later, the problems persisted. This time a very kind woman, Ketsia, helped us. However, we found creases around the shoulders and a very visible expanded bicep area, where the suit was made larger. The suit still didn't fit well or look clean. When we questioned the lapel issue again, the stylist showed us our purchase profile, which had the wrong lapel checked off. The one we wanted was above the one that was checked off. This was then escalated to the manager, Eve, who called me to discuss the situation. Following this call, the stylist (Felix) called me to "clear his name". Felix denied making any mistakes and accused us of the error and was upset that we questioned his integrity. He then cited terms and conditions (which we were never shown) stating the suit was non-refundable. Finally, the conclusion that was given to us is that they would press the creases and they would remake the vest for an additional 400$ on top of the 1,500$ we had already paid. Today, when we went to pick up the suit, Eve (the manager), claimed to have reviewed the camera footage and the receipt, concluding that the mistake was our fault. I repeatedly asked if the footage showed Felix presenting us with the four lapel options and us pointing to the one we supposedly chose. She then retracted her statement about the cameras and said her decision was based solely on the receipt (which had the wrong lapel listed because Felix likely selected the incorrect one). She refused to refund our money or remake the vest. She also insisted that her stylist, Felix, wouldn't make such a mistake, implying he is infallible. When I requested to escalate the matter to the owners, Eve refused, claiming the owners were on vacation and that the decision had already been made with their involvement. When I insisted on speaking with the owners, Eve declined and asserted that her decision as the manager was final. Despite their high talk about integrity, Eve blatantly lied, claiming the owner was out of town on vacation. However, their Instagram story clearly showed one of the owners in the store, assisting a customer. I contacted several competitors and explained the issues we faced. They were all shocked by the lack of empathy shown by this company. They assured me that in a situation like this, they would have gone above and beyond for their customers, especially for a wedding suit. This entire experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. The lack of accountability, poor craftsmanship, and additional financial demands are unacceptable. I strongly advise against using this store for any custom suit needs. Save your time, money, and frustration by going elsewhere.
