I see that I am not…read more I've been associated with this practice for 3-4 years and visited the office perhaps 4 times. The doctor I had assigned to me left a couple of years ago. I hadn't had a need to go there since. When I recently tried to make an appointment, I was told that I needed to schedule a "reestablishment appointment" with a new provider. While I didn't understand, figuring that doctor's patient charts were put together for a reason - to be reviewed. I made the appointment and showed up on time. I was given paperwork to fill out and I was finished within 5 minutes or so. I wasn't called to the back for about 20 minutes after I had arrived. After a brief weigh-in and blood pressure read, the nurse left saying the doctor would be right in. Thirty minutes later and, after seeing no indication that anyone was headed my way, I left. I had other things to do. At the end of my day, I received a voicemail saying that the doctor was just about to see me when he noticed I wasn't there. They wanted to know if I was alright and asked that I call back. I did call back, but the only thing I was told was that the office wanted to know if I needed to set up another appointment. I asked for the office manager to call me. I was told she was not in and a message would be given to her. She called me back the next day to explain that they strive to provide the best care they can and sometimes appointments run a little late. She eventually said she was sorry, but hoped I understood that things like this happen. She asked if I'd like to set up another appointment. I told her that I didn't think so. I told her that I would be searching for another provider. She said she was going to inform her supervisor(s) and one would be calling me. I never received a call. This is not the first time that I or members of my family have shown up for appointments only to wait pretty long periods to be seen. This is part of the Bayview Medical Group and I believe they maybe over scheduling providers on a regular basis. How I wish there were some non-corporate doctors out there that treated patients with respect.

I called to see if I could get an appointment. The receptionist's curt and impersonal attitude, quickly mocked my questions. We are not taking new patients!! Did you hear me? " we are not taking patients" without any effort to help me further. I inquired to leave a message with a particular Dr. and she insisted the Dr didn't work there! Made me spell the name! She started laughing and said "o". I was expecting a more personalized experience, especially considering the reputation of your medical office. However, It was very clear that the staff were not interested in providing any kind of personal assistance, and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope you will take my feedback seriously and take steps to ensure that your staff are providing the kind of personal service that patients / people expect and deserve when trying to navigate the healthcare system.

But honestly I was very nervous to go into any doctor's office after the pandemic hit. But it's that time of year and I really needed to get a physical done and make sure I'm ok... My mom referred this location to me. And she always talks very highly about her doctor. So I was like what the heck! I called to verify that they accept my health insurance and that they are accepting new patients. And they were! I went in the afternoon. Because that was the only available appointment and the appointment was 3 weeks out to the date that I called. But that was fine because I wasn't in a rush. When I arrived that afternoon it wasn't that busy. I checked in, filled out the new patient forms, sat and waited for my name to get called. It honestly took about less than 10 mins and my name was called. A nurse lead me to the back area. Directed me to leave my purse on the chair inside the room and told me to jump on the scale to get my weight and etc. Omg!!! When I saw how much I weighed! I was in shock... lol! But it's cool... I plan to lose some of this thickness soon. Lol! Now back to my review! The nurse was very pleasant, she was welcoming, and attentive. She asked me the normal routine questions. Then she told me the doctor will be in soon. I sat and waited a couple minutes. Then my doctor arrived. We greeted each other. I explained to him what I wanted to get done and etc. He scheduled me to get my blood work and etc done. Now my doctor was fantastic! He clearly explained almost everything about my health to me and did suggest certain vitamins and etc. I had to fast for a day. So I could've came back the next day in the morning to get my blood work done. Everything was honestly easy-going. Make sure you find out the lab times before you leave. Just in case you have to come back the next day to get your lab work done. They do labs at a certain time frame in the morning. Then break for lunch. Then come back at a certain time frame too. My phlebotomist was awesome too! I can't stand needles. And I didn't feel a thing! If you currently don't have a primary care physician give them a call! Before I contacted Battlefield Medical Associates. I called so many different medical offices to try too schedule a physical. No one was taking any new patients or they didn't have any openings until next year. So #thankyou to this medical office for having an appointment available! :)
