I've had my hair cut by several different barbers in the shop and I always walk out of there with a solid cut. The second location I found on yelp had a line out the door, that's when I was lucky enough to stumble upon this location. It was my son, and I travel to find a barber while also having hungry stomachs, so we were having a hard time being patient. It was on a Sunday around 1:20. From the moment you walked in, you noticed a clean, sleek barbershop. They had tons of space and tons of other services you could consider them a one-stop-shop. It smelt great, and the barbershop chairs were very unique you can tell a lot of thought went into setting this location up. Make a list of the pros and the cons: Pros: Open on Sunday No wait Barbers are very well trained Cons: They don't accept card Employee highlight: Angel is a monster with the clippers. Chris was professional, as was his space, and he was very hospitable. I think the colorful comic book/superhero smocks are a fun touch! I left to run errands and came back to a clean cut and groomed boyfriend (including the eyebrows). :) My guy said we might have to drive up for cuts now, which is fine by me because I really like Melbourne! In all seriousness, this was the first cut that my boyfriend has been truly happy with in a VERY long time. Brian opened 5th Avenue Barber Shop post covid.I stayed connected with Peter who is working with Brian. Peter has alway done a perfect job on my haircut I drove for 2 years just to stay connected with these guys! They know how to treat a customer! When I moved to Oak Hill, FL north of Titusville in 2023 I tried to keep up my contact with them but my schedule kept me from a steady schedule so I tried a local shop... Not the same service and level of attention. I have now gone back to 5th Avenue Barber Shop and will contiue to use them! well woth the 1.5 hr trip to get a hair cut! WIth this Barber Shop you get the feeling that you really matter and are treated with the utmost respect! Today when asking for a appt via tiktok pm to Madison, my regular barber, she wrote an ai-generated message saying she thinks we're not a good fit professionally and then blocked me. I drove over and walked in to ask her what the reason was. She said she had personal reasons to do with someone outside the shop. She wouldn't tell me who. I have nothing against Madison at all and honestly we got along very well until today. When I asked if her mom, Michelle, was available to cut my hair, the other employee, Michelle, yelled "take a f*king hint dude". I said what do you mean? She said "we don't want you here" "we can refuse service to anyone". When I asked why, Michelle said "you're a condescending douche bag". I've always been more than polite to them. I've never experienced anything like that at a business, and never there. I've always tipped Maddie very well, even when I didn't like the haircut. I would normally recommend this place minus the employee Michelle who has the bad attitude (she's always angry rude and bitter, but I've never said a cross word to her), but now I'd have to recommend hard against. If they gossip with people outside the shop, you may show up one day to find, out of the blue, your barber doesn't want to cut your hair and hates your guts. And they'll call you derogatory names. Low class. I still have no clue what the reason is. Rude, disrespectful, ungrateful, and just bad attitudes. Avoid at all costs!
