Though Proctor gets a bad reputation because of a small population of students who are extremely challenging, the majority of the students there are charismatic and bright. The faculty is really exceptional, meeting incredible demands by the state, administration, and daily interaction with students from both poverty and affluence. The diversity is really a gift, with many students teaching others of tolerance and open-mindedness that they would never get to experience in another district. Though it is a large school (and really should be two schools) it's peaceful most of the time. Test scores are improving and great things happen there each day.

As client of the Neighborhood Center I have found their to be a lot of Mismanagement and…read moredisorganization , people doing jobs that they have not been trained for example, running specialized groups as an example, DBT skills groups, which you need years of training to do. Some staff have barely entry level qualifications or none at all. Some times they let members run specialized groups and the members give dangerous and some times harmful advice. I found the Neighborhood Center to be very dangerous and members to be very unruly people at times begging for money and stealing from me some times their is no staff present to deal with dire situations that might in need of attention. I have stopped going there for my own safety. The location is not very safe also. I will never go back!
