It was 6 am and the gates were open thankfully! The trails are well maintained and I felt safe jogging there. I also went to this park the last Sunday, just to hangout. Being Germany, you can have a few drinks without any worries, there are people lounging and playing games in the feild, while children play by the playground. There's also a Kindergarten in there, but I don't know much about it.

It is a popular park with joggers, and many are always seen running along the paths and over the grass. There are area that are ideal for football, and then there are area that are perfect for a bit of relaxation and an amazing view of Frankfurts Skyline. This park is well worth a visit, no matter what you're looking to do, there is a space for you to enjoy the beauty of this park.

When looking around, you come across a secondary wall in the interior which you think is the exit, but is in fact a Chinese Garden that is beautifully decorated with a little pogoda and Chinese sculptures. It is a beautiful park that needs to be visited when in Frankfurt, and will give you a sense of peace and calm upon entering from the hustle and bustle that is Frankfurt.

Like most parks in Frankfurt they have signs everywhere saying dogs on a line only, which is really unfortunate :-( The Korean garden is located within this park as is a old theatre and a couple of cafes with lots of outdoor seating. Plenty of picnic areas and lots of space to spend a nice warm day. Been here twice and more than likely to come back here again. It's not massive but big enough to spend a day walking around and relaxing on the nice mowed grass areas of the park.

Recently, as a result of the book fair in 2006, a fine pair of Korean houses have been erected in a quiet corner of the park.

We loved going to the large market, you can grab all forms of public transportation, find a nice restaurant or cafe to have a seat outside on a nice day or go to one of the many parks within walking distance. It's also not far (walking or by train) from Konstablerwache, which is another thriving area. There is parking in the parking garage for Saturn and on-street parking. There is also a parking lot behind Rewe.

More for restaurants/cafes, not bars/clubs. Nice atmosphere.read more
