A friend and I dined here tonight. We chose to sit outside as it was a nice evening. I don't know when I've ever been so disgusted in all my life while dining... We were seated next to this table with two men, one of whom was knocking back the drinks and getting louder and more obnoxious by the minute. He was a grossly overweight slob who had to comment on every young lady who walked by, i.e., "she's hot" and what he'd like to do with them. He had a filthy mouth - every other word was the "F" word and it was said at full volume. There were quite a few families dining with their children. I was surprised to see that the waiters kind of cowtowed to him and the drinks kept coming. Then we found out that he is one of the owners. WHAT??????????? I am so angry that an establishment owner would conduct himself in such a manner. What an arrogant, pompous idiot. We complained to the manager on duty this evening...and I will follow up with a phone call tomorrow. But rest assured, they will not get another nickel of my money and I will be sure to tell everyone I know of my experience this evening. Oh...the food? Go to Frankie's at Providence...there is NO comparison!! The food tonight was forgettable - wish I could say the same for the dining experience. read more

Frankies is back. The ribs were good and tender. Small portions though. Price fair. Establishment much cleaner than all the other local frankies. read more

I took my family there last night and it's a nice place, but the food was cold and was not as good as I thought it would be. Also we waitied 45 minutes for a couple of burgers. Maybe it was an off night for the staff, but we won't be visiting it again. read more

We went to Frankies last Saturday night. I grew up in VB so I know Frankies had the reputation for the "best ribs in town". My husband ordered the baby back ribs with pulled pork and I ordered the beef ribs with hot wings. First, the beef ribs were so hard that I could not chew it and had to remove it from my mouth...disgusting! I didn't get my green beans and the hot wings were very small, crunchy, with almost no sauce. The only thing I can say is the food was just gross. The manager took my food off but did not even have the courtesy of coming to our table. Horrible experience!!! read more

This is not to be confused with the famous Frankie's Ribs that has been at the beach for years. I believe they are fighting in court over the use of the name. Frankies at Nimmo is not much. I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I have been there numerous times since they have opened in april and What more can i say then WOW! the absolute best ribs i have ever had but thats not all they excell in I had one of the best Delmonico steaks in my life there. My hat is off to the kitchen staff there. they have the most beautiful place on the redmill side of town with a huge outdoor patio as well. And for a guy my age some of the best looking bartenders too. I heard they werent the original but i defenitely couldnt tell the difference and after being there im not sure im interested in the original .i would defenitley recommend them to all my friends and family and eventhose i dont know. The BEST BBQ style Restaurant in hampton roads hands down. read more
