Disappointing Experience. Lack of Transparency & Customer Service…read more I paid $172 to have several dozen balloons filled with helium at the Cappels in Blue Ash for a 3/29/26 event. I called a week in advance to confirm they fill balloons purchased elsewhere. I was told yes, given a price estimate, and specifically told the store was closed on Sunday, so I would need to bring them in Saturday. (I was accused of calling the wrong store. I did not and my phone log is proof) I dropped the balloons off Saturday afternoon and paid in full. By the next morning, all but one balloon had deflated. Since I was told the store was closed Sunday, I had no way to address the issue before my event. When I followed up, I was told they don't guarantee balloons purchased elsewhere, a policy that was never disclosed. Only later after informing the owner that my negative review would be left on social media, did she offer a partial refund, which I declined, as the service completely failed and was left with no balloons for my event. Mistakes happen, I get it but it's the lack of transparency, accountability and willingness to back the customer when THEIR services obviously failed. Customers deserve clear communication and fair resolution. DO BETTER CAPPELS! I definitely will not return.

I'm kinda confused by the pharmacy part. You can buy your average, everyday shampoos, body washes, or razors here. It feels like an odd use of space - especially when these items are definitely cheaper at your big box store. The rest of the store is pretty cool though. From garden supplies to unique pens to seasonal decor to toys I've never seen to baby and dog gear, there's a mini half-aisle dedicated to most types of "stuff". A lot of it is brands and styles I haven't seen at big-box stores, and it all looks way higher quality than dollar stores. All prices end in a flat number ($5 vs $4.99) and everything looked properly signed. Prices aren't dollar store cheap, but they're not pricy either. Most everything average is in the $3 to $8 range. I found lots of cute little things that would make great gifts; lots of branded merch (Bluey, Pokemon, Hello Kitty, etc.) Lots of stuff to look through. Most that you probably don't *need*, but I found a lot of stuff I wanted. The store was nicely organized, pretty clean, and well-stocked and faced. The two employees were really friendly. Both greeted me upon entry and asked if I needed anything when I was staring at a display for awhile. Bathroom was clean and single-room unisex too. It felt fun and playful and welcoming to shop there, and I'll definitely be back.

GFS is a good store to know about as we seem to increasingly have shortages of basic kitchen…read morestaples. I stumbled onto GFS here three years ago when the pandemic started and every grocery store was out of bread flour. This place has two different types of large bakery sized bags of bread flour and it's inexpensive per pound at under $15 for a 25 lb bag (as of late 2022.) Many items are priced middling or high... GFS is really a restaurant supply store so in theory you'd come here to find everything you need in bulk quantities, not to save on every item. A few things they do have are unique, such as $13 for a four pack of butane cans for stoves, and some large cryo vacuum packed cuts of meat such as brisket. I find small individual 5 oz frozen tuna steaks, and some items such as individual whole racks of ribs frozen. It's a very quiet store most of the time so this is a good destination if you're frazzled and want to avoid crowds. Easy in and out and never a line at the checkout.

We called ahead earlier in the day, wanting a specific bourbon. Three bottles. The person on the phone said it is one of their stock items and they should have it in stock. (He did not look to confirm). We went out of our way and rushed our activity to get to the store before they closed. They did NOT have the bourbon in stock and there was not even a sticker for it to go on the shelf. Not a happy customer!!
