STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I hired this company to…read moreinstall irrigation and grass in my backyard and part of my side yard. They gave us nothing but problems. I gave them thousands of dollars, and ended up having to hire someone to fix their mess or fix it myself. To start, the worker who was to install the irrigation was supposed to take 2 days, but it took over a week. The reason being: he kept napping on my front porch or in my side yard. My neighbors kept texting and calling to see if I knew about a strange guy sleeping in my front yard. Then, the new irrigation zones in the backyard were supposed to be connected to the existing system in the front yard. They did not connect it to anything, so the new zones had no water going to them. Once they did finally come out to fix it, half the new sod they laid died. They were supposed to come out and redo it, but never did despite dozens of calls and texts from me. Also, when the new zones were finally connected, I had to figure out how to adjust every head myself because some were spraying directly into a fence, pointed the opposite way, over-spraying over the fence, etc. It was a nightmare! Finally, they were only supposed to lay sod in the half of the side yard that was torn up from where all the tractors were coming in and out during our pool construction. I guess the guy (the same one who barely worked 2 hours per day because he was too busy napping in random places) didn't listen to instructions because he tore up all the existing grass that was in good shape. But because they were only supposed to lay sod in half of the side yard, they did not fix the good grass he tore up! I tried so many times for many weeks to get them to follow up on their work, and it was always one excuse after another; and that's if I could even get a call back! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!

Parks Construction had built our house less than 5 years before the fire. We were devastated. We called James, and he worked with us to rebuild. We were back in our new house in about 4 months from the day they put up the first piece of framing !!! We were very pleased with the workmanship yet again. It was a pleasure to work with the Parks team. Nelson, Reid, Danielle and all the contractors were fantastic. Any issues that arose were quickly resolved. James Parks was so professional in his presentation to us as far as what he provides as a builder. He was upfront with pricing and construction. Danielle, our front lady who we love, was amazing and took great care of us. But truly, the Oscar goes to Reid T., our foreman, who was so patient and guided us through some severe design flaws via the architect (another Yelp for another day (Blue Line Design..NO.) Nobody anticipated these flaws based on the fact that these are professional architects (or are they?) but Reid caught them every time. He reassured us that the awkward wall upstairs could be remedied He was empathetic and corrected several cabinet issues for us. He was never pushy but such bold, albeit, minor suggestions that made the world of difference in our house. He took minor design flaws and rocked them into full blown made for TV interior design show specials. We are blessed to be living in such a beautiful house and thankful to Reid who was so genuine and purposeful with all our questions and always had a solution. We are not design magnets and his suggestions were so welcome and helpful. We loved his approach to the home building process as it seemed as if he were sincere in building it for his own family...a place that truly was a home. Parks is a great company. Mr Bass, owner of Cypress custom homes began an addition to my home in June 2025…read more in mid-September his employee, Steven Dudley told Mr Bass I had labeled Mr Bass a crook. Mr Bass's word, not mine. He sent me a termination letter and wrote he would not accept any phone calls, only e-mails. my home is located in The city of Tyler so I had The city Building Inspection inspect my house. the city failed it on 9 different levels prior to requesting a framing inspection. I have for months sent Text/emails to Mr Bass and he has not responded. I have retained an attorney and asked Tyler home Builders to review work and documents. I've been advised by both Mr Bass did not properly terminate the contract. I've requested building materials delivered within the week of termination be picked up for credit, no response. His personel did physical damage to my property, no response. I can not move forward as the old addition and the new addition are 1 3/4" off level on the upstairs. The slab is not level or square and a poor unacceptable repair was made. Many other deficiencies by city found and he won't respond. Thankfully my home is in the city as it's my understanding much of Cypress/Mr Bass's work is in the county and isn't inspected. I recently spoke to Mr Reynolds who experienced what I'm going through.
