With the amount that I owed being high, I said lets see if HR can beat my numbers. In short, they couldn't. The Fed was charging me more and HR wanted to charge me 200 to file on top of what I owed the FED. HR are more data entry than anything else. I would say the worker I interacted with didn't know a lot about the tax system. I even brought a statement from the church for all of my donations and the HR worker refused to submit it, saying we can't deduct that. But when I did my own taxes I was able to deduct the donations. On top of that she didn't ask anything on how to lower what I owed. I will not be back.
