Don't take your car here for repairs. I had a whirring noise…read morein my car that sounded like a bad wheel bearing. They told me it was the differential and the gearbox had to be replaced. The noise was still there after replacing the gearbox. Then they said they couldn't hear anything but then looked at it further and said it was the LH bearing which they replaced. After that the noise was still there. I then took my car to another mechanic who told me it was the RH bearing and fixed it straightaway. Not being able to fix my car is one thing, but insisting there's nothing wrong with it when there's clearly a problem is just frustrating. All they've done is wasted my time and money while showing no genuine interest in fixing my car.

I was…read morequoted $750 for repairs that cost me $202 to do myself, 10 days later and the car only been driven less than 20ks, he finds another fault, which cost me $250 for him to fix, he was making sure he made $$$ out of me. while i waited, not 1 roadworthy was passed. Up to you to decide if he is trustworthy or not, but i will never return ! The guy in the office is a scream though, we had a good chin wag.

Rip off mechanic, during the initial road worthy check set my wheels (rear left) to 150Nm (as he…read morestated over the phone conversation at 13-12-12 at 16:26) when its meant to be 110Nm (peaking at 135Nm for a falcon) (Note: if you overtightened it, it stretches the stud and breaks it off, imagine you're driving going over a bump an "bam" there goes your wheel)...not only that but he also advised me to park in jam factory, I am okay with that when its a secured car park. reality is that when I came around i found my car was unlocked on the street, let alone the ALARM WAS NOT ON. it was parked there for two days on corner Wilson street and Palfreyman streets, he advised me that it would be stored in a secured area let alone he told me i would be charged storage fees for it, it is okay when its in a private space but when its in public. its disgusting!!! the mechanic himself did not know the difference between what came out from factory and what was aftermarket ADR approved as i have spoken to numerous Vicroads representatives before installing accessories to it. All in all I can recommend to you is to steer clear from this joint as it is a massive rip off. i will double check with a proper licencee as in terms of the hubs being stretched and its balancing as now I feel not so safe passing the car for roadworthy with these hubs they damaged. Doesn't even deserve 1 star this mechanic. ACCC will be notified of this incident as there was photographic proof taken.
