Taylor Chapman is a predatory salesman who makes false claims to sell solar panels. He lied about virtually every aspect of the deal. The pricing, the tax rebate, and the estimated monthly cost. Please do not do sales with him as his business practices are illegal and in direct violation of the fair consumer protection act. I am currently pursuing termination with freedom forever, but will likely end up suing if we cannot find a resolution. read more

It has been over 2 1/2 year after Freedom Forever installing my solar and battery back up system and it's still not finished and working properly. I've been endlessly contacting Freedom Forever to do what they said they were going to do. I have even held back $8000 that you would think they would be out here to finish their job so they can collecting their money. (I'm a cash customer I would hate to see what they would do to somebody trying to finance) But no I contact them probably once or twice a month. They've given me promised dates that they will come out and have someone turn my panel around as I was told they would and they don't show. I also live in an area with power outages and that's why I chose to get the battery back up system, so I would still be able to have power so my house won't freeze when we have a power outage. So please save yourself some grief, and find another solar provider that cares. As of 1/8/2025 I am now receiving threatening phone calls that they will turn off my power. If I don't pay them for a job, they didn't complete. I have now contacted Big Dog Solar. What a great solar company I would highly recommend. I am paying them out-of-pocket to fix the solar that Freedom Forever did not do correctly. As you can see from the response below, they sound genuinely concerned to help. Now we're at 2 1/2 years. My battery back up is not feeding back to the grid and they've caused me. Tremendous amount of extra energy cost because my solar is not working correctly and they still have not done anything so what you read below is all false. I recently had solar panels installed by Freedom Forever Company, and I could not have been more pleased with the experience. The sales and installation team were all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They took the time to answer all of my questions and helped me choose the right system for my needs. They were also very responsive and had excellent follow-through. The installation was completed on time and without any problems. I was particularly impressed with the value that Bryce Steinburg with Freedom Forever offered. I compared quotes from several different companies, and his was the most competitive. They also offered a variety of financing options, but I selected to pay in full saving a significant amount and making the breakeven for me about 7 years. Overall, I highly recommend Bryce Steinburg to anyone considering installing solar panels. A company is only as good as the people who represent it. Others may have not had Bryce and his installation team so their experience would be different. Bryce sales approach and installation team are top-notch, and they offer the best value for the price in my experience. Specifically, I would like to highlight the following: Value: Bryce Steinburg offered the most competitive price for solar panels that I could find among six different companies. They also have a variety of financing options available or pay cash and save a ton. Responsive: The sales and installation team were very responsive to all of my questions and requests. We were initially happy with Freedom Forever as our install process actually went well and was quick. However, about 4 weeks later our inverter broke and the only reason I found out about it was because I noticed it producing zero power on the Solar Edge App. I called FF and was informed their "monitoring team" caught it days prior even though I never received a call from them to tell me of the major issue?? It took 44 days to receive a new inverter and 4 very serious and frustrated phone calls all on my part. We have not once received a phone call from FF during any part of this ordeal. During my calls to FF I received conflicting information between the reps, was told I'd get a call back personally from one rep (so I didn't have to call them) and never did and was also told things were filled out on my behalf, and then found out by another rep that they were never done. Here are the misrepresentations from our sales rep (who is from Solar Pros I believe): "Freedom Forever monitors your power usage to spot any issues and will contact you to fix any issues as soon as possible". That failed to be true as stated above. "Freedom Forever will pay any power bills you get from Idaho Power if your system goes down or is under-producing" - Nope, a complete fabrication on the part of the salesperson. The customer has to pay the power company and the finance company whenever their system is down. FF is very adamant that they never reimburse customers for power bills. "You will get a $6400 tax credit" - It is actually a tax deduction. This means that if your taxable income is already low you won't see much or any of it. "You will receive a free doorbell camera, smart thermostat, as well as window and door alarms with three free years of monitoring" - The salesperson "opted us out" of this as he thought we said we didn't want it which was not our conversation. The salesperson has ghosted us since the initial sale and won't respond to our phone calls nor has the company responded to an email complaint sent about their rep. Unfortunately, this company over-promises and under-delivers. Their customer communication and follow through is very poor. The salespeople, some of the installers, and finance company are not a direct part of FF, so you are dealing with four different companies at once. You don't want to be tied down with this for years. Please look around at reviews before you decide which solar company to go with. Equally as important: record your conversation with your sales rep and check into any promises made by the sales rep before you say yes. read more

Our experience was very similar to Lynn V. Except I would add the "project manager" was located in Missouri. The install took 3 months from start to finish. Our original contact (and signup) with the salesperson was 8 months before that. Our once beautiful yard was completely torn up. The drivers of the heavy equipment trucks did nothing yo protect our front lawn. A halfhearted attempt to fill ruts was made, bot nothing to the concrete edges of our driveway, which was crumbled. The worst was our backyard where panels were installed. I'll include pictures- but they left piles of dirt, rocks, concrete around ditches not filled it. If you saw it, you'd be appalled. Numerous irrigation pipes were broken as well as pipes to our pool, leaving expensive repairs we have had to pay. In the end we did get our solar up and running and we are grateful for that. Terrible customer service and bad business practices. Last July I signed a contract with Taylor Chapman (door salesman) for Freedom Forever Solar Pros in Boise. The installation went smoothly, however, the cost included $4000 for tree work to prevent shade on the panels. I met Taylor's tree person, but did not use him. (He did tell me that $4000 was way too much for tree trimming.) We had two arborists check our trees and recommend removal of 3 out of 4. I paid $3000 and was told by email from Taylor that I should receive the $4000 refund. Meanwhile our full FF loan was given to Mosaic before a refund. Since last summer I have called and emailed regularly for the loan to be reduced by $4000 or send me the refund. Too late, they say. Now I want the $4000 to be used to reduce the loan. I have emails and notes from these contacts that have had no positive results. Get your own loan, pay cash or do NOT purchase FF or any solar panels. Very costly. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been living The Freedom Forever nightmare for 3 months. I am all in on the solar for my home bandwagon, but you DONOT want to use this particular company to provide this technology. They are divided into several subcontractors, NONE OF WHICH communicate with the other. Electrician installed their portion ina manner, that made MY WHOLE PANEl, out of compliance, and therefore, my house was then not compliant with code. complete redo was required. Panel installation took 3 times. That means some kids are on my roof, 3 separate occasions, attempting to get their portion correct. They put panels on my roof, then come back 10 days later and remove them them. Then come back 8 days later and reinstall. Scheduling department does not work with the contractors. This means that once we schedule, the contractors don't show up, and they blame the scheduler. If you enjoy finger pointing, you are going TO LOVE this out fit. Everyone, blames everyone else. I has been a complete crap festival. 3 months in and I can't get a thumbs up inspection, which means, Idaho Power won't even consider coming out to put this system into play.
