This is not something to be done with out a Doctors order and definitely not to someone who just had a rod and screws put into their leg. Thursday pass by and still no shower. They are not provide all the medication when ask, Mother states she mash the button for service they take forever to come see what her issues which my mother is legal blind we ask to assist with feeding her which they do BUT MOTHER STATED THE FORCE THE FOOD IN HER MOUTH. We have provided her meals because the food looks like dog sh$$. Most of the staff has good attitude but not providing the service. Room is not sanitated the bathroom toilet had mold for days until they decided to clean it. Experience one nurse came in to give Mom her shot only had one alcohol wipe when ask why she only has one, her words was I thought I brought two but fail to return to get another wipe blood and the stomach area with the same alcohol wipe unacceptable. I pray Mother come home well and not sick due to lack of attention. Me and my sister been here for two week never had words with a doctor requested a call from a doctor never receive. Maybe they will realize they to have a mother or grandmother that may need the same service. Not anyone is bad there were a couple of nurses and CNA that care and not just there for a paycheck.

Amedisys Compassionate Care of The Villages, FL, pitch a 5-star rating, however, they are less than…read moretransparent and less deserving. In our initial in-person meet interview, we told them our mother helped to open The Villages Hospice House and that if the time came, she would like to pass there. Compassionate Care rep smiled, but never mentioned they aren't affiliated nor that they don't have their own hospice house, nor that they aren't affiliated with any hospice house at all. Deceitful. When our mother suffered an early morning major stroke while an at-home patient of theirs and was non-responsive, they said she didn't qualify for hospice house given her vitals and that we should hire 24/7care. They helped to clean her and provided morphine that morning, however, they provided no swabs for us to administer morphine, no incontinence pads, or any supplies necessary for her condition. Astounded, I called the hospice house in The Villages late that night to see if they had a bed, at which time I was told Compassionate Care had no affiliation and our mother could not be a patient while under Compassionate Care. We fired Compassionate Care the following morning, at which point, they insisted they bring a hospital bed (we said, "no") and brought supplies at 4pm, 2 hours before her transfer to The Villages Hospice house - as if to make sure they could bill that day. They are a for-profit company and it was a blaring badge of utter disgust at a time we needed true compassion and care. [FYI, The Villages (Cornerstone) Hospice on Morse Blvd was extraordinary in their help to execute paperwork, transport, admit and care for our mother where she passed a few days later. They also offer in-house care. Had we known, we would've hired them to begin with.]

They are the best and should anyone need to have Hospice come into your home for end of life care they have my complete thumbs up. They helped me tremendously as the caregiver, even giving me a 3 day respite care of Tom in their facility. I am sure this has been used by many before but they signed Tom up one hour after calling and I had the 3 day respite care so I could visit my daughter for a late Christmas and they had it all set up with 24 hours of our accepting them and they us. This was amazing to me and I am so grateful for this awesome facility and all workers there, God bless each one of you!

We stayed the whole time hardly ever leaving my brother's side. They made sure I was just as comfortable and had everything I needed. This experience was the absolute hardest experience I have endured in my life and I would have NEVER gotten through it with them, explaining everything and quality of caring for my brother in his final days. I recommend them to everyone I talk to. Thank you Cornerstone for making the end of life a little easier for them and their loved ones. Oh! Every morning, there were fresh cookies and coffee... the whole experience and staff were phenomenal.

Cleaning of the room is poor. Assistance with bathing is sporadic. My wife and sister-in-law do the preponderance of the cleaning and bathing but they can't be there all of the time. Assistance only comes with persistent requests and demonstrations that the cleaning or bathing has not been done. Over and over we would be told that the room was cleaned when we could clearly see the same dirt on the carpet, counters, and other surfaces. The room smelled. Mom smelled. Right after we were told she had been bathed. We placed our mother with them based on 1) the pleasant interactions 2) the location is perfect for us and our family to visit often 3) there is a facility next door (Lady Lake Specialty Care) associated with Springs of Lady Lake where we were told mom would be able to transition when she needed a higher level of care. We are now at the point where mom has gone to the hospital and is now in rehab. Her time in rehab is coming to an end. Mom now needs that higher level of care. The Springs refuses to allow her back, meanwhile the facility next door (where we were promised she would transition) refuses her. No reasons given. No phone calls returned. The Springs is pressuring us, during the holidays, to remove her belongings but without a solution in place. They will not allow her to return while we search for a permanent solution. They now refuse to speak to us. Lady Lake Specialty Care refuses to speak to us. Do not place your loved ones or their care in the hands of either of these facilities. The pleasant interactions are a facade that disappears as soon as a problem arises. Duplicitous and hypocritical are the most apt descriptions.
