We booked a room for 2 hours and then another friend booked the room for the next 2 hours. The librarian came in - Marry, and told us she CANCELED our second reservation, once we checked in for the second reservation, and told us we had to leave, because another group had the room... We were not being disruptive and were simply studying when she interrupted and was so RUDE. She really must have been having a bad day and took it out on three 20-something-year-olds. Extremely rude and unkind. Do not go here waste of your time and not even a great space! AND you have to bring your own HDMI cord... weirdd

The children's librarians are extremely helpful and very welcoming. Their sitting area for children is furnished with many couches, chairs and tables, conducive to reading silently or aloud. The physical plant itself is rather small and could easily be expanded with all the real estate there. The staff seemed friendly. And instructed me to go downstairs because I was attending a concert/presentation of musical composers. The presentation was excellent but the library seriously lacked modern technology. And as a result the presenter told us of the mechanical problems in his introduction. But it all worked out for the best possible means. In a town as affluent as Colts neck, one would think that a public facility would be on top of their "game". Not the case.

The librarians seem to have a sincere passion for books and a wide knowledge of what appeals to each visitor. Every time I wander in without ideas on what I need, arise librarian greets me, listens to my comments and sagely offers a book or two that I end up adoring. These librarians know books and almost do a "mentalist" thing on you, reading your mind, revealing your preferences and current desires and directing you accordingly. Even the non-reader will be delighted by their suggestions and return for more!

So the next day we decided to check it out. This place blew us away. The modern architecture is stunning with different levels, and there is even a fireplace. There is also a room dedicated just for magazines with the most current issues. If you like movies the library has an impressive selection of DVDs. Even their restrooms have fancy Dyson faucets. There is a cafe as well. One of the upper levels offers a nice outdoor patio balcony. Good to see the tax dollars going back to the community. No matter how old you are, go get yourself a library card. There is a parking garage nearby. It's a great way to spend the day reading a book or two.

The clean aesthetics and openness give you a sense of calm and a desire to be there, whether for studying or taking classes. They have book clubs and instructional classes ranging from hands-on cooking to needlework. They offer to take U.S. passport photos. They have so much to offer besides wonderful books. This lending library sources tools (yes, you read this correctly), museum passes, videos, eBooks, eAudio, and other resources beyond just books. You can even exchange clippings for plants. I was here to donate some books. First they did not accept…read moreas they had been overflowed of donations, then I showed them books, then they accepted after evaluation. English literature they have stopped accepting books donation, and foreign language literatures, they would have to check, but most likely they won't accept. Be sure the foreign language books are educational and in mint condition. Inside the library was smaller than I thought, but it was cozy in each floor. Although the library is overall very quiet, I couldn't find an empty study room, during Summer vacation, and in the morning! Glad to see our younger generations still read and study!! Not only no study room available, but all seatings are occupied. Mix feeling ... I wonder how's it like during weekends. I decided to walk around before I left the library. There was an undone puzzles spread on the public table. Very cute and welcoming. The staffs are friendly and attentive.
