After I repeatedly asked for an apt with Dr. Brett, she refused because she believed Dr. Carsen was the better doctor for my needs, in the end she insisted on booking me in for a free 10 min visit with Dr Carsen, then I could choose if I wanted to continue with Dr Carsen or see Dr. Brett. Strange start maybe I should have clued in at this point.
Dr Carsen is an elderly, kind man, who seems knowledgeable, he never offered to treat me, never even looked at my back or neck, never touched me, he never offered me the opportunity to choose to continue with him or to see Dr. Brett, than after about an hour, he walked me to the receptionist desk told the receptionist and his wife nice things about me and said goodbye. The receptionist then told me I needed to pay $85 (for my free 10 min trial). Yep, he never touched me, no treatment, no assessments, he literally did nothing but talk. I was also told my next visit would need to be another initial consultation for $85! Seriously? When I questioned this billing, Dr Carsen's wife came out and immediately defended the charge and told me, "well, you where in there for an hour!!" She became very defensive border line rude, and told me the first 10 minutes where free, but it would have been up to me to stop the appointment after 10 minutes. Honestly, It was all a bit strange, and I felt completely duped or taken for a ride. I just wanted Dr. Brett to adjust my neck appropriately. I never did get to see Dr. Brett nor was I even offered the opportunity to book in with him.
I left, it was an awful experience. To Dr. Carsen's credit, he did ring me later that same evening to admit that it was a mistake that I was charged, and let me know they would be putting a check in the mail to refund me my money. I have no idea if Dr. Carsen or Dr. Brett are good chiropractors because I didn't get any treatment in the end. I did, however, wasted 2 hours of my day, added a whole lot of unnecessary drama, was treated poorly, and my neck is still just as sore as it was when I walked in their door. The whole experience was a "pain in the neck" LoL (pun intended.)
