This is a fake business. There are over 500 businesses located in this office. They are tied to a guy named Frank Muriithi. He "owns" Lions Moving. His wife called me and refused to give me my money back after a guy called me to move our entire house. We were promised 3 workers qualified to move a piano! He got the job on Craigslist the night prior from Frank who was in an Ugandan nightclub. FAKE! DO NOT USE! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY! THEY PREY ON PEOPLE! This company is a scam. Originally quoted me $2500 for my move when I told them I would shop around, they magically were able to get the price lower to $1635. On my scheduled move date they were supposed to arrive at 9:00 AM. I called them about six days before my move to move my date up and they did on the day of my move. They were supposed to arrive at 9 o'clock. They never showed not one time that day. Did they answer the phone for me? They called me around 11 o'clock to tell me they double booked and if they could come the following day or later on around two that day I said 2 o'clock is fine. Around 130 I started calling they never answered. I called them on the original day about 30 times around 330. They called and asked how flexible I was because the move before me was taking a little bit longer. I told them that I wanted to cancel the services and they told me that I am outside of a 24 hour window to cancel the services. I told them I kept my end of the contractual agreement. They couldn't keep their end by showing up to perform the service that I was paying for, the lady then told me she would contact their finance department to see what they could do. She never called me back and the moving company never showed so basically she told me they couldn't cancel. She told me I couldn't get my money back and she said that she would call me back, they canceled my move. They never called and they never showed and they never gave me my money back. Thank God I used a card and my bank is going to investigate. Lastly, I thought I downloaded the contract but I can't find it when I went back to the email that they sent the contract in, I can no longer pull the contract to read it. CHARGES YOU A DEPOSIT FEE ON A DATE THEY COULDNT EVEN ASSURE ME OF. sure they talk the talk on the phone, reassuring me they will deliver a qualified team of movers to you. had one guy tell me he couldn't do it 1 day before a huge move because 'dispatch aint paid me yet" then hung up. his name was michael. then they get me another place based out of nyc (5hrs fron my apartment) which made NO SENSE. they turned out to tell me ok theyd be there at 9am. perfect. then it was 11am because the truck had issues then 2pm. i had to be moved by 12pm!!! needless to say after much dicking around, i cancelled the lady cussed me out and hung up. real "professional" then they tried to call me 5x harassing me i had to block their calls. DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Stay FAR FAR AWAY!! I paid a $755 dollar deposit and was linked with a 'moving company' - Michael Harris and his company Scratch Free Movers AKA Scratch Fire Movers who price gouged me out of an additional $1740!! Bottom line up front, do not engage this company. If I could give them 0 stars I would. My sisters and I needed to move our mother from an apartment to an assisted living facility with short notice. My older sister began a search for moving companies and Moving Reservations Corp popped up. She went through the process with them in that they were to engage a local moving company to move our mother. When the contract was sent to her it required payment via wire transfer or other electronic cash payment. Credit cards were not accepted at all. This should have been the first red flag. The DEPOSIT was $593 with the balance of $770.90 due later. $1300+ to move a one bedroom apartment a few miles seemed high but we were short on time and I sent the deposit. When the moving day arrived, my sister was contacted by some clown that said he couldn't rent a truck because his credit card was refused and he couldn't reach his boss. Clearly not a professional moving company. My sister called a local company and they were able to move my mother for less than the deposit on the day she called. We were very fortunate in that respect. You would think that my sister would be able to get our deposit back given that Moving Reservations Corp didn't actually fulfill their contract by providing professional movers at the date and time contracted. You'd be wrong. She has written them requesting the refund of the deposit. She has filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Wyoming state Attorney Generals Office. They have sent letters to Moving Reservations Corp but have gotten no reply and apparently can't do more. I don't think we will ever see the $593 dollars that we paid them for the deposit but I hope that this review prevents others from making the same mistake. read more

I give this company a big fat ZERO! They push you to sign a contract right away, giving you a $500 credit. The guy you talk to is very convincing and they do actually have some good reviews on Google, they have to be fake. They claim to be a contractor who finds movers that accommodate your needs. Sure! They talk a big talk. What they don't tell you is that in the fine print of their 8 page contract, there is not much there that they promise, and they also promise you a flat fee. Once they go over your inventory over the phone, they quote you a price. The man swears there is no additional fee, no extra costs, no mileage, fuel, etc. That's a fat lie! They promised me a local mover. I lived in Southern Illinois. They sent Shields Movers & Staffers which is based in Virginia but sent men from Pennsylvania! They promised two trucks, only 1 came. They promised at least 4 men, I did get that, until the last move. They promised it would all be moved in one day. It was a 4 1/2 hour drive to my new home. It took two loads and two days. The movers damaged and broke several items, tore up the linoleum floor in the house I was moving out of, broke light bulbs, a glass lamp shade, and scratch marks on several pieces. The second load one of the workers and main boss got in an argument and the worker took off walking away from the job. When the movers got to my new home to unload, there were only 3 of them. I was informed that the one that left had been let go because he wouldn't stay off his phone. So, there were only 3 to unload, not 4 as planned. They informed me they had worked over the required amount of hours and it was an extra $250 per hour! I was quoted a flat fee, no additional charges! This whole move was a cluster and I would not recommend Moving Reservations Corp or Shields Movers & Staffers based out of Virginia to anyone! read more
