So I thought I would try UPS. I found the gentleman at the counter to be very knowledgeable about what I would need. The price point was actually less expensive than i thought it would be. The good news is that the package made there in a reasonable amount of time. No problems no issues. The service requested was what i needed. I don't send a lot of packages but in the future i will use UPS.

Husband's family has owned property in Muskoka for 100 years, with a boathouse, two cottages, wood…read moreshed, laundry shed and bunkie all added over time. Couple this with a Depression-era "keep everything" mentality, and the place had become stuffed to the gills with things like lumpy, over-sized daybeds no one's used in 50 years and driftwood "art" so ancient it was more like structured dust. This summer we decided it was time to get rid of the junk. I called up Mid Ontario disposal and found out that for CA$275 they'd deliver any size roll-off bin from 10 to 50 yards capacity, and we could keep it a week (CA$20 extra/day after that). Junk removal would be CA$110 per ton with a 12% fuel surcharge. Considering the town dump will take your trash for CA$110/ton but you have to transport it all on your own, we decided Mid Ontario was worth it. After informing them about our ridiculously steep driveway and being assured it was no problem, we scheduled a delivery for the following day. We were told we'd be the first of the day and to expect the driver between 8 and 8:30 am. Well, the driver didn't arrive until 11:30 (when I called Mid Ontario to ask why the "first delivery of the day" wasn't there by 9:45, they acted like they had never promised us that time slot, saying they only had us down for an "am delivery".) And when he did show up he took one look at the driveway and declared there was no way he was getting the 40 yard bin down it. Fortunately there's an overgrown parking apron at the top of the drive where previous generations parked Model Ts that'd never get down the incline, so we were able to place the bin there...nevermind it meant hauling nearly one ton of crap up that 35° driveway over the next seven days. Still, despite the two hiccups, the folks at Mid Ontario were readily available and responsive, as well as professional and courteous. Not to mention that the convenience of having our own giant dumpster on site meant clearing out a ton of valuable storage and living space at our beloved family retreat for under CA$500. That's priceless.

I was told the Bin would arrive the next morning and it showed up close to the end of the day. I had paid worker waiting to move the trash to the bin. I was told the bin rental is for 6 nights, 7 days...on the 7th day the same rude man called me asking if I wanted to keep the bin longer...I said no! He then started yelling at me that I should have called him the day prior (which btw was a holiday) to let him know I wasn't extending my rental. I had to pay upfront for the weeks rental plus 1 ton of garbage. I told him that if he wanted to me to call the day before he should have stated so and I would have. My expectation was that he would show up in 7 days to collect the bin. He continue to yell at me and threatened to charge an extra day rental. he hung up on me and called back a couple of times..I had to eventually block his number. He had his money, his bin...business was over but he was mad I didn't give him advance notice I wasn't taking the bin longer than the advance agreed upon week that I rented it for. Beyond that...I have rented and contracted waste disposal before...This one was either lieing about the amount of trash weight I put in or is way more expensive than many others...DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY..my advice!
