SO CLOSE to 5 stars! My favorite thing about this restaurant was the interior. I sat in their covered upper-level outdoor area. It was really cute and comfortable. Also, I went downstairs to see their indoor seating and I absolutely loved the vibe. The decor and lighting made it feel intimate, classy, and cozy at the same time. I loved it! The food was decent but pretty expensive for what you get. However, I didn't deduct stars due to price because anywhere you go in Aspen is going to be overpriced. I ordered the Crepe Suzette and it was WAY too alcoholic. It tasted like they didn't cook down the Grand Marnier enough. It legitimately tasted like I was drinking a shot. Not fun. Lastly, it took them a while to take my order after I was seated. Someone came over to clean my table WHILE I was seated and didn't even acknowledge me. Once the waiter finally came over to me he was super nice and respectful, but I wish I was acknowledged sooner than after sitting there for 10 minutes feeling basically invisible. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner in Aspen. There are some small issues I hope that they figure out. Once they do that, this place will definitely be worth 5 stars. read more

Ate here when I was in town for the Food & Wine classic, wound up on one of the outside makeshift tables that everyone has added for COVID. A+ on this structure and making it not feel like an afterthought. Service was good and as one would expect at this price point. Food was also to be expected for the cost, good well executed french classics, good portion size, and reasonable value given that you are in Aspen. I'd eat here again for sure, although probably when it is a bit colder so I can lean more into the comfort food side of the menu. read more

The French onion soup was warm but not hot. The server did not tell us there were any specials until after we ordered. I guess she forgot, then she never apologized or really cared that she forgot. They served us an appetizer but no plates to eat off of.....we had to ask for some plates and it took forever to get them. My wife ordered wine and we had to ask for it 3 additional times before it showed up. It showed up after we were done with appetizers. The portions were small and the prices were high. You could probably find a better place for dinner. Oh yeah, and the place is really small so the tables are very close together so don't expect to have a private conversation. read more

Best date night and best vibe. With the winter dinner fixed menu ($150) you get one chef appetizer, one appetizer of your choice, one entree, and a dessert. Appetizers: 1) Moules frittes - mussels w white white cream sauce & french fries. 5/5 - The sauce is exceptional and complimented the mussels. 2) Terrine de foie gras- foie gras w brioche and compote 5/5 - Simply delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor. The compote was a really nice touch to balance out the richness. We ordered a third appetizer a la carte 3) Escargot - escargot w garlic butter & tomato sauce 4/5. I prefer the garlic parsley butter sauce for escargot. Entree: 1) Cheese fondue- melted cheese w/ side of bread and we added freshly shaved black truffles(mp), assorted charcuterie(+$15), and roasted rosemary potatoes(+$11). 4/5 You can only eat so much cheese fondue. The shaved truffles were amazing in the fondue and went so well dipped w the bread. Charcuterie with cheese was too salty and the potatoes were plain. Wouldn't order add ons next time. p.s. cheese fondue is minimum 2 person order Dessert: 1) Midnight in Paris crepe: crepe w vanilla creme brûlée custard & crispy caramel. 5/5 Heavenly! Went for Father's Day late lunch after a casual day hiking and shopping around Aspen. Walked in without a reservation and got seated outside... definitely a cute little area but we were sat so close to other tables it was a little uncomfortable. The staff, as other reviews have indicated, were slightly rude and inattentive. Understandable, yes, but I was definitely expecting more from such restaurant. Perhaps the experience would've been different had we been sat inside the restaurant. Otherwise, the food was okay. We ordered the gnocchi (8/10), mussels (7/10), crepe (6/10), and pesto mozzarella flatbread (6/10). Heard the french onion soup is good, so I definitely want to give that a try next time. read more

Came here during the week of Christmas and they were completely booked for dinner for the whole week. That really says something. Fortunately, their lunch time was on a first-come-first-serve basis so my friend and I were ready at 11:30 am. Good thing too because the restaurant became packed a few minutes later. The staff was very welcoming and came by frequently. Fantastic service. The decor inside was cozy and a little dim which set up a romantic mood. They even light up real candles at your table although I'm surprised no one accidentally knocks them down and create a daily fire. Ordered the escargot in tomato bisque that came with two very crispy and buttery slices of toast. The escargot itself wasn't anything special. Steamed so that it was soft and easy to chew. All the seasoning and flavor were in the soup. Very rich, but also tangy and flavorful. It was actually overwhelming in a good way. It was better than the crepes honestly. Next was the beef crepe with the fancy name. They didn't skimp on the beef at all. Felt like I got more beef in that crepe than in a burger. However, something about it was very heavy and I asked to put half in a to-go container. (It seems like this business doesn't get many to-go requests because they didn't have a plastic bag for my leftovers after packaging.) For dessert, I ordered their famous crepe with the crazy name made of chocolate, strawberries, banana and sauce. Lots of fruit that it was practically spilling out of the crepe. Which is a nice change because a lot of crepes I've had give you like 1 strawberry and 3 slices of banana. Only downside was that the food took forever. About 2 hours so definitely plan ahead. I mean... really? I get it we are in Aspen and it's going to be pricey but I expect to at least be full after I eat and drop over $100. I came out leaving barely satisfied. I love French cuisine and when done right it is arguably the best food out there. So maybe I was overhyped because this place seemed to have great reviews but I was rather disappointed. Although the quality of the food here was decent, the portions were horrendous. I ordered a couple of drinks, steak tartare, mussels, Truffle Gnocchi-flette, and desert. Left wanting to grab a snack somewhere else. None of the food items stood out to me for their price point. The only redeeming thing that stood out about this place to me was their desert. Took a drive to Aspen for the day. After some light shopping, we decided to grab a bite to eat. The escargot and fondue is what really attracted us to this place. We ordered the escargot to start. It was served in a tomato sauce and was very good. Definitely a different twist on how you would normally enjoy escargot, but good nonetheless. Next, we ordered the cheese fondue which was also very good. It's served with toasted bread, but you can add cauliflower & broccoli or charcuterie. I'm not entirely sure that the fondue was worth $35/person, so I would suggest getting something else. I would come here again if I were back in Aspen, but I would definitely order something else. At first I wasn't too sure about this place but it was recommended. Location wise it's unassuming, but once you got there you had to look around because the decor is intriguing. When we went in at first I was under the impression that we could not dine there because of something the host said, however we decided to stay because it was recommended. The service provided by our sever was absolutely great, she was knowledgeable and made recommendations. Every single items ordered was delicious. Our experience was great and much attention was given. Our table was always clean and our water bottles was always replaced/replenished . I can leave a zero star if I could. we were seated all the way in the corner. it was very very very crowded and we were super uncomfortable seating next to a big group. the waitress can tell we were not happy but they do not feel the need to provide us with the best service. I would avoid this place at all costs. the food was decent but for the service it was pricey.
