Yes, my cousin brought cookies, hats and a candle from my mom and sister, and there was singing after yoga. Amy was in charge of our small group and made it a fantastic experience. She took photos of us too and made sure we had the best shots (and accommodated our suggestions). Doing yoga and then staring up into the blue sky surrounded by perfectly colored trees, oh so idyllic. Please, please do this if you were thinking about it. It's well worth your time and money.

A BUSINESS is NOT a LOCATION ! You can not fish inside a building. You will not have room to cast your line ! A PLACE to FISH is like a certain spot on the river, or a small lake or a creek. It is much better to fish in those types of locations than inside a fly and tackle shop or a barbecue restaurant. Yes those are great places to go, to find fishing equipment, to hire a fishing guild or to eat some awesome barbecue. But, alas it is very poor fishing in those stores.

My guide was Blake Okelly, and this was the best fishing trip of my life. Also about half the price of other guides I called. Blake taught me how to fly fish and despite it being one of the hardest stream conditions to fish that day (which he had warned me about and suggested we could go another day prior to my confirmation), we were the only anglers pulling fish out of the stream out of about 9 people in the area. The people around me probably thought I was a fishing pro or something but it was actually my first time fly fishing. Blake was also the best tour guide ever and gave me the history of the little mountain towns. This was the most novel and unforgettable experience ever for my first trip to North Carolina. Blake exemplified what a perfect guide should be. I trusted him completely and learned things I will never forget. I might actually try to hire him at some point because he is just a special person. I got to speak with Doug also who owns the business and he was extremely easy to talk to and to get everything set up. All you will need is a fishing license. Will never forget this incredible experience!! I rarely write reviews on google but wanted to sit down and give these hard working guys the review they deserve.

We ate lunch at the nearby Twisted Laurel, which was excellent. Things to know: Parking is not free. There are a couple of metered spaces nearby and there's a pay to park lot across the street. There are no bathrooms or changing rooms close by (that I could see). On their website it says there is a public bathroom, but I couldn't find it. There isn't a lot of shade except under the trees and on the amphitheater stage. These are really too far away to keep a good eye on a small child. Bring your sunscreen! There are no benches nearby to sit on, but there are concrete blocks so bring a towel for parents to sit on. It's a public fountain, so we were glad to have our water shoes. The fountain is advertised to have a lot of features and lights, but we didn't see any of that while we were there. The water shoots up out of the ground and doesn't change. That's enough for my preK kid, but might get boring for older ones. We brought some water toys and those were a big hit. While we were there a summer camp or daycare came through with 50 kids who were well-behaved, but they took over the amphitheater area and most of the fountain. We ended up leaving because it was just too crowded.

It was clean and the chairs were comfy, although the armrests do get hot in the sun so you can't always rest your arms on them. It certainly wasn't a dealbreaker.
