I really liked some of the t shirts particularly the Botteva (a brand with which I am unfamiliar) shirt in the window featuring a dark reddish apple and the work "temptation", but unfortunately $69 is more than I wanted to spend on a shirt today. The shop has an interesting set up too, rather than having the typical cash register counter, they have an Italian leather lounge at the entrance of the shop with a computer sitting on leather- lined chest. I probably shouldn't have bought the bag, but I like it.

I wanted something smart that could be dressed down later after the event. The fellow brought out several jackets and we matched several shirts that were on sale. He was so helpful that I bought the items and wore them that night. Now would you believe I was only on the left side of the shop. On the right side was ladies wear. I love a clothing place that the salesmen are really interested in helping you. I also value when they know their clothing and talk about the sizes of shirts, trousers, jackets both in metric and imperial measurements.

The clothes are also seemingly well made, with an emphasis on functional design. However, none of this takes away from how DAMN EXPENSIVE THEY ARE - $200 for a sundress? Come on, Marc; let's play fair. Despite what I consider to be highway robbery, Marcs is packed with young professionals getting their late-night shopping on when I visit one Thursday night. Youthful people with a high disposable income are most certainly the target market in here. Accordingly, those of us who aren't dressed in corporate gear are not even given a look in by the perfectly-groomed sales people. I think if you wore their entire range you would be accused of being too conservative, but a few pieces can add class to your wardrobe. They do colour blocking well and it is huge this season, and their stripes and sporadic patterns always work. They have a 50's inspired dress and for the less adventurous some conservative, ladylike dresses for the office function. Either way you can always do with some Marcs in your cupboard.

So I decided to go with a bespoke suit for my wedding day. Whilst making my first appointment over the phone, I described the fabric colour I was interested in and Matt knew exactly what I wanted. During my initial visits, Matt and his team advised me what would work best with the ideas I proposed. At the end of the day, I am not a fashion designer and benefited from their learned suggestions. Whilst my suit was being constructed, I decided to order a waist coat and shirt. The shirt was a no-brainer as the cost of a decent shirt off the rack is quite comparable to one custom made by Matt and his team. I required numerous fittings as I ordered a bespoke suit, shirt and waist coat. I initially thought the number of fittings was excessive but I am not a tailor or well versed in what is required to get a suit to be a perfect fit. As the time was getting close to my wedding, I reminded these guys of the urgency of the situation and they delivered what I required. They really don't mind being reminded of the urgency of a delivery date and will get things done. Matt and his team of tailors have produced a truly amazing outfit for me. They honestly exceeded my expectations. I look a gazzilion dollars in it and was amazed people were literally stopping in the street to comment on it as I posed for a photo outside. I would honestly recommend these guys. Matt and his team are competent, meticulous tailors, who are all very experienced in designing, and constructing an outfit that will be the best for your body shape and garment purpose. They are absolute perfectionists and will keep going with fittings and appointments until they are completely happy with the finished product. I can see how this can be frustrating to some, but if it's perfection you want then that's what you'll get. If you are considering getting anything from these guys, my advice is to be patient with the fittings and you will be rewarded with an impeccable finished product. Don't think for a second that you can get the same sort of quality that these guys produce off a rack or out of some sweatshop in Asia. Matt and his team are the real deal.

I was surprised to see it at the airport but out of curiosity walked in and suddenly got super excited. Suddenly I wanted to buy the whole store and than change my airport ticket to Hawaii so I could spend a week showing off my new summer ensembles. The prices were reasonable with a detailed summer dress costing around $120. I was surprised by how much I liked this store and how it excited me for a summer holiday..
