I bought a roast beef sandwich today to go. The bread was stale and almost impossible to chew. The roast beef was too well done and there wasn't much of it. Awesome breakfast croissant with ham, eggs and cheese. My husband picked it up and brought it to our hotel in Snowmass and it was still crispy and warm. I can't imagine how good it would be if I ate it fresh there! read more

Wish I could say more positive but the "French" pastry is 100% Costco brand at 500% markup and it's mostly Mexican cuisine now so Do t expect to be able to get French onion soup most days because more often than not jts unavailable. The chicken tortilla is pretty good though! read more

Very disappointed. Unlike what the sign that says "keeping the place clean", right next to the glass case where they keep the breads and danish, the person who was working on Saturday(9/10/22) was not using any gloves and touching the bread/orders by her hands. She was the only one who was ringing the customers also, so totally unsanitary. It is so hard to find good workers now days. When we asked to wear a glove, she gave us a disgusted face. She needs to go. We hate to see her damaging such a great bakery. We were not the only one who noticed what she was doing. read more

It is a small cute cafe in the unexpected area. Only one lady is getting order, making coffee, delivering coffee and pastry, so it will take time. Cappuccino is good. They have many kinds of pastry. Some are too dried and too crunchy. The eating area is small but at home atmosphere. read more

This place is the real deal. As good as any patisserie we visited in Paris last year. We stopped for breakfast, and I opted for a chocolate croissant and a quiche Lorraine. From the moment I picked up my croissant and felt the tender crunch, I knew I was in for a treat. The quiche was so light and fluffy, it seemed to be made almost of more air than egg - in a good way! The texture was dreamy, and the flavors were perfect. My only regret is that I live at least four hours from here! I will come back anytime I'm in aspen, and this place is almost good enough to influence vacation planning. read more

Ordered a sandwich called "cheve panini" the first ingredient listed,naturally, cheve. The fourth, prosciutto. I get my sandwich and it is a half inch thick of prosciutto cut super thick. The reviews are right on he almond croissant is very good. My son loved the apple tart.coffee was decent, threw them for a loop when asked for a cafe breve or cortado but they asked questions and gave me a decent espresso drink. All the pastries look wonderful. read more

Given the reviews, I expected more. I had an omelet, which was actually a frittata. It wasn't bad, but was over cooked to the point that it was brown and dry. Had to put a bunch of hot sauce on it to get some flavor. Only time I've been here, so not sure about the rest of the menu or lunch. I also had a cinnamon roll, which was awesome. Thinking it makes more sense to stick with the baked goods. They all looked delicious. Got an almond croissant to go. Will keep y'all posted on that one. read more

Lunch was disappointing. The tacos had good fish in them but the cabbage slaw on top was filled with too much mayonnaise! The turkey sandwich had little turkey and was on a rather dry roll. As a bakery, this place is stellar, spectacular, impeccible, and infalliable. As a cafe, it's good. The french onion soup was interesting, but too salty, the Le Poulet (chicken) panini was a little lacking in flavor (order extra pesto to dip it in and it's suddenly really yummy). However, I came to it looking for a bakery, and found an amazing assortment of baked yummies. Servers were friendly and generous. Such a refreshing place. read more

Hands down the best almond croissant my husband and I have ever eaten anywhere in 40 years of croissant sampling. Light, flaky, not too sweet, incredible favor, and twelve hours later we regret not purchasing spare croissants to take home (or eat in the car on the way home). We also enjoyed the chocolate croissant (not too sweet, excellent chocolate flavor) and the chorizo and cheddar quiche was so light and fluffy it was in danger of floating away (but for the flaky tender crust tethering it to earth). The revelation of such exceptional pastries in Aspen at such a modest and friendly bakery is likely to impact all of our travel planning through the Roaring Fork valley for years to come! YUM! Perhaps we need to return for more fall color photos next week? read more

Came in for the almond croissants but as usual they were sold out and so we were forced to try the cinnamon rolls and the chocolate croissant and the plain croissant and now I am addicted to all of these instead of just the almond. Extraordinary quality and wish a commercial landlord in town (any Roaring Fork valley town) would offer this gastronomic genius a retail space worthy of his stature.
