We ate here two days in a row and so I have a better sense of what I like and what I'll pass on. The first day I got the avocado tuna appetizer with a side of grouper. I think their grouper is fantastic, but the avocado tuna was spicy. I thought it was going to be chunks of tuna, but it was more mushed, I wasn't a fan. I did, however love my frozen kiwi piña colada drink and would definitely get that again. The second day I got the peach salad and added grouper, it was delicious and this will definitely be my go to get dish. I got a key lime piña colada and there was basically no alcohol in it. It was delicious, but I didn't taste or feel alcohol at all. My kids love the pretzel here and they both want their own. One son ate the chicken tenders and fries. The other son did not so we should always get a chicken tender and fries and split it between the two of them and then get them each their own pretzel. Parking is plentiful. It is all outdoor seating, but it is covered with fans so even though we came on a hot day in June, it was still pretty nice. Service was great, if you are headed to honeymoon State Park I would highly recommend stopping here on your way back.

I had a taste for a grouper sandwich since I saw it on IG. I picked this Frenchy's rather than the ones in Clearwater Beach bc of their parking. It's also down the street from Dunedin Causeway and Honeymoon Island. Enjoyed having lunch here. We had a perfect spot with lots of fans around and in the shade. It also wasn't too loud like other tables were. My husband ordered the pulled pork platter which came with two sides. He had the coconut rice and potato salad with it. He liked the sauce with it bc it was sweet and not too smokey. I ordered the original grouper sandwich 4 ounce which was very big still, they also offer the 6 ounce super grouper for $3 more. I wanted the smaller one bc I wanted to get the crab garlic fries based on the rave reviews on ig. The fries with crab and old bay garlic seasoning were really tasty. The grouper sandwich was also very good. I asked for mango salsa on the side for it as well as lemon. Really enjoyed everything here. There are some cute picture ops here including their sign and big fish in the front and the cute tall beach chair. Happy we came back here again. Next time I want to eat at the Frenchy's Seafood market which is right across the street. Server was friendly.

We've been a fan of Frenchy's in Clearwater, so we stopped on our way home from Honeymoon Island. I had the usual: the grouper sandwich; my dad had the coconut shrimp; and my sister had the mahi dinner. We also stepped up and had a round of frozen drinks to finish the day. Our server was friendly and attention and the food was yummy as usual. Even though it's not on the water, it still has that vibe. Casual and fun.

Yesterday (7/1/26) I spent the day with my son at Honeymoon Beach. It was 28th birthday. As the afternoon storms built up we decided to eat lunch before heading home. As we walked into Frenchy's Outpost everyone greeted us with big smiles. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by Leanne. I had a Cajun grouper sandwich with slaw. We both love Mango Cart My son had grouper nuggets. I raised my family on grouper. Our food was great, service was great. Even the fishbone logo is epic. The beach feel makes the dining experience complete. We live over an hour away or I would visit more often. I just wanted to thank you for capping off a great day for us! Cheers

When we got inside, everything is super bright and colorful. Hostess offered us inside or outside seating and we decided to do outside seating. It was right on the street so it was open and nice. We ordered a bunch of stuff and everything was DELICIOUS. My husband is a chef and he complimented the chef at this restaurant really knows how to cook his dishes even down to the butter garlic string beans!

My all-time favorite place to eat when we visit Dunedin. The Grouper is amazing and they offer it in two sizes of sandwiches. The servers are always friendly and helpful. The food is consistently high quality and scrumptious. I tried something different this time and ordered the Grouper Trio. 6oz. Grouper, scallops and shrimp. Everything was lightly battered and just the way I like it. A side of slaw and fries and I was in heaven. My wife got the Grouper sandwich and it was delicious. they have other locations, but this is my favorite.

If you're a Clearwater local, then you surely know the name Frenchy's. With their first spot opening up over 4 decades ago, they're truly a staple on this coast. Having 5 locations between Clearwater & Dunedin, I make it a mission to go every time I visit the area. I can confidently say they serve some of the best seafood around & their longevity speaks for itself. With a wide range of mouthwatering seafood options they also have wings, delicious burgers & juicy chicken sandwiches if that isn't really your thing. However, if you go to Frenchy's, you order seafood (I don't make the rules). Their fish spread is one of my favorite items on the menu. It's always fresh, seasoned perfectly & comes out in a large serving. I could probably eat a whole plate to myself & not think twice. The she crab soup is also a must have. It's their only soup offering but I think that's for a reason; it's absolutely amazing. If you do one thing right, why change that? It's creamy, sweet with a little spice & loaded with chunks of crab. Too bad they don't offer it by the gallon. It'd almost be a crime to visit & not order a grouper sandwich. Their pride & joy, the foundation of Frenchy's, their logo. You have to get it. Whether you opt for beer battered, grilled, Cajun, Buffalo or as a Reuben, you're going to inhale it. Their grouper is insanely fresh, as it's locally-sourced. If you're a fan of seafood, you'll be able to tell just how great it is after one bite. The filets are always hearty & flaky. Their tartar sauce is unique for sure but super flavorful. It has a peppercorn taste so it might not be for everyone, but I personally love it. Drinks are poured nicely & they have all the "beach" beverages you can think of. Piña coladas, strawberry daiquiris, rum runners & more. Service is generally good at all locations, this one being no different. The servers are friendly, food comes out quickly & the dining area is kept clean. Frenchy's is definitely one of my all time favorite seafood joints in Florida. If you haven't been then you need to change that ASAP!

Another restaurant in the Frenchy's group, this place is just as delicious as the other Frenchy's restaurant in the Clearwater/Dunedin area. Located on the causeway, it's only a few minutes from downtown Dunedin, Honeymoon Island and many hotels in the area. It's very casual and its serving up some seafood deliciousness! If you like soup, the she-crab soup is so creamy and delicious with just the right amount of spice and lots of crab. This is the only soup they serve here and it's a winner for sure. The fish spread here is probably the best I've had anywhere and it's not to be missed. I get it every time I eat at any of the Frenchy's restaurants. If you like crab cakes, the ones they serve here are loaded with real crab, none of that fake krab. Perfectly seasoned and a nice size! My personal favorite though is their grouper sandwich. The fish is always locally caught and you can absolutely taste the freshness of the fish in every bite. They offer it several ways.. grilled, blackened, fried and you can have it as a sandwich or as part of a platter if you want. The sandwich is my go to. For those who don't care for seafood they also have delicious hamburgers and cheeseburgers. I'm not really a French fry person but the ones they serve here are amazing! There's plenty of room here in the dining room and some tables in the bar as well. Service is fast and friendly and the restaurant is super clean.

You can always count on Frenchy's when you are in the mood for seafood! Went for lunch with my wife and we both had the excellent rich creamy she-crab soup- good amount of crab and a nice touch of sherry! My wife had the grilled octopus and I had the super-size 8 ounce grouper sandwich perfectly grilled! No room for dessert... Friendly efficient service!

This place rocks! I had an amazing time eating this and my only problem is I don't live close enough to try this entire menu. The menu has several options for different types of seafood. Start with the soup. It was absolutely amazing. The oysters were SO FRESH! Don't get the half dozen and short yourself. The crab cake was great and my only gripe is it's an appetizer. If you're by yourself, great, but if on a date, order two or three. The service was amazing but I highly suggest planning ahead. The place stays busy! The location is also amazing as you can have a beach day and then swing by here on your way back out of town.

There's no substitute for maple, it elevates any dish and is easy to come by... I also love to see blueberry or blackberry as options.
