This is one of those rare reviews that has no photo. For those in SoCal who are familiar with…read moreSouplantation, and miss it after they shut down, Soup n Fresh has come to fill the void. For those who haven't experienced it before, it's an AYCE salad bar, soups, and other prepared foods. They have two locations. One is in Chino, the other here and Rancho Cucamonga. This location is wildly popular and the line never dies down until they close. We came in the middle of an afternoon on Sunday and it was still at least a 30 minute wait. Their system is very efficient. A staff will let a limited amount of people in at a time to keep the salad bar line clear and moving smoothly. In between groups of people that are let in, the ones behind the counter will restock items that are low and wipe down the counters. That makes the place look clean all the time. Once you enter, grab a plate or two and a tray and create your own salad. They have many types of veggies with several types of dressings. Then you'll pay at the end of the line at the cashier station. They also have about 4 to 5 different types of soups, few types of muffins, baked potatoes, fresh cut, fruit, and a few other items. Soup n Fresh is a total nostalgic place for me because the last time I went to a place like this was before the pandemic of 2020, and everything tasted just like Souplantation, from the clam chowder to their ranch dressing. The experience brought back a lot of memories when I used to run into friends all the time. I hope they will open more locations towards San Gabriel Valley area.

We went to the one in Rancho Cucamonga since we were in the neighborhood. The line wasn't too bad since we got there around 4 PM on Sunday afternoon, we probably stand in line around 20 minutes. The inside was kind of dirty, food everywhere on the floor, seems the waitresses having a hard time keeping up with the crowds.

Popcorn chicken comes on the side, it's a highlight of this dish! Tender inside crunchy outside. Otherwise, the broth is not too special, and a little bit too oily to our taste. - Pumpkin Pot: 4.8/5. The broth is amazing and a highlight of this dish! Sweet, savory and little spicy makes a perfect combo. They have some special deals on weekdays.

I did not like pork intestine or pork blood rice cake. I figured out later that I could have asked to leave it out. These items have strong flavor. If you are not into these things, be sure to leave it out of your order. I feel like the pot is rather small. I wasn't full after I have finished my pot of food. I had ordered vermicelli instead of rice. If you are hungry, you should order a bowl of rice instead of vermicelli. You have a choice of spicy level. During lunch hour, an iced tea is complimentary with your order. The iced tea was very refreshing.

This location is located in a plaza with several other businesses so its usually always packed with people. Parking may be a little difficult but the food is worth it. There was little to no wait and my party of 4 was seated quickly. It took a little bit to get some service as the place was packed on a Thursday night but we ordered right when the waiter came. The food took around 10-15 mins to come which wasn't too bad but I was definitely getting hangry after a long day lol. But the galbi was so plentiful, tender and delicious. The potatoes were also really soft and tasty. The sauce tasted perfect with the rice and although the food was a little greasy and definitely needed to be eaten with water, it was still so delicious. We also got cheese with ours that they melted with a blowtorch in front of us which was fun. I brought a friend who was a first timer and she loved it and even wanted to bring her family who was from out of town here. It is a little expensive at $100+ after tip and tax, but there was also plenty of leftovers for the four of us that we took home which I was able to eat a second helping the next day. I wish the service was a little better as I would've liked more water multiple times and napkins. Nonetheless, food was delicious and I can't wait to come back again and try a soup as well.
