If Mrs. Newman is appointed by the court ask for a different lawyer. You will receive a questionnaire in the mail with a letter attached asking you to fill it in and contact her office. Do this at your own risk, she really doesn't want you to do this. If you do meet you will immediately get the sense that you're taking up her valuable time. I guess it's because it is set by the court how much that her firm can bill you for her services. Mrs.Newman's questions were aggressive, and she had a "Why are you here ?" expression written all over her face. When I informed her that it was the letter from her asking me to call her office to arrange an appointment to see her she showed me the door.i was glad to leave and almost felt like getting sick. He wouldn't respond to emails or telephone calls. It seemed that every time we did talk, he had no idea what our last correspondence was. He was discourteous and unprofessional. I feel that the guidance that I needed from him was non-existent and that I ended up giving much more up to my ex-wife than I had to. If anyone ever asks me about him, I'll be more than happy to share my terrible experience with them. If I could give zero stars here, I would. He never could remember when I was available to talk. He expected me to talk at his convenience. He repeatedly scheduled events such as depositions when it was difficult and awkward for me to get time off either by not consulting me on scheduling or not remembering what I told him. I walked a shaky line with my government job. Really only seemed interested in an easy pay day. He had no human empathy for the chronic pain the accident left me in. He seemed to assume that it was an act. It always surprised him when I mentioned it. Finally despite settling before he had to do much work on the case (he specifically stated such at the settlement hearing), he took 40% including off the money I had to pay back to my health insurance and the money he took for costs so he ended up with more money than I did. I would never use him again.

Basically wasted $4,100 for him to only get my husband the same deal as the public defender had already worked out, the total cost was supposed to be $5,000 but he said not to worry about the other $900, I guess not, got paid $4,000 to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
