Dan and his crew have helped me twice, once three years ago when we moved to this house and he did some demolition of 1990's style (useless) decorations in the wall and repaired the orange peel texture beautifully, painted the rounded corners with crisp lines where my designer had specified different room colors. So when we planned a mini-reno of the kitchen, I called him again, because I knew he could remove the hanging soffit and repair the ceiling properly. The ceiling isn't popcorn, but it IS textured and Dan worked his magic and it looks perfect. I have no idea how he does this. Before/after photos below. Very disappointing experience. Messaged them through Yelp. Dan responded the next day, gave him our address and set up an estimate for a Thursday. Said he'd call and if unable to make it would do it Friday or Saturday. Told him I was available anytime. Never heard anything else from him. This was the second time I tried to work with them -- a couple of months ago, I messaged them through their website. Never heard back either. These guys are AWESOME! Quote for exterior of a 2900sf house came in under what others were quoting...and Daniel was the only painter I found who would do a faux wood finish on my (unfortunately) already painted wood carport and patio ceiling. Daniel and crew showed up on time and worked all day every day they were there. He made sure to confirm with me every step of the way where certain trim colors were supposed to go and that colors and finishes were correct. Cleanup was extremely thorough and they left the house and landscaping just as clean as they found it. At the final walk through, Daniel even touched up a few things that weren't on the contract. Asked for a quote on my house last year. Said business did not service my area. Paid another company $4600 to paint the exterior of my home. I'm in Coastal Alabama on the border of Florida. If a 30 minute drive is not worth almost $5000 to a business, why do business with them. I thought maybe he had more business than he could cover, until he sent me comments begging me to remove my review. Until now, I had just given him the one star, because of the refusal to bid the project. I decided to write out an explanation, since this company thought they could send me a message. Exact words "Anything I can do to get you to change your review? It affects my business, since it's on Yelp". Well, yeah, there's something you could have done, but it's too late. You could've made the short drive to my house and bid on painting the exterior, as promised. If you're looking for some real professionals either in Costal Alabama or Pensacola area, call Just Fix It. They replaced an entire side of my privacy fence 107 boards, for less than $380. That's materials and labor. Replaced an old fan with a Bahama fan (looks like palm leaves) on my covered back patio for $110. The bid for the exterior paint job they did was at least $1000 less than everyone else's bids. The paint job was done by hand, and it took them a week to complete it, but it was perfect They did an excellent job on both projects. My wife and I were both contacting painters to provide quotes to repaint a large portion of our house. My wife scheduled an appointment with Dan to walk through the house, and he simply didn't show up. When contacted about it, he apologized and rescheduled, but then completely missed the next appointment as well. Separately, I also set up an appointment with him (without realizing he'd already spoken to my wife), but then he was a no-call, no-show to that appointment as well. Very unprofessional.
