CONS: - The girl taking my order looked s o . b o r e d . - The Superbiotic Green Wrap I ordered kind of sucked. It was swimming (ugh) in cucumber dill dressing and the collard greens were soggy/chewy -- not crunchy and easy to eat. I ended up dumping the contents of the wrap out in a bowl and spooning it out instead. It was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. - My Lifesupport juice gave me the healthy boost I needed, but the banana taste was much stronger than I expected. I desperately wanted to love this place, especially after my friend raved about it and took me here, but I wasn't really impressed. She ordered the Pangoa bowl (without chicken) and it was good. I love the idea of this restaurant and the store front is pretty nifty looking. Sadly the food was pretty horrible. It was also annoying that they did not have a soda fountain. You have to buy them bottled. It was busy when I was there so I did not want to wait in another line at a different restaurant. The service was pretty slow. We were hoping for faster food which is why were eating in a food court. I ordered the Bangkok burrito with tofu. The spicy peanut sauce had a little spice and no flavor. The rice was cheap tasting. It reminded me of uncle ben's except worse. I kept eating it hoping it would get better and it did not so I ended up tossing most of it. Considering how gross the food was and how slow they were I wanted to give them one star but I do like how they are a healthier option in the food court so I bumped it up to two. I am so disgusted by this place. I ordered food from here for the first time and my salad had not one, not two but three LONG pieces of hair. One on the hairs was so imbedded into the salad that a carrot shaving was tangled in it. (I uploaded pictures for you to see) I am so unbelievably disappointed and I will never ever ever order from here again. I understand that mistakes happen, but three pieces of hair is no mistake. I heard about Freshii through a coworker and decided to try it the other day. I've been look for healthier options as well as meatless options. I ordered online so I can't comment on the location/staff. I decided to try the Tex Mex Burrito. To my surprise, when it arrived at the office it was still warm. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was delicious and I will definitely try some of their other dishes in the future. I did order 2 sauces on the side but only received one. The sauce I received was red pepper sauce and that was pretty good. It can be a little bit pricy at times but for the quality I was not disappointed and I was full for hours. If your looking for a place that has healthy, meatless options for lunch you should definitely check this place out. read more

After having Freshii in the West Loop for lunch, I had the Freshii itch again for dinner! I ordered the exact same meal as I did down in the city! Metaboost Salad, KId's Chicken Quesadilla, and Cocoa Engerii Bites. All were fantastic again!!! I think they actually gave me more salad at this location then the other one! My GF has the Pokii bowl, which was good, but not as good as my dishes. The prices are a bit high, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for healthy food. We came here while at Yorktown mall and decided on Freshii because we enjoy a healthy meal. Which this very much is. I ordered the smokehouse burrito with chicken and the taste was delicious as well as a fresh juice (mighty detox). My fiancé ordered the fiesta salad and the #lifesupport fresh juice and she was also satisfied. The price of the food would be the biggest downfall for the place. The total came to around $40. It's expected when eating fresh but we didn't think it should be quite as much. read more

My review will be based solely on my first (and possibly last) visit to the Yorktown location. I have eaten the Oak Brook location many times, I always order the same thing: Entree Soup combo consisting of a cup of black bean soup, pita chips, and roasted red pepper hummus, all for about $5. I place the exact same order at this location, and here were some problems I noted. 1) The girl at the register was not experienced. I ordered the 'Entree Soup Combo.' She says she'll be right back, and her manager comes up front to show her how to ring it up on the register. 2) She then asks me what type of hummus I wanted: "Red or Green." Now I know what she meant, but if this were my first time eating at Freshii, I would just assume that they were the same hummus, just dyed a different color. Who knows, maybe I have a pepper allergy? So anyways, I tell her "red." She says "we only have green." "Why would you ask me then?" I thought. So I tell her green is okay, I honestly like either type, but the roasted red pepper is my favorite. 3) She hands me my chips and hummus, gets my soup, then asked if I needed a tray. Obviously...? 4) While this was all going on, the manager was apologizing to another customer saying they were out of rice. I should also mention that it's about 7PM. There are 2 hours left before the mall closes, and it's reasonable that they could stop making fresh food about half an hour before closing. They had no reason why they couldn't even make half a pot of rice. I could also assume that their hummus is brought in from an outside source, unlike the oak brook location where you can see them make many items. Now, a Yelp review wouldn't be complete without actually mentioning the food. The Black Bean Soup? Delicious. It was a nice portion. Soup never fills me up, but it was a nice treat from this midwest artic chill. Smelled like chilli, tasted like it too, minus meat. I don't typically have soup from places unless it's clam chowder, so I don't really have much to compare it to. But it was great, and vegan. The chips? Broken in the little paper back, with few pieces able to scoop up the hummus. The hummus? Watery. It may have been frozen and then thawed out, which may have added the water. Otherwise, it was nice. Nonetheless, I would recommend visiting the Oak Brook location if you want to fully experience everything Freshii has to offer. It is literally half a mile east on butterfield road, and turn south at the light where Dick's Sporting goods is. It's been there for a while as far as I know, and it has been a hidden little gem if you want to give healthy food a shot. Keep an eye out on the Oak Brook location's Yelp page, I may write a review for it once I try something other than the soup! read more

Blah. I love the idea of a healthy place to stop in the mall but, really Freshii? You are way overpriced for the bland crap you just served me. Salad was small and totally uneventful. I was going to get a smoothie, but for $5.85 for a medium? I passed. (Also, no small option) The lady at the counter offered me their kid's strawberry banana smoothie instead since she saw my little one in tow. I took her up on that offer since the smoothie was for my daughter in the first place. But, for the kid's size it ended up costing me $5.45. What a deal! Won't be back. read more

I've never personally found hair in my food myself. I enjoyed my few experiences ordering both within the the food court at the Yorktown mall at this place and through Bite Squad and Seamless. Now, I would agree though that the prices are quite high. It shouldn't be that we pay more for healthy food, but it would be understandable if certain products were tentatively higher during "out of season" times. read more

This place is food allergy friendly with gluten, peanut, soy, and other allergies well handled with a special menu calling out what is and is not naturally allergen free and what can be made allergen free with some tweaks. They can also handle lifestyle choices like vegetarian and vegan. All natural and made freshly to order. In fact, my salad was made by tossing it with the dressing in a plastic bag to avoid cross-contamination from bowls and utensils. And the food? Yummy and reasonably priced for what I received. read more

Not great but not bad. If you are trying to eat healthy this is the place at the Yorktown mall food court. Not badly priced for the quality of food. I had the buffalo chicken salad with kale base and added chicken. It had flavor but was on the small side. I also had a mango smoothly which was average, pricey, and I'm not sure if they used whole fruit or premixed. I would stop here again if I'm at the mall. read more

Terrible service. They have teenagers working here that sit around doing nothing and have no sense of customer service. They don't even make juices anymore. They sell you a bottle of prepaid juice from the fridge. What's the point? Definitely not coming back. read more

Love the Buddha's Satay bowl. A little tip is that you can order extra sauce on the side if you think it needs a little more. Also you can get Sriracha. So good. Pretty quick even when there is a rush. Love that bowl. Probably the best thing on their menu with the spicy peanut sauce. read more

I ordered the tex mex burrito as a bowl. It tasted great but it was not at all what I was expecting. It was a lot of rice, a good amount of chicken, and maybe 10 black beans, 10 pieces of corn, 20 pieces of tomato, no cheese that I could see and a slice of avocado. When I opened it, I had to dig to see anything that wasn't white. I might try this place one more time but if it's the same results, I'm done. They do have a very, very nice staff at the counter so that's a redeeming factor. read more

Well, I have to say that this place is good for "food court" food. I will take it over nasty Sbarro or any of that other garbage. The service was good, but nothing too special. I know I can't jusge a place on this, but I ordered a burrito and they had nothing spicy that they could put into it. The BBQ sauce that was mixed in wasn't bad, but could have used a little more zest or something. Everything was fresh though and I would go back here when in the area. Been here twice. Both times got the detox green juice. Very good. What isn't very good is the attitude of the teenage cashiers and hygiene habits of the same girls. One girl didn't use gloves to make our juices the other girl did but she touched so much stuff while wearing them they were just as bad had she not worn them. Such a let-down! I used to LOVE Freshii, and would go nearly every day for lunch when I worked downtown in the Loop. I ordered a quinoa bowl with a bunch of veggies, some chicken and feta cheese. What I received was a huge bowl of quinoa with WAY too much dressing and about a quarter of what the veggies should be. I can count literally 3 small crumbles of feta (which you have to pay extra for) and there are probably 6 spinach leaves total. Seriously! Spinach is so cheap...why skimp? When Freshii first came to Chicago, it was awesome. I think maybe it's gotten too big to be good anymore. :-( read more

One of the best features of going to a food court is the variety. Especially if you go with a bunch of friends who have differing tastes. Unfortunately, food court usually means you have to compromise a little and go for one of the quick service heavy meals, like the Asian restaurants (FREE SAMPLE?) that litter most food courts. The pricing is a little expensive. For a while, they had a $3 check in offer off of any entree, which made things a little more reasonable. I understand that there is a premium for some of the ingredients, but with meat, the burritos and bowls get pretty high up there. For a lunch, that's a lot of dough. If you add a shake or juice, you're going to be above $15. But the food is pretty good. I find that the portions can be very inconsistent. Sometimes I get a small amount, which annoys me. Especially when you are paying a premium for meat, they should give you the proper amount. Service is always pretty good, although when it's busy the wait can be pretty long. read more

This is quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The employees here are very rude. I am speaking of the Freshii located inside the Target store. They take forever with preparing the food. Everyone who was waiting for their orders were clearly agitated as well as I. One of the employees had the audacity to ask me if I was upset with a cocky tone. Really? An employee getting cocky with a customer. And I could hear the other employee making comments under her breath saying something about Ignorant Ass Customers. Food was horrible. Just an awful experience. Located inside the new Eatery at Yorktown mall, this is one of the few places that is not greasy fast food in a food court. It seems slightly overpriced as it is part of a food court like Sbarro to the right, but the quality of ingredients justifies it. The main items are salads and wraps. They still serve breakfast burritos and wraps throughout the day so I chose the ranchero burrito which is vegetarian but has eggs, avocado, black beans, cilantro, and pico de gallo wrapped in a honey wheat tortilla. For $5, it was pretty filling as everything cooked well and melded together. My friend had a bacon, egg, and cheese wrap although it was essentially a triangular burrito. There was no mistaking the smoky bacon, so this is not a completely vegetarian place. Looking over the menu as we were waiting, there are plenty of options I would definitely try since I recently came off the Daniel Fast. They use a variety of fresh and flavorful ingredients so you're never short on taste or missing out on the sugar or processed items. They also use a lot of items that are extra at other places so the value is there: avocado, brown rice, kale, better quality nuts like almonds and walnuts, spinach/field greens instead of head lettuce, quinoa, edamame, and bean sprouts. The main drawback is that it is in the mall so getting in and out is not necessarily convenient nor is sitting in the same area as Sbarro or Cinnabon. This place is a good option if you are searching for something "healthy" in the Yorktown food court. I tried the Superbiotic salad with chicken, and I thought it was fresh and delicious. The prices here are not cheap, but I think you have to expect to pay a little more for real food as opposed to crappy food court pizza/burgers. I always have a complicated order and they don't make me feel like I'm a nuisance. They also make my crazy order perfectly and I've never have been disappointed. I go to Paul Mitchell in the mall so I eat here a lot. I also only have a 30 min lunch so i need to hurry like really hurry, and they are always very fast. I get the dressings on the side so I can put the amount I want on it. Also people say it's expensive but you get what you pay for. Especially when it comes to produce and meat they don't use cheap ingredients. You can taste that. Highly recommended. Everyone is so kind and the food is soooo amazing. It's really great to have such wholesome healthy delicious food quickly and made by such great friendly people, even if you only have 30 minutes :) read more

The idea of this place is great and I was really excited to try it, considering the other options in the food court are loaded with either sugar or sodium for the most part. I ordered one of their burritos with chicken ($9, no drink) and my sister ordered a salad with steak ($13 w/ bottle of water). We waited a long time for the food, but considering it was a pretty busy Saturday afternoon at the mall, I let that slide. The portion size was good considering what we paid, but the actual taste and quality of the food was what made me give this two stars. My burrito was mostly rice and the chicken in it tasted like nothing. There was very little cheese, cilantro or beans, which the menu said it contained, and which I had hoped would flavor it up a bit. My sisters salad was even more disappointing looking. It was pretty much just all lettuce and we counted a whopping 3 tiny pieces of cubed steak in the entire thing. I will most likely not be returning to Freshii. read more
