Located on Mariahilferstraße and sprawling over three floors Thalia is fairly extensive. There is a large English and smaller Spanish language section at the back of the store. Diverse selection of books, DVDs, CDs and stationary and many members of staff just waiting to find what you're looking for. Not too expensive either and if you look deep enough there are some good bargains to be had. Well worth a few minutes.

It is not as inviting as other ones, for example, this one lacks chairs/sofas where you can sit and start reading your book, but the friendly staff members compensate that, so it's ok :) I think this is a great place to check out, if you for any reason need to wait for your train or wait for someone to arrive.

On a recent trip I picked up some David Sedaris and Stephen Clarke, found some English-language travel guides that I hadn't seen at the British Bookstore, and was sorely tempted to buy even more books but realized they wouldn't fit in my luggage for the trip back home.
