First of all, please understand that this is not a shiny new store. It is lovingly worn, and with a patina etched by scores of local clients for years. Worn but spotlessly clean! Hardly a time I go to this store without seeing people cleaning, sticking and arranging products. Two areas deserve particular "Gold Stars"...the Produce and Bakery Departments. Produce is always fresh, always orderly, and always attractive. It is a small store, and that makes having such an attractive produce area difficult, but they do it! The Bakery is run by staff who know exactly what they are doing. The preparation area is spotless and shelves are always stocked. You will usually see a staff member in the display area making sure that everything is in order. A small Food Lion in a small town in Eastern NC gets 4 Stars....who would have thought???
