The store is very large so I didn't get to see all of it. They had an area with nice tables where you could sit and eat. I have never seen brewed tea in a grocery store before and wanted to get some but couldn't find the cups. The prices were about average on some things but above average on others. A gallon of milk was 2.00 more at this store than the Walmart we went to earlier in the week. I like that they had a section for many bulk items with bags and stickers but no pen to write with. Both self checkouts and cashiers were available.

On separate occasions over this past week, the following has occurred: 1) When asking the customer service counter to check lottery tickets, the young male said it was outside his pay grade and referred someone to else. 2) While checking out, the young girl behind the customer service counter was sneaking puffing on her vape. Just before that, a manager was stocking the candy section at the register without saying anything only for me to have bumped into it and excusing myself. He probably should have waited for customers not to be at a register or at least acknowledged he was there. 3) Asked two people at the deli if they had banana pudding and they said they were out, only to find out they had an entire pan and a half as I walked further down. 4) If you don't have an Ingles card, the cashier didn't even know to ask the customer if they would like one to register. These are 100% a store manager issue and easy things to correct. As of now, it's chaos.

For years, my grandmother shopped there, my mother shopped there, and honestly everybody I knew shopped there. It was one of my grandmother's favorite stores, so Publix has always felt special and familiar to me. Everyone is always so friendly, the food is delicious, and their bakery... oh my goodness, the Key lime pies are AMAZING! I was so excited when Publix opened in Boone. Every time I visit my family in North Carolina, I buy four Key lime pies to fly home to Connecticut with me. The bakery staff is always so kind and helpful. They leave the pies in the bakery boxes instead of putting them in the plastic pie containers they normally sell them in, which actually makes them much easier and safer to travel with. I use a pie carrier bag, and they always make it so easy. Wonderful customer service every single time!

They have a complete grocery, personal care, electronics, clothes, toys, automotive, even vision and tire centers. We went into this location to shop for a nearby event. The organic fruit/veggie selection was pitiful and I could not find employee a single employee walking the floor to help find specific items. Ingles basically forces you to walk to the very front of the store just to ask for help locating items. When the throat coat tea was missing from the shelf I brought the label up to see if they had additional products in the back...in the front "penalty box" I witnessed four employees having personal conversations when several of those employees could have been helping customers or working a check-out seeing as how each one of the lines, including self-checkout, was 4 - 5 customers deep.
