They have won something called the Frietopia award from 2009-2014. No word on what happened in 2015. The fries are really rich and fatty, and have a subtle potato flavor. The croquettes and chicken sticks are extra crispy, and a little longer than the average croquette format. The vanilla milkshake tasted very artificial, it was very sad. They have a limit of 6 small fries per person, so that the line doesn't move any slower than it already does, so keep that in mind if you're ordering for a large group. The line at the counter was crazy. We waited 45 minutes before we could order and another 10-15 minutes for our food at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. I don't think it's worth it just for the fries, but clearly many other people disagree with me, otherwise there wouldn't be such a crowd. The wait was sort of gezellig, with people of all types cramming into the small shop. You can also ask for extra meat (I think it is €2?). 1. Mexicano (€3): This is perfect if I'm feeling snacky. You can pick between beef or chicken. 3. Dürüm Döner (€6,50 - €7): This is perfect for a meal. It is a wrap. You can get it with beef, chicken, or combo. 4. Döner Box (€6,50 - €7): This is also perfect for a meal. Your food comes in a to-go container, with meat (beef, chicken, or combo) on top and fries on the bottom. This is the one I get the most often, because I am usually always craving fries. 5. Pain Frites (€8): I cannot finish one of these on my own. This is basically the exact same thing as a Döner Box, except everything is placed on top of a giant bread roll. It's super messy to eat, but absolutely worth it. 6. Kapsalon (€8 - €9,50): I also cannot finish one of these on my own. It reminds me of a Döner Box, but with an added layer of cheese on top. Other things I've tried here: 7. Side of Fries (€2,50 - €3,95): Very addictive fries! I don't usually order the fries on their own, because if I'm in the mood for fries, I'll simply get either a Döner Box, Pain Frites, or Kapsalon. 8. Hotwings (€5 - €9): Very tasty! The Dutch people consider fries to be their main course, not an appetizer. Therefore places like this are quite packed during lunch and dinner times. RPEL also has gourmet dipping sauces to accompany your fries with such as mayo, Belgian mayo, BBQ, curry sauce, applesauce (a German thing) and their new citrus and truffle mayos. The citrus had the nice touch of actual lime zest sprinkled on it, and the truffle mayo was definitely delicious. They also have a variety of other friend foods to snack on. Yes.
