Once I went to a real functional medicine Dr they discovered what the cause of all of my health issues was in one visit. I really enjoyed seeing Dr Singh, unfortunately she prescribed me a new medication at every visit. Prozac, Wellbutrin, adderall, Xanax, etc. A functional medicine Dr does not polydrug their patient to mask their symptoms. Then came my 4 year long journey of withdrawal due to Dr Singh abruptly taking me off all the antidepressants she had me on. She has done this to 2 other people that I know personally, and they have suffered equally as much as me as a result. When I realized that I was in withdrawal, her only response to me was "want me to send you another prescription for Prozac?" I stayed off all the meds and finally made out of the withdrawal hell, battled severe withdrawal symptoms including depression, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and horrific akathisia just to share a few and I now feel strong and amazing and I am returning to warn others and perhaps educate the Dr herself of the damages that overprescribing can cause. I think Dr Singh has good intentions and I really loved the aspire health model. I suffered so much from the effects of her negligence that I would feel terrible not speaking out.

This was my yearly Dr for a few years…read more Pros: I like that she's slightly more holistic than your average MD. She doesn't push meds on you, etc. The front desk/ physicians assistant (?) are generally nice people, though it is a bit of a revolving door. The office is small. It is only one Dr. Cons: I've waited for 2+ hours past my appointment time without so much as an apology. Dr is a bit unprofessional. For example, I've mentioned I have hydranetis suppurativa and she said, "Why? You not hairy!" She didn't know that or not- but even if I am- that has nothing to do with it. It's auto immune disorder. She's almost made comments like, "Oh, your weight went up! Every year your weight goes up" and giggled about it. Very strange. A while back I asked her opinion on medical marijuana or CBD oil and she said "Oh people just want to get high". There are thousands of professional papers written that refute this. Dr does not remember you (which is fine), but doesn't even seem to review her notes. Every year I had to repeat my entire medical history and it was extremely annoying. She'd write it all down and then next year it was like, I know nothing about your medical history, let's start all over again. When you go for yearly checkup, she won't tell you your results for your bloodwork unless you physically go in the office and pay a copayment. Thankfully labs email you your results. That's about all I have for now. She's not horrible, but not the greatest. I'm still on my quest for finding good doctors in south Florida. It is no easy feat.

My rock bottom was basically a 3 day hospitalization with my hemoglobin at 3 and at the urgent request by my then Dr and pretty much ALL the assisting personnel for me to have a transfusion. My Dr. (which had already MISDIAGNOSED me with Crohns) was now telling me that I had a sort of "rthritis in my intestines" and that I had to be on steroids pretty much the rest of my life. My 18 year old daughter has been dealing with menstrual problems for the past 2 years and the only resolution by medical doctors is birth control. Dr Nazar gave a natural alternative to begin the healing process for my daughter through diet, supplements. Acupuncture, and taking care of the problem at its core rather than covering it up.
