I…read morewouldn't have even worked with them in the first place, if they weren't the only broker for the building we wanted to move into. Totally unprofessional and unsophisticated people. We signed a lease for an apartment, and agreed to pay an additional fee to get the keys 1 day early. The move in date we needed was stated in the paperwork that was signed. Come time to move in, they gave us the run around for 2 days, and kept saying we'd get the keys. When we had all of our possessions packed into a uhaul, then they tell multiple excuses as to why they can't get us our keys. None of those excuses sounded plausible or made any sense. What really was the deal is they somehow forgot we wanted the keys one day early and then tried to scramble to get them and failed miserably. They could have told us the night before or that morning that it was not going to work out, and we would not have gone through all of that trouble to pack up our stuff. We had moved out of our apartment and had no where to go. They didn't care! Oh well! We incurred hundreds of dollars of added costs as well as taking off another day of work to move in later. They admitted at the time they messed up and knew about our added costs. When we submitted our fair breakdown and receipts for the added costs, we didn't hear back again. I called and was basically told that they have no control over when the apartment is ready and that's it. Which is BS. We're just out of luck. You do have control over whether you pick up the phone and tell us, though! Moving is a difficult and expensive time that you try to plan out correctly and they act like they don't know anything about how this works. These people seem very shady and unintelligent. We should have known when a tenant approached us on a walk through and said 'good luck!' They did so much wrong I can't even fit it here. Do not work with Nadine Watt and don't deal with a Fleetwood Realty. Zero stars for you. And clean up your nasty office that is covered in dog hair and smells terrible! Get your act together

On August 29, 2016 I entered into a purchase agreement through Fleetwood Realty for a coop apt. In Mt. Vernon, NY. Ms. Rosalie Rose appeared to work hand in hand with a board member, conspiring together to insuring that my application would be rejected by the Board without cause. I did not feel that the agency represented my interests with professionalism, or the curtesy or respect for privacy that should be afforded every client. Rosalie engagement with a board member foster a negative outcome, based on revelation of their private conversation. This is clearly an ethics violation. THE WORST PART OF THIS SITUATION, ROSALIE WAS NOT MY REALTOR! This was not get deal. Yes I made a complaint to the state ! I did make a complaint to her aunt/owner of Fleetwood Linda Rose. Please people be careful know all the rules to real estate before doing business with an office. Even if you are renting . This office is know for scamming people on rental deals too. They lead people on with low credit scores give them false hope. Have them pay the application fees knowing fully well that they are not qualify . Them show the apt to a qualified person closed the deal and dismissed the person with low credit score. Just imagine you are walking into an office for help as a first time buyer or trying to rent an apartment and get scammed! DISHONEST, FRAUD & DOWN RIGHT UNPROFESSIONAL!L

We have a Board in place and all decisions are "supposed" to go through us. I say this because some of the HSC buildings are owned by them. All was great in the beginning when we had to fire our previous management co for a myriad of reasons. Josh Koppel was attentive and sprouting how he would take of everything, and how the previous mgmt co "should not mess with him". The transition was pretty much stress-free. We received monthly maintenance bills, they provided excellent, concise statements and I say that because this simple function was severely lacking at, our previous Mgmt Co. They referred porters, accountants, vendors, and a Lawyer, all of which we interviewed and hired. All seem to be going great until it wasn't. They would fail when it came to needing assistance in our storefront renters, problems with shareholder issues, finding solutions to building problems, loss in income, and answering calls and emails. All were met with rudeness, lies, and lack of attention. All is good if your building is making money and they don't have to do anything. There is so much grift and nepotism at HSC, it will make your head spin. I was warned before hiring them, "Josh Koppell likes to take over". I wasn't sure what that meant but I sure do now. He has to profit off every vendor and outsources almost every function so you end up paying several different entities in addition to their monthly fee, which was very inexpensive on the face. They sabotaged us. Offered no assistance during the pandemic where they continued to get paid and just watched us fall with losing so much in rental income. They try to divide and create riffs amongst board members- they like the ones that are silent and don't ask questions. They refuse to answer questions regarding finances and remove us from their "Master Plans" from which they profit off. I should add, almost every vendor is his relative, including those that are on his "Master Plans". Myra, the building Manager, should not go unmentioned either. She lies and her only job is to serve her boss. It's a joke that she is Manager.

Worst management company I've dealt with…read more Since HSC Management took over, the building has gone downhill fast. Ongoing elevator problems, essential services and amenities being taken offline, unresolved pest issues, and inconsistent heat have all become part of daily life. Communication is poor with no updates. Debra kaplan is a snake who avoids responsibility and is extremely rude to tenants on the phone. For the amount of rent being charged, this level of management is unacceptable. If you're considering a building run by HSC Management, proceed with caution.

I'm NOT sure what is going on, or if they did a round of layoffs, but the team processing the rent…read morechecks are having serious delays. Everything used to be processed and cashed in about one week's time. However, I've noticed they now take almost 3 weeks to post my payment as 'received'. This can potentially cause issues because they can 'FLIP THE SCRIPT' and charge a late fee when in fact the rent check was sent in advance (weeks in advance), and nothing was late to begin with. It's an efficiency processing issue, or a staffing shortage. I have no idea which one it is, but i hope they don't label me a 'bad tenant' due to their inability to manage processing checks because they are trying to play some game, raise rent, or whatever. As stated, i have no idea what is going on and unclear if this is a result of layoffs, shortages, etc., but they need to ensure they are adequately staffed. They haven't done it to me, but there is a potential for someone to do nefarious things and charge a late fee when nothing was late to begin with. This could also be a post office issue as well because there have been things in the news about late deliveries and postal employees throwing mail, and packages away. I just wanted to share this because this has only started happening in the last 2 - 3 months. Other reviews have noted the same issue. Also, i don't appreciate GINGER L. sending me nasty messages. We all have different experiences with management companies and to accuse me of lying in my review was wildly offensive. She should have read my original review more clearly because there was clearly a reading comprehension issues. Anyone reading can clearly tell i was talking about my own personal experiences with them, and how i rated it based on the fact we rarely interact and when we do, they have been responsive. I've had bad experiences, and hope i never do again. Separately, i am not sure if they have biased treatment towards tenants based on where people live (i.e., bad neighborhoods), but i can picture that happening as well. However, i don't know so i can only say its my observations and thoughts on the subject.

I did not want to make assumptions about why those things were happening, so I felt it was best to take the review down at that time. However, I believe it is important to document my experience honestly. I have lived here for approximately two years, and for a significant period of time I have repeatedly reported concerns about conditions and disturbances in my apartment. I have contacted management numerous times seeking answers and assistance. My biggest frustration is that I still do not feel that my concerns have been fully addressed or that I have received a clear explanation of what has been investigated and what is being done to resolve the issues I have reported. I am simply asking for my concerns as a tenant to be taken seriously, properly investigated, and addressed in a professional manner. I hope management will communicate with me directly and work toward resolving the situation. Living here has become an extremely frustrating experience for me. I simply do not understand how a tenant can report so many problems and disturbances in their apartment and still feel like no one in management is able to provide meaningful help or a lasting resolution. I have repeatedly reached out because the disturbances I experience at night have affected my ability to sleep and peacefully enjoy my apartment. When you are paying rent, you expect to be able to come home, rest, sleep, and feel comfortable in the place you are paying to live. At this point, I feel like the only option I have left may be to move out. I have tried repeatedly to get assistance, and I am exhausted from continuing to report the same concerns without feeling that they have been resolved. I can only speak about my personal experience, but anyone considering moving here should ask serious questions about how tenant complaints and ongoing apartment issues are handled before signing a lease. No tenant should have to repeatedly ask for help just to have peace and quiet in their own home.I have lived here for two years. I don't bother anyone, I stay to myself, and during those first two years I was able to live my life without experiencing the problems I am dealing with now. What I cannot understand is why, shortly after renewing my lease for a third year, everything suddenly changed. I began experiencing disturbing and unusual conditions inside my apartment--unexplained noises, movement and vibrations, nighttime disturbances, and other things that I had never experienced during my first two years here. These disturbances have become so disruptive at night that they interfere with my sleep and have affected my ability to get up and go to work. I have repeatedly reported what I am experiencing to management and asked for help. I have also documented what I have experienced extensively, including approximately 140 videos. I have no reason to make any of this up. I simply want someone to take my concerns seriously, investigate what can actually be investigated, and give me answers. Some of the disturbances appear to me to be coming from beneath my apartment. I have also experienced what seems like air or another substance entering my apartment, along with vibrations and movement. I do not know exactly what is causing these things or who, if anyone, is responsible. That is precisely why I have repeatedly asked management to investigate. What makes this experience even more frustrating is feeling as though nobody knows anything when I ask for help. If there are accessible areas beneath or around my apartment, I believe management should inspect them and determine whether there is a building, mechanical, maintenance, or other issue that could explain what I am experiencing. I have also had concerns about openings and equipment in or around my ceiling. Again, I am asking management to determine what these things are and whether they have anything to do with the conditions I am experiencing. I don't want to make accusations that I cannot independently prove--I want answers. After living here peacefully for two years, I never imagined my third year would begin like this. At this point, the situation has become a complete nightmare for me. I should be able to come home, sleep at night, go to work the next morning, and peacefully enjoy the apartment I pay for. I have called the police more than five times. The problem is that by the time the police arrive, whatever I am experiencing has stopped. The officers come into my apartment, they don't observe anything happening at that moment, and they tell me they cannot determine where the disturbance is coming from. Then they leave, and later I begin experiencing the disturbances again. I have also contacted 311 numerous times trying to get assistance. I have reported the situation repeatedly because I genuinely do not know what else I am supposed to do. I
