Since then, I've called at least five times to check on the status of my return. I spoke with his receptionist multiple times and with an account/tax manager twice. I also left messages specifically requesting a call back from Brent himself. It is now December, and I still have not heard a single update. The complete lack of follow-through and communication has been incredibly disappointing, and I am now seeking a different CPA. I do not recommend this firm.

I sought out an expert individual tax preparation firm after my previous firm made several…read moreincompetent mistakes. With Brent Forbush's Big 4 CPA background I was comforted in that regard. That is considered the gold standard in accounting. Even with Forbush's significantly above market fee, I was comfortable. However, my work was delegated to an overworked newby, whom I suspect was not even a CPA. When I received an unexpected and unexplained refund check from the IRS, I brought it to his attention. He didn't know what to do, so he did nothing. The result of this inaction was an eventual penalty by the IRS. I finally obtained Brent Forbush's personal intercision with the IRS, but it was to no avail, even though the mistake was really made by the IRS. I did not get what I paid for and I have now taken my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this firm for individual tax preparation.

I met him when he volunteered to help someone else for free. That's been years ago and I switched my business to Excelsis when I moved to Nevada a while after that because I was so impressed with his helpfulness. Since that time I've sometimes been the person getting my info to them in late March and they've heroically gotten my taxes filed by the April deadline. I recently had a a very tricky tax situation that required them to research out of state tax laws to be sure to keep me legal. They totally got me through that with complete confidence that I'm a legal beagle. I could not be happier with this company and I would never consider changing accounting firms. I've been able to email questions leading up to this last situation...starting a couple years prior...and my emails were always answered promptly and efficiently. I've gone in for impromptu consults and have never been charged. I could not be happier with this company. I am ONLY a regular client. I am not personal friends with anyone here. I was just thinking about how happy I am with them and realized I'd never written a review for them. I'm surprised they do not have many many five star reviews because I'm sure they have many happy clients who have my experience. I highly recommend that if you are shopping for a GREAT CPA you make an appointment and meet Mark and MiYoo IN PERSON and judge their character and professionalism for yourselves. Mark and his assistant MiYou screwed us over severely…read more We first met with them in January 2024 and contracted his firm to do our business and personal taxes. He asked us to file an extension (which I specifically did not want to do). In July 2024 his assistant said they were complete. I asked for a phone call, and begrudgingly, his assistant sat on the phone with me going over taxes. It was then I discovered they had not completed our personal taxes yet and wanted more time. My calls were ignored over the year. When I finally spoke on the phone with Mark on September 11th he said he would have to call me the next Monday after he checked with his assistant about the personal taxes. My calls to him were ignored again after he failed to call me that Monday. Today October 11th (taxes are due on October 15 for extended filings) after I reached out to him again, he sends me an email stating that "I presumed you had changed accountants." Once I finally got him on the phone he ended up hanging up on me twice. He blocked me out of my tax portal so I have no access to my information, left me stranded with little time to find another accountant, and blames me for "poor planning." I had all of my information to him in March so he could file by April. Do not hire this man. Save yourself all the stress. Warn your friends and family. He is demanding I pay for a service that was never complete! He was neglectful, failed to preform contacted services, and is going to cost me a lot of money in fines and lawyer fees. Stay far way from him.

Then when I was audit due to a mistake in filing status Kenneth accused me of lying about my filing status. Most definitely the worst service I have ever paid for. Find a real professional. Bunny ranch girls beware of him, my taxes were full of mistakes. Which caused a lot of delays, more money spent to other tax professionals to revise all of his mistakes and misunderstand of tax law.
