They would not permit me to do that stating it's "unsafe" and that I would need to come back when I had insurance.

I have had countless religious issues and she knew of this. in my last session she continued to tell me to go to church, and asked if I believed in god. I said no and she kept questioning me about it. I thought it was extremely unprofessional. after a few months of nothing changing, and the church issues, I decided to not return. Later I found a new psychiatrist surprise surprise it was bipolar. The whole experience with this lady was horrible! There was another instance where she made me scared to apply for disability services at my college, and now I finally applied to it, but i was to late all because she made me scared to submit an application. overall horrible experience and I cannot believe she is a professional. I do not recommend this place at all. I'm lucky to have found a psychiatrist who finally helped me at a different firm.

You and the doctor should come up with your treatment plan together. In all the cities I've lived I have never been treated like a pariah like I was here. I was not treated with respect. They adhered to the stigma bad mental health puts on people. They do to you whatever they want and forget about you suffering at home in silence becoming worse in your mental anguish and THEY DO NOT CARE.
