We were looking for a sweet treat after seeing a movie at the nearby Alamo Drafthouse, and as we drove around we saw Frozen Spirals and had to stop! The inside is adorable with colorful walls and the amazing looking freezer display of all the ice cream flavors. Once you choose your ice cream flavor/s, the staff goes to work flattening it out into a roll, adding in the toppings you've picked, and then rolling and rolling into little curls that make almost a "bouquet" of ice cream! It's super neat to see the process and even better to TASTE it. I got the coffee base ice cream with caramel syrup and Oreo crumbles (and a smiley marshmallow on top)! My husband got the horchata ice cream base with brownie mixed in and just whipped cream on top - it was also amazing! Amazing icecream loved it. besides finding hair in the food which was horrible. Workers smell like weed but they're very kind.

My tween daughter really wanted to try rolled ice cream so this was the closest place I could find at the time. It was spur of the moment so I didn't have a chance to do my Yelp research beforehand. Upon entering, I thought it was nicely decorated and the employees were very friendly. My daughter picked a small original with strawberry mix in, cookie straws, and whipped cream. The total was a little under $11. I can't get over the extremely high price. There was only an option for small or regular but really they should also have a kids size. The small was way too much for her. Anything and everything (mix-in, topping, syrups) was an additional $0.55 each on top of the high base price. It was fun to watch them make the rolled ice cream and the finished product was super cute, but I won't be returning based on price alone. We might check out other rolled ice cream shops next time though. read more

This place is trash. Wife and I ordered two expecting to be in and out. They take our order, we pay, and then the cashiers says we have a couple orders in front of you but failed to mention they were going to make 10+ Uber eats orders which took over a half hour. After waiting 30 minutes from time of ordering, we witnessed two guys go in without masks talk with their friend behind the counter. The two "friends" proceeded to stick their head over the glass where our ice cream was being made to talk to the employee. The employee brought our first ice cream out and we asked him to ask the guys to step away from where our food was being made. He went inside and sarcastically yelled at his friends to step away. They did go outside. I didn't want to write a bad review because I know how hard it is to be a business but this needs to be addressed. I will happily take down orthis review if I see that a training has been put in place to prevent this from happening again in the future. ****UPDATE**** I was not contacted by anyone representing the company but I was harassed by a few different Yelp accounts because of my review. I am so happy I found this place! It is such a unique twist on a classic dessert. They have many signature options to choose from or you can create your own! We chose monkey business and mint to be. Monkey business was banana and Nutella while mint to be was a mint Oreo and chocolate sauce. You also got to pick one complimentary topping, yum!! They were both delicious, the mint to be was richer than the monkey business. It's so fun to watch them "make" your ice cream. My favorite part besides the delicious ice cream was the spoons! They have color changing spoons which I love since I'm still a kid at heart. The little details just make your experience so much more special and unique. I also think this is a local family owned small business, which I love to support. I believe both the owners were working when I visited. This lil place is so cute, wonderfully decorated. I'd never heard of ice cream spirals and found out from the owner they are a street treat in Thailand. Twas AWESOME! Went on a cold day but who cares! Got a coffee base with chocolate syrup. She made a Swan! I didn't get a picture of it, but it was so cool! Four toppings we got more chocolate syrup, banana, and whipped cream. Strawberry would have been better than getting the whipped cream. The consistency was awesome! Creamy and a little of that frozen taste to it. Having the syrup IN the spirals made for having some topping throughout the ice cream. The color changing spoons they give out are so cool! They're going to be something I collect, lol. They change colors when it's cold. There is a water dispenser with fruit in it. Free water is always nice. I legitimately don't understand the appeal of this place. While everyone was (eventually) friendly it took at least 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me and probably another 5 for them to take my order with no line. I would describe it as stale even though that isn't really relevant to ice cream, but that is essentially how I feel about it. A note on toppings: I got sour gummy worms for mine and Oreo for my boyfriend. What that meant was three small gummy worms for me (why even bother) and one entire Oreo just sitting on top of the ice cream for him. More of an accompaniment than a topping? It's good for the money and I'll definitely be back, so many choices. Be prepared for a wait, we waited 25 minutes just to get two ice creams. It's nothing more than the boys working can only work so fast. Get those boys some help (they're hiring by the way). The two boys working 7/23 evening did such a good job handling the crowd, and making orders correctly. They absolutely did the best they could and didn't give up. When we left the line was out the door. We'll definitely go back. But maybe during a less busy time. I have found that Denver's cup runneth over with fabulous ice cream spots and Frozen Spirals definitely doesn't disappoint. I absolutely love ice cream, but can't handle anything that's overly sweet (sensitive teeth). But when I saw that they had a s'mores flavor I could NOT resist. I love just about s'mores anything and am obligated to try it wherever I go. ;) Sometimes ice cream of this variety ends up with a weird texture, which I didn't experience at all. It was so so good, I am having a hard time sleeping cause I'm craving it right now!!
