Came in for a quick lunch date. As always, we are seated fast. Our server was quick and checked on us every chance she walked by. I ordered the garlic chicken fettuccine and the wife ordered the Bolognese and shared a salad. Two glasses of wine too. Everything was delicious, we took what we didn't eat home and had dinner. I would recommend Frugatti's.

The food here was so delicious! I normally do not go for Italian Restaurants but this place was truly great! Our server was amazing also. She really took care of us and made everyone feel like if we were home. The restaurant was very busy and lively. Great for family dinners or friends get togethers. I will definitely be coming back.

This review has been a long time coming. We've been coming to Frugattis since it was at the other location. This location has much better parking and is large and beautiful inside. The hostess and waiters/waitresses are always on top of it and are knowledgeable in the menu and are friendly. Today Dawn helped us and she was great. She was sweet and kept our drinks full as well as made sure we had everything we needed. You will get complimentary bread to start. The food is always great. I usually order the Alfredo with any pasta and it's always perfectly slurpable. The beverages are tasty including the cocktails that get the job done. This place just feels like home and is our favorite Italian restaurant in Bakersfield. Note: You can call ahead to see if you can reserve a spot or be put on the waiting list to minimize your wait during their busy hours.

We headed to Frugatti's on Brimhall and it was a great choice. Started with the house salad--fresh and perfectly dressed--then dove into their pepperoni pizza. The crust was spot-on, wood-fired goodness with just the right char. But the real standout was the bread they bring to the table. So fresh, warm, generous portions--could've made a meal out of it alone. Service was friendly and on point, keeping everything moving smoothly. The ambience nails that cozy, authentic Italian vibe--feels welcoming and romantic without trying too hard. Love the setup at the Brimhall spot: nice bar area, spacious takeout section (handy for busy nights). We're already planning the next visit. Definitely a new favorite in Bakersfield.

Stopped at this restaurant after a work day and I love the decor inside! We were seated fairly quickly and even the food came out fast. Our food was huge! Everything is delicious. I hope to come back to this restaurant the next time I'm in town for work. :)

Finally went to the new location. Ambiance is really fun- big and festive and loud and Italian I went with a friend on a Saturday night and it was some high schools winter formals so there was a long wait and lots of groups of high schoolers, we didn't mind we were fine to wait. We were seated about 25 mins after putting our name in. Our server was stretched a little thin so we'd see her and then she would disappear for a while. I had the fettuccine with filet tips and my friend had tortellini. I had a Chardonnay to pair with my fettuccine. We got fresh warm bread to the table with better which was delicious and had not to devour before our food arrived. I was a little surprised they didn't have more wine by the glass options but I missed their first page of reds and only saw the whites and special Italian wines but even still didn't seem like a ton of nice wines for a nice Italian restaurant My fettuccine was creamy and really hot. The steak tips with it medium and really seasoned well. The Chardonnay was a little sweet, and not my favorite, forgot the name of it but there were only 3 to choose from. We ended with lemon ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Both were super delicious. I think they've upped their desert game. So good.

My sis in law recommended this place and it was a total hit! After a long drive we came in hungry on a Saturday night and the restaurant was completely full. The wait time was about 40 minutes so we found a spot at the bar and hungry as we were, ended up having dinner there. Portion sizes were very generous and make it easy to share. We ordered way too much food, as usual, and loved our time spent there. At the end of the meal, I was intrigued by the keto cheesecake, and I can honestly say it was the only thing I had that wasn't so good. It came as a small tarte, and had a really bitter flavor to it. I would not recommend it! Everything else was delicious and was plated beautifully. Service was top-knotch, and parking was plentiful as they share a lot with the adjacent hotel. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town!

3.50* I'm not a pasta person. I personally think it's a waste of calories and stomach space. I could think of other foods I'd much rather indulge myself in. However, my wife and children are fanatical about pasta. So, while visiting Bakersfield I decided that I'd find a pasta restaurant that they'd enjoy. Fruggati's was highly regarded. The restaurant itself is amazing looking. The olive trees that decorate the restaurant were beautiful. It was very well lit without being overly bright. Our server was very efficient, and my wife did feel bad because she did have her come to our table more than we normally do with servers. Now to the food. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. Not my favorite thing. It was super briny tasting due to the cappers. It could be my lack of experience with authentic Italian cuisine, but every bruschetta I've had previously was more on the sweet side due to the olive oil and balsamic. This one did not have balsamic, and that may well be how bruschetta is supposed to be served. As my main I ordered the artichoke, bacon, and cherry tomato pizza. I was really looking forward to it and was a little disappointed. It tasted fine. My issue was the pizza dough. I'm more of a thinner and crispy dough type of person. This was more napoleon style. Very soft and floppy. The toppings would just slide off. I guess this was more of a fork and knife type pizza. To be fair the dough was very fresh tasting and under different circumstances or as a bread option it'd be killer. As a personal preference I didn't care for it as pizza dough. If you love pasta please do not let my review deter you. I'm not the audience for this place but it may be worth it for you to try.

Another great experience at Frugatti's. A huge shout out to Elliot for not only keeping up with our large group on the pario, but doing it with humor and style. Awesome service! Everyone loved their food, and the friendly atmosphere really made the evening enjoyable.

I highly recommend Frugattis's for the warm hospitality and flavorful and delicious Italian cuisine. My friend and I went to dinner tonight and had an exceptionally nice dining experience. Our waitress was extremely sweet, professional, and friendly. She was knowledgeable and answered any questions we had (I needed help picking out a wine and her suggestion of the house wine was excellent). I believe her name is Kenia . Thank you! Both my friend and I enjoyed our meals as well. My friend tried the chicken piccata and I ordered the lasagna. Everything came out smoothly and timely. We had time to enjoy our appetizer; a particularly flavorful and satisfying bruschetta. One of the best I've tried in a while. My Caesar salad was refreshing. The portions are quite large compared to previous restaurants I've tried and this was a nice surprise. As for entrees, My lasagna was savory and filling with a good balance of meat, sauce, and cheese. The chef prepared it to perfection and I enjoyed sharing it with my friend, who also enjoyed it. I wish I would've taken a picture. It was a large portion as well. I shared nearly 30% of it with my friend and still had plenty to take home. She loved her chicken piccata. The flavors were balanced, and nicely buttered, mixed with a splash of lemon zest. The sauce over the asparagus was lightly creamy, almost like a silky golden brown coat that blended the flavor without being too heavy or too much like gravy. Finally, the cannolis! These were absolutely heavenly. Satisfying crisp, peppered and drizzled in chocolate, and filled to the brim with a light, fluffy, lush ricotta cream. Mixing the cream with the chocolate produced a lovely mousse. The proportions were great for two people. Also, the price point was reasonable, given the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and fantastic hospitality. 11/10.

Do you take reservations for a party of 6-7? For tonight Sunday

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

They are not unless they are a real service dog,

Wondering if the meat served is Kosher?

To be honest not sure give them a call

    Do you sell gift cards?

    Yes

How is the noise level? Can you hear each other or do you have to yell?

I think because of the high ceilings, the sound doesn't boom. It's loud enough for a family with little ones to not have to shush constantly, but quiet enough for a couple to have a regular toned conversation.

Is there a bar or lounge?

No, not like what you are thinking, I'm sure. There are two small bar areas but there is very limited seating near them.

Hi there! I was going to probably place an order for some family TO-GO dinners. It says feeds 5, &I need to feed 15. However, the portions for one alone are plenty for 2! Has anyone on here placed one of those meals,& would 2 orders be plenty for 15?

May seem a bit odd, has anyone eaten here that is on weight watchers? Trying to figure out points, going there for a get together soon. TIA.

If you check out the website it should show the Ralph's fitness menu which has calorie count and what not

Hi! Are there gluten free options?

Yes!! The best!!! I am celiac and I get the best GF pasta and pizza here. The baked chicken dinner is also incredible, just have any veggies cook in the oven, so they're not dropped to cook in the same area the pasta is.

Are you allowed to bring your own wine, if so what is the corkage fee?

Yes you can bring your own wine. The corkage fee is $12.

Is any of their pasta housemade?

Yes they make all there pasta. It is absolutely authentic as it gets!

Is Frugatti's better than Olive Garden? If so, how?

Yes!!! It's local and fresh! All the specialty dishes are unique. The food is more flavorful.

I would like to host a bridal shower lunch in the wine cave for about 25-30 guests in February or March. What do your rates run for renting that room out for a party?…

I would call the restaurant or go in and speak with a manager for this information.

The pasta was very al dente, something neither my daughter nor I are used to and now that we have tried al dente I can say I we are not fans. Shrimp scampi was a tad salty and oily, but the shrimps were cooked to perfection. Nothing special about the desserts. I am a huge fan of carrot cake and tiramisu and both were very underwhelming, especially the lemon tiramisu. The raspberry tea was good. The coconut shrimp were good. The egg thingy with peas was surprisingly delicious the flavor was there and it was cooked to perfection. The white pasta sauce was very bland. I am not Italian, but I felt very offended that anyone would pass this off as authentic. Firstly, the garlic bread- picture the smallest loaf of French bread possible, sliced up with tiny pieces of cheese melted on it. Where's the garlic? At least it was soft I guess. But the biggest insult was the chicken Alfredo. It was like they just cooked the noodles, chopped up a microwaved piece of raw chicken, got some sauce from the supermarket and called it a day. You can see exactly how bland it looks in the picture I provided. Oh, but it gets worse- not only was the sauce flavorless, but the chicken was undercooked. It was so sickening that I instantly threw the food away and resolved myself to write up this review as a WARNING to the community. Do. Not. Dine. Here. Again, if you need any more proof, please check the images I provided.

First time here, only came after 9pm beacuse I was hungry and alone lol…read more I had no idea this place turns into a night club or is a night club after certain hrs. This establishment didn't offer table service, all qr code and get up and get it yourself if your thirsty. That was a real turn off, especially when I got up to get drink #2 my food was gone when I was returning to my table. This place would've got 5 stars but the whole get up and get it yourself was a huge deal breaker. I ordered off the menu that was offered but I had seen online they do offer different food, so maybe after certain hrs they shut kitchen to just finger food. I got the bbq bacon burger with garlic fries and a side of onion straws. Burger 10/10 perfectly cooked, well seasoned and good size for the price. Garlic fries were ordered with NO SALT and they got it right 10/10! Onion straws also ordered with NO SALT and they got it right 10/10! Ranch 10/10. I ordered a drink called Hazelnut Chi Chi 100% 10/10! The only issue I have with the drink is that the menu says $11 but my bill showed $12.50, that is $1.50 they did not mention prior to me ordering the drink. As I mentioned after receiving my second drink and turning atound to return to my table my FOOD WAS GONE! My bartender did take care of me though so shout-out to the young man wearing the tuxedo shirt. He got my order remade to go. Other than being super loud because of live dj it is a cool little spot to have some awesome food. I do recommend and I will go back. P.s. they have rewards so don't forget to sign up.

We came here the other night during a weekday and tried their DIY pasta special…read more The server recommend we try the pesto mixed with the alfredo, so we took his word and yup he wasn't messin around! That combination was fire. We ordered one with shrimp and penne, and the other with chicken and linguine. I also upgraded my adult beverage to a non-alcoholic drink, the raspberry no-jito to be specific ~ He offered to change up the fruit but I love raspberries so I ordered it as is. It actually contains zero proof spirits, so it does sort of taste like alcohol vs just some juice mixed with soda. It was actually refreshing so I'd be down to try the other flavors on the next visit. Service was super quick, friendly vibes all around, restroom was clean, and the restaurant noise levels were good enough for us to still have a convo. My only suggestion would be to grill those big ol shrimp at a higher temperature, the charred flavor would have really turned that pasta into an A plus. Other than that, we had a cool experience and we'll be back!

Our experience was definitely a little rocky at first, but it definitely turned around. The…read moresweetest server ever, Sidney-- who was busy serving her tables noticed that we had been sitting in the waiting area for a long period of time. It seemed like the host hand was unable to handle the traffic coming in. She apologized and assured us that we would be helped. We were so appreciative. I hope management takes initiative in giving the present hosts the additional resources or training they need to be successful. I also hope awesome individuals, like Sidney are being recognized for going above and beyond.

Busy at 5pm, we had reservations for 11 of us for another Birthday. First thing I noticed when I…read moreentered was all the waiting customers and the aroma of garlic which perked me up. We had a short 15minute wait. Jasper our waiter greeted us after being seated Drinks were brought out appetizers ordered salads and warm bread sticks soon followed. Jasper our waiter very cool Chicken Parmesan, for me and a 6 ounce sirloin cooked medium well for my wife Chicken tortellini chicken looked delicious as well I was impressed. Wife's medium steak was brought out super rare, Jasper apologized and returned it to the kitchen but he forgot about it he apologized again, when it finally came out, it was cooked perfectly this time, but very late. OG was very busy, all the dinners looked very appetizing no complaints. We went through a few bowls of their appealing salad and many addicting bread sticks. Jasper and a helper were kept busy. We brought an ice cream cake and were provided plates and forks. OG was very accommodating. No more birthdays hopefully for a while I'll return to OG again but probably on a weeknight
