Overall it's good but may not be worth the trek from the hotel zone. The focus is food with the perimeter stores being clothing and trinkets. Less vendor of touristy t shirts and hats than Mercado 28 but should be fine. Triangular place with stall along the edges and parking all around. Bustling grocery store with lines outside or inside to pay, which is nice because it's popular! Weigh your nuts and grains and veggies/fruit. There was a lady giving samples of fresh hummus and something else. I asked about salsa fresca (though I saw some nice looking jarred salsas). She suggested making it myself with a handful of ingredients found at the store. I did, and it was fantastic. Around the store and outside, there were also festive decorations that would be fun to get, if you're so inclined. I like grocery stores, especially when they are unique to their neighborhood. DAC fulfills the promise of a fun time shopping for things you need and maybe also for things you want.

Good selection of fruits and vegetables - we love the guavas, mangos, and carrots the most! They taste so fresh and more flavorful than what we get in the US. Decent selection of meat, dairy, snacks, cereal, etc too! They have a bakery (with fresh tortillas), pharmacy, a touristy area (bathing suits, shirts, souvenirs, etc), and an area that has prepped food items. They also have a decent alcohol/beer area. Prices are way better than what they charge at the hotel (though you're likely paying for convenience there). Highly recommend this treat to pick up items! This is on the top floor of a shopping mall, though the mall itself has few store these days.

It's located in a shopping mall that seems to be having some occupancy issues, but has an absolutely beautiful atrium, with a decorated dome, fountains- It's amazing! The shopping is a bit rough- it's not exactly the cheapest place to shop in Mexico. It's not the most expensive- that honor seems to belong to the other grocery up the road a mile or two and the Cancun Pointe. The aisles are a bit jammed together, and they certainly cater to the gringo tourista. They have new swimsuits, hats, sunglasses, plenty of cerveza, tequila, mixers, and food. A bakery section offers pan dulces and a variety of things to make sandwiches with. There's a bunch of bottled water, and everything you need to feel at home. I kinda don't care for how they seem to organize this place- whatever they're doing, I haven't figured it out yet. The prices were okay, the selection okay. Okay!

The second floor is half alcohol. There is also a bar where you can get an alcoholic beverage while you shop! They do custom birthday cakes on the second floor, too, so no need to pay exhorbitant hotel prices to celebrate a loved one's special day! Entire cakes here are $17-$20! Definitely bring your own shopping bag & be prepared to tip the bagger a few coins at checkout. You can pay by card or even US dollars, but change is in Mex pesos. Great place!
