It's what you'd expect from a take away, but I found the skin was crispy (which is pretty much half the battle in my book) and the guys behind the counter were chipper and efficient. Overall, it was a bit too greasy for my liking, but it'll definitely hit the spot if it's what you crave after a night out on the sauce. If faced with the option of Roosters or anywhere else for post-night out grub, I'd probably choose a Mc Donald's Quarter Pounder or a Subway sandwich. To its credit, it's open pretty late, which comes in handy when you've ravenous in the Bay and Tesco's et al are all closed.

It seems to be open much later than anywhere else and really saves on arguments for big parties as they have a bit of everything. I'm not particularly adventurous at that time of night, so I tend to go for chips, but whoever I'm with seem to come out with a real mixture - pizzas, deep fried things with chips and kebabs are all on offer so something to please everyone. And we keep going back so it must be good! The only downside is that it is really out of the way for town and not really near anything. Lucky for me a fair few of our party don't drink so always drive and it provides a sedate and trusted alternative to the carnage of Caroline Street.

I personally used to love the chicken satay and sticky ribs that come with the hors d'oeuvres. Tonight 26th June 2015 I visited again and bought two special curries and chips for my sister and myself. We drove about 8 mins to home and immediately sat down to eat. I was disgusted at the chips. Both bags had lovely chips on the top of the bag but underneath those nice chips were dark hard overdone reheated chips that were inedible. I am angry that this was done deliberately just to save a few pence and use up previously cooked chips and then reheated. Many were literally just solid hard shavings of what was once a nice chip. I did not like the slyness. I did ring and complain but was assured that chips are cooked to order and did I eat them immediately. I have used Chinese takeaways for over 40 years and they were the worst chips I have ever had. The fact that nice fresh chips were on the top of the bag was obvious they were aware of what they were doing, this I do not like. I will not use this takeaway again and told the owner over the phone that they have immediately lost at least 10 new customers and god knows how many more they would have got from those 10 and all to save a few pence. Disappointed. By the way the special curry was lovely but spoiled.

It's a local chippy so out of town and maybe a little out of the way but easy to park up by on Caereithin Square so definitely worth a regular venture(just as well it's not too close to me or could prove far too tempting!!!). Very handy for Penlan leisure centre so it can prove a stumbling block in the getting fit swimming, gym trips!! Luckily you can always turn out of Penlan LC to the left and head home past less tempting places!!

This has been removed from all my locals and has been replaced by a bland bean burger, bean Pitta and bean wrap. As a vegetarian bean burgers are constantly shoved in our faces as the only option. I was dissapointed to hear that my friends Chicken Butterfly was going to take 25 minutes, so as a good friend I kindly voulenteeted to torture him and get my food first. The chicken was quite nice and good qualify, and it was a nice, juicy piece however this was sadly ruined by how spicy if was, they did coat it with the medium peri-peri coating but it was so much, it tasted like I had ordered extra hot, which ruined the meal abit for me. The portion sizes here were huge, for example my friend's Chicken Butterfly was double what it normally is and nearly got a full loaf of garlix bread, meanwhile I got 4 large Chicken Thighs and more chips than I could count. The staff seemed nice enough but the service was slow, having to wait to be seated despite there being no one waiting and then for a tablw, despite obviously tables being free, although I accept thr fact they were quite busy. Overall this Nando's stores look nice but the huge amounts of everything are just off-putting, making the spices even a lot hotter than what you asked for, while consisering issues with waiting, I sadly feel this branch has only done enough to warrant two stars.
