Great view, good coffee and excellent light lunches!…read more And yes, they also have a great range of chocolates and gelato. One of our regular spots, the view on the edge of the range is enough to give it five stars. They have the other side of the deck, next to The Edge. But there is much more to this place, they provide the second best coffee in Montville with a very friendly service and are open daily. Coffee is served with a small chocolate to start your day with a smile. They also have the second best scones with jam and cream, fresh from the oven. If you can withstand those, the range of pastries and cookies may get you. And light breakfast and lunches are served until 3 pm. You have to try the acclaimed sausage rolls, although my personal favourite is the chicken and brie pie. All served with a small salad.

Everything was fresh, simple, and exactly what you hope for when you're wandering through Montville. What I appreciated most was the kindness of the staff. Warm and genuinely welcoming. It's a family‑run place, and you can feel that in the way they look after people -- not in a big showy way, but in those friendly, easy moments you have with the whole team. If you're passing through Montville, it's a lovely spot to sit for a while and take everything in -- and honestly, what a view. I'm so glad I stopped, and I think you will be too.

The big brekky, bruschetta and eggs benedict dishes were perfect for our Saturday morning meal. It's self service for water but we didn't know it. Oops. Service in general was lovely. We took home our scones to each later as a nice flaky snack.

The restaurant if everything else is closed in the area go to Woolworths, grab something to eat and find somewhere to sit and enjoy the view. Ordered the food and drinks easily enough. The drinks were brought to the table and two of them promptly but accidentally spilt down my back. The waiter was very apologetic and promptly gave me two towels and offered complimentary drinks or a meal. We asked for both as two drinks had been spilt and I was unable to change my top or skirt which was now see through. The manager then came over and told me that 'accidents happen and it did not warrant a free meal, but coffee was a reasonable request'. So now I am irritated and wet so the food really needed to impress me. I had ordered the shrimp salad. Presentation was lovely, taste unfortunately bland and as it was served in a bucket not very practical. My husband had a chicken schnitzel which was over seasoned. The lamb gnocchi was more lamb than gnocchi. The steak sandwich was 'not my favourite sandwich ever'. I later spoke to the manager to tell her that what upset me more than anything was her telling me 'accidents happen'. She immediately went on the defensive and told me I should not speak like that to someone in the hospitality industry. Conclusion my value as a customer was worth $2.10 (business cost). You guessed it we won't be back.

I ordered the Organic Acai Berry Sorbet, which is visually very colorful and appealing. Although I loved the flavor combinations of the crunchy granola, seasonal fruit, and berry sorbet, I found the texture of the sorbet slightly too icy for the dish. I found myself trying to make the sorbet melt faster so that I could enjoy a smoother bite, but I also know the dish is named "sorbet" and not "smoothie bowl" for a reason. Regardless, I did enjoy the dish as a whole and my boyfriend loved his Toasted Muesli. As lunch time approached, I noticed that servers were marking all the tables on the balcony as "reserved". If you plan to come for the view, try to make a reservation in advance.

My husband ordered the Big May (Big Breakfast) and I ordered the Falafel dish. The bacon and halloumi included in the Big May and my falafels were overcooked and dry - it was as if the food had been cooked earlier and then recooked when we ordered it. The presentation and seasoning was lovely though so maybe the kitchen was just having an off day!

I had the traditional chicken parmi with chips and salad, and a glass of sav blanc. The parmi was excellent, generous amount of chicken and not too dry. And they are doing something magical with the chips. My better half had the ribs which were very tasty and filling. The serving size looked generous enough for a family of four. We will now walk home, very slowly, and sleep off this Sunday lunch. PS life music on Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday lunch time.

The middle of winter in the Sunshine Coast hinterland brings out a cold that seeps into your bones. But the warmth of the fire combined with the warmth of the atmosphere kept us comfortable throughout the evening. We were seated quickly and were positively salivating at the menu. There's a LOT of awesome there. Once ordered, we grabbed some drinks and settled in for a wait. The place was quite busy, so we thought it would be a while. And we thought wrong. Entree's were out extremely quickly. The Oysters Kilpatrick were perfect, with a beautiful spicy kick. The sea scallops on pea puree with chorizo and a chilli jam were an absolute stand out. I could eat those things until I died. The mains came out just as quickly, which I was actually a little bummed about. I generally like a few minutes between courses, just to settle. But that's just me. Confit duck leg with parsnip and leek puree with ham and cheese croquettes with spiced plumbs. Oh my god. This beautifully cooked, French style dish with these three deep fried croquettes seemed so alien at first, but it worked so amazingly well. Duck was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin, and the croquettes just exploded with flavour. But my wife! She ordered the pork belly with spiced orange marmalade and caramelized sweet potato. First of all, I have never tasted pork belly as nice as this. Secondly, it was absolutely massive! It was twice as big as any portion of pork belly I have ever had before. Between the two of us, we could not finish it off. I was ashamed and undone. Ultimately, there was nothing here I didn't like. Beautiful atmosphere, great food, nice and quick, huge portions. It's a little expensive, but for what you're getting it's great value. It's a 'must visit' if you're ever up in Montville.
