Second time come in here for dinner and the view is really nice. This place is on the upper side of pricey. And the menu is not that Big. But the food is OK. My only knock on this place is the seating. If you're planning out having dinner they will try to sit you on the fire pit, which is not a good place to have dinner. Just giving you a heads up. The House will try to sit here. Just talk to the servers and they will accommodate you better than he does.

I have been here several times, including staying at the hotel 2x during the pandemic. I have never eaten anything that wasn't delicious. The atmosphere is amazing - gorgeous water views. The property theme is well represented throughout, including at Fuego. The service is always friendly and professional but sometimes a little slow. I haven't ever had it be unacceptably slow, though, just laid back. I will continue to frequent even when not staying at the hotel. Totally recommend!

Loved the view here and haven't been back for awhile. It got upgraded in outside and the menu. The service could use abit more friendlier since he was not that friendly or attentive as I would hope for. Had to catch him couple of time for ordering (especially when it's not that busy from the beginning). Menu is smaller than I remembered but still varies choices. Foods are okey, nothing special and for the prices, you know you're paying for the views more...and is it worth it? You could bring foods and use the grass area in-front with same view and closer to the water or sideway for free. Drinks are goods, could be better, again with that price. Parking is not free, you can get validated and cost $5 but if there is a cashier at the parking lot. I had to paid $45 for 3.5hrs for it. And they automatically added the service fee 20% (which I would normally give or better) to the bill. Was abit disappointed but with views and weekend, I try not to think much of it.

I'm going to start out with the positives. This restaurant is beautiful. It's right on the water with fire pits for added ambience. Now for the negatives, we were staying at the Maya Hotel and after a long drive we were ready for a couple drinks. We walked in, found two seats at the bar, sat down and the waiting begun. The bartender finally came over to provide menus and then went MIA for 5ish minutes before he took our drink order. I ordered the margarita and my husband ordered the tropical eclipse. The drinks came out fairly quickly but didn't taste as advertised. The menu listed the margarita as a top shelf with premium tequila, Cointreau, agave and lime but tasted like a premade margarita with not much alcohol. The eclipse was not much better. It just kept getting worse, no chips and salsa and after we got our drinks, we didn't see the bartender for 30 mins. This is not the quality of drinks or service I would expect for at an $18 price point with an auto 20% gratuity added on top. The bill for 2 mediocre drinks was $48, outrageous. I will not be coming back to Fuego and will also be picking a different hotel to stay at as this location is pretty isolated and we often want dinner and drinks when we're in town. Very disappointed!

I can speak in my own experience I went last night before going to the queen mary dark harbor as it's down the street And I had been here maybe 15 years ago or so and I had a great experience then And today was same Located inside hotel maya You do get validation of parking which is good but still paid $5 for being there an hour so there's that I guess but going back I had great service overall it was attentive and everyone was nice Forgot to take a pic of the view which included the queen Mary but the tacos we ate where meaty and delicious with flavor Drinks were good and guacamole was too Overall great meal and time and ambience eating outside

Between passings and relocations, our family Christmases are looking different these days, and trying to cobble together a big family holiday like the days of yore is just an exercise in depression - all we see are the faces missing. So my son, his partner, and my BFF have started a new tradition of going to Fuego each Christmas (well, for the past two, anyway), and both times have been great. But really, I'm offering this review because of the nachos. I am not an "appetizers" person, and I am definitely not a nachos person. I mean, they're fine, but not something I often seek out (unless it's 1a, I'm hammered, and Taco Bell is the only thing open). But these nachos... I'm going to dream of them. Big fat spicy jalepenos, and the cheese, omg, the cheese. I mean, seriously, stop what you're doing and go to Fuego and order the nachos. I ordered the salmon as an entree (pictured; I'm also not a food-picture-taker, but this one merited being That Person in the restaurant), and it was similarly excellent - and the serving and its complements were so generous that I was grateful I didn't order a side. They also serve the best margarita I've had this side of Mexico, and their expresso martini (yeah, I'm a BB that way) was the best I've ever had, hands down. If it wasn't $21, I would've had three. Instead I opted for one, and two $18 margs. Ha. Service was fantastic, though I think our server got a little frustrated/confused when after three stops by the table and two rounds of drinks, we still hadn't stopped talking long enough to make our decisions. Finally, I rallied the troops to actually figure it out so that the fourth time he came by, we were ready. But, he was ever patient with us, and super friendly. I wish I'd gotten his name so I could call him out here. ANYWAY. It's a trick getting there - yes, I did end up going over the bridge, after not trusting my nav and remarking to my friend that I was scared of ending up going over the bridge. Then... on the bridge. I HATE driving over bridges, especially that one. It's still a little confusing, even if you aren't dumb like me; you have to wind your way around a little bit, but it's not so difficult that you should avoid going. Parking is validated - or at least, was today. I'd give them five stars, but for my lack of experience on any day that isn't a major US holiday, I feel like I have to err on the side of that lack of experience. Either way, Fuego is awesome. Big hearts to them for a fun afternoon. It's been a minute since I've spent more than an hour in a restaurant, but the only reason we left after three was because my son's newborn finally woke up hungry. :)

Absolutely loved dinner at Fuego! The restaurant didn't feel crowded at all! The food was flavorful (loved the generous amount of guac they served us), the service was welcoming and attentive. Plus the ambiance struck between the balance of modern and inviting! Everything came together to create a memorable meal, and we'll definitely be back!

Honestly I don't even know how to describe the feeling this waiter made us feel. To begin with we seen this restaurant on TikTok and saw a great selection of food, however when we arrived they began to inform us they weren't a restaurant due to them closing 3 months ago and reopening; so my Boyfriend asked them do you guys have any Mac and cheese options with steak? And the waiter told us "Are you kidding me?" that felt like a slap in the face making us feel stupid for asking them what was on the menu. After that my boyfriend continued to ask for a alcoholic drink "Paloma" and he had recently broken his id so he told the waiter my bad it snapped recently I didn't have another alternative and the waiter told him " wow that's so embarrassing really" I don't know what he was going through but he was so rude, I was wearing a Mexico jersey for the World Cup I don't know if he was discriminating but it felt like it. This waiter is named "Efrain" and however the management seemed nice but I would never recommend this place to anyone the service was horrible but the food was mediocre.

Came to fuego located at Hotel Maya. Sat outside by the heaters for dinner, nice view of the water and lights, food was good definitely the portion for ceviche was larger than I expected. I asked for a half order of the fuego guacamole so they got me a side and 3 Skirt steak tacos. I was beyond stuffed. Just came off a 5hr flight and I acted like I have never eaten. I cannot complain about the food the past pictures made me worried but it looks like they've stepped up their game since some of the previous pictures I saw in the yelp reviews. Ceviche was yummy ate it all with no Chips. Food service was quick, food was good, prices are not cheap but it's the convenience of getting to your hotel and knowing you don't have to drive, catch a cab or find a restaurant after a long day. Walked the back of the hotel to my room and took in more of the site. Next day ordered room service by Fuego. Generous sized burrito with lots of condiment choices, juicy cantaloupe was the perfect pairing and a nice size glass of orange juice for the price.

If you are looking for a place that has nice views then Fuego is the spot. I had a nice refreshing drink with some chicken tacos. They were good, but they weren't hot just warm. The service was ok as it was busy. The place has lots of seating and views are great wherever you sit. I would come back fs.

My wife and I were staying at Maya which is connected to Fuego. It is traditional Mexican food with lots of flavor. They do have other options to choose from but it is limited. The burger did look good from a table across from us. Nachos are loaded up. Service was excellent as we sat down and were eating within 10-15 minutes. The selling point for us is the view we appreciated while dinning outside. Overall a great atmosphere if you are looking for Mexican food.

Yum!! We stayed at Hotel Maya for a night & got this for dinner. I got the skirt steak tacos & a just peachy mocktail, both were very good! The mocktail didn't really have a peach flavor though. The tacos were great- the steak was tender & they were loaded! Service was great, we encountered a couple servers & all were very friendly & helpful. We went about 4pm so it wasn't the full menu but they had good options regardless. If we're ever back in Long Beach, we will definitely eat here again.

Perfect day in Long Beach for a margarita and some feel-good Mexican food. No wait when we arrived. The vibe? Super chill. It struck that perfect balance between family-friendly and date-night romantic. The fish taco was missing that kick until we had a bite of the spicy pepper. Margarita was crafted well. The atmosphere was just right sunny, breezy, and relaxed. Bring your parking validation ticket and you'll only pay $5.

The fillings and salsa were good too, but it was really wet, and the bean ratio especially compared to the meat, was a little off. Always am going to want more meat. Horchata was unique since it was coconut based. Overall solid spot with patient staff. Tacos La Rueda is still better, but will be back when in Long Beach.

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! The chips/ salsa starter was addictive. Huge basket of fresh warm chips, and a salsa like no other! Chunks of veggies and just the right spice. It was hard to get those chunks on the chips but it was delicious. My carne asada was tasty, a large portion with grilled scallion and rice. I wish some of the "bean soup" had been pureed to be a bit thicker but the broth was good, with a variety of beans. Hubby's dish had an interesting flavor, very spicy. It was open seating when we arrived which majority of the tables was taken where all the television were. The main dining area had a television set up but main bar area was where the action was taking place. We got lucky as there was a table available along the wall with perfect view of the game. Of course it was rain delayed so more time to enjoy food and drinks. Also it was happy hour and taco Tuesday all at the same time. As the game was happening, one of the tequila sponsors was there offering deals. Shot and a jersey. Tony took care of us that night and he was amazing. Made sure that we got everything we needed. Very sweet as well. Happy hour menu offered a good amount of items for a great deal. As well as draft beer and cocktails. Regular menu is great as well which we've had before. Food, an order of the tostada both with shrimp and aguachili. Served with two small tostada and handful of crevice on top. Both were quite tasty and very well flavored in the juice. Also two of the street tacos with birria. They were quite small but did have a major punch of flavor to it. And well priced at 2.50 a piece. Of course the crinkle cut loaded fries with added carne asada. Seemed like it was a popular item as every table had it. It was good but a little skimpy with the topping. Lastly the chicken wings, lemon pepper flavor. Six piece tossed in the sauce. It was good but way too salty for my liking. We still enjoyed everything we had. As we got the shot with the jersey earlier, the person who was affiliated with the sponsor brand was walking around with more shot. I must say, it does hit the spot big time...lol... The crowd was lively with everyone all there for the same reason. The game and good company. First time for happy hour and it was nice. We had a great time and everyone working was the sweetest. And Tony was amazing. Took very good care of us.

I came here. Also a little later in the evening in the middle of early season Dodgers game. So I sat down at bar table with the some other folks. Nothing brings Angelenos together like a Dodgers game! I had a few beers with my tacos, and the tacos were crispy and delicious. By the end of the game, I was high-fiving with people that I considered strangers to me when the day started. Just a fun, lively vibe here on the weekend evenings with delicious food and beverages.

Palapa next door offers the same food menu but has more drink options. Many opted for outdoor seating on the terrace due to the gorgeous views, but not wanting to wait we agreed to indoor seating. The interior of the restaurant is also very beautiful. The bathrooms were too dark for my tastes though. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. Ola still exceeded expectations and provided a more than pleasant meal.

Great location, shoreline village. View of the boats, relaxing and on a Sunday, it's hard to beat…read morethe atmosphere. So I ordered a Bloody Mary and their Version is extremely sweet. So I had to return it . I the ordered a Coronita Margarita and that is/was tasty. They do have many different offerings of tequilas. And honestly fairly priced. I started with the Fondido de queso basically a Chorizo fondue. It was very good, only the chips were stale. Not all the chips so just so you know, I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The service has been very accommodating. The flavor from the mole was perfect, smooth rich a touch of heat and chocolate. Very flavorful and with the sides of black beans and rice, a tasty pairing. There is side of sweet corn , completing the plate. Great dish. I arrived at 1130 which apparently was the best time. By noon the place was packed and jumping. TVs for the games and plenty of room, so not so crowded despite the amount of people. Great place for a date , or family/friends gathering.

What an awful Tourist Trap. This is a place that once you come one, you will never return - and…read more the level of service and quality of food reflects that management knowledge. First interaction: They advertise a Happy Hour on M-F from 5-6 PM We had this interaction with a server in the bar. "Can we get an order in before Happy Hour is up?" Server "Of course. (Looking at phone the time on their phone). What would you like?" We order. Drinks are brought over along with the check for full price drinks. Me "Can you please fix this check? It's not 6 yet and you are still on Happy Hour, that's why we rushed over." Server "Oh yeah, today we don't have Happy Hour so there is no discount." Me "What so you mean, we ordered these drinks on Happy Hour and now you are telling us there is no Happy Hour as advertised." Server: "Well, we don't do Happy Hour when there is an event in the area, so they are full price." Second interaction (after waiting 45 minutes for a table in the restaurant). We ordered the "made to order table side guac" for 15.50 for an appetizer. About 10 minutes later, a guac is delivered to the table that was either run through a blender or was taken from a tub with a spoonful of pico mixed in. So much for the advertised table side experience or fresh avocado. The guac we buy at Trader Joe's and from Costco are way better. Third Interaction when ordering an entree. I order enchiladas and they have red or green sauce. I ask, Can I get both red sauce on one and green sauce on the other? Response, "well there's an extra charge for that". Besides being lied to about "Happy Hour" and about the "Table-side" Guac and them being told a basic request is going to cost extra, it's is c extremely clear that this place has no respect for their customers and no expectation that anyone will return. I know the 6 local people in our group will never return.
