I've been working out at Fuel since I moved here and I have nothing but great things to say about it. It's a convenient location for me, so I initially started with a trial and then instantly joined! The facility is clean and has every equipment you need; I've never once been without a machine I needed. It's 24hrs which is so convenient and the staff is always cleaning, helping people and so friendly- especially Dawson! My favorite part is the red light which can be hard to find. It feels so good to use before a workout. The price is fantastic and the atmosphere is very cheerful. Everyone is respectful and serious about working out and I really enjoy being here. It's the one place I feel I can go workout in public without being harshly judged, save, technically getting some help from someone on how to use the machines. Fuel took decent care of us out of towners. The local vibe was welcoming, and the staff was very kind and genuine. Despite us being out of towners we were made to feel like family while we registered. The staff took a genuine interest in our travels and itinerary which was appreciated. The facility was small, but got the job done. The locker room was big enough, but with very little privacy. I noticed a fully enclosed shower at the end and was pleasantly surprised to see a steam function, but disappointed upon further inspection to see that it was corroded, and non functional. I was really hoping for a sauna as well, I would rather have that than a tanning booth personally. Upon entering and once you exit the shower you are in the sight of anyone exiting a bathroom stall or washing their hands, which is unfortunate if you care about privacy. Overall the price was right for a day pass and I am thankful Fuel was here to take care of us. Small workout sweat towels were provided, but I did not inquire about larger shower towels. read more

So I was just in Bozeman for the day, passing through on my way to Alberta. I was glad to find out that they offered a 24 hours pass for only $8. I was there just before lunch time on a Thursday. It was crowded, but not too bad I thought. These guys had everything you need to get your workout in. Free weights, racks, machines, and tons of cardio equipment as well. The place also seemed very clean to me compared to other gyms I've been in. The crowd was mostly younger, but there were different age classes mixed in as well as people of different fitness levels. I woke up at 3 am to go to the gym and this location had switched to a different 24 hour entrance app. I download the app in the snow and it doesnt work. The system is updating or has defaulted. I sat in my truck to see if it was just my phone. 3 people were also not able to get in. Going in the morning is almost the only option for this location. This Fuel is BY FAR the most busy location in Montana. I've tried to go after work multiple times just to walk into a gym with 60+ people using every free weight available. read more

They literally allow photos and filming in the locker rooms & workout spaces at this gym. The stuff they allow people to get away with is appalling. When I go to work out and mind my business and am the star of some influencers video, report it to staff and they tell me to ignore it? Absolutely not. So uncomfortable I'll never be back they need to change the policy and crack down on respecting the patrons privacy. read more

Good price, location, and facilities. Never had any problem whatsoever getting on a machine or finding plates. One pet peeve though is weight droppers. I get it, cleans and rows are tough, but if you can't set the weights down without dropping them then you shouldn't be picking them up. Not a bad place other than that. read more

They seriously need to update their hours, it's a nice gym and I don't have any complaints about the equipment, but they constantly are closed when they are supposed to be open! This is the fourth time I have tried to stop by in the past 7 days and they have been closed! On the door it literally has it posted open 24 hours on Monday-Thursday. Please just update your hours it's a pain to get ready for the gym, drive across town in winter and then find out that the gym is closed! It wouldn't be a bother if it was just once and a while, but it's almost every time! I was on a trial membership and arrived after 5, walked in and was greeted by a very rude, snappy college aged guy who told me people who have the trial are not allowed to workout after 5, which was not made known to me at all. The gym is very clean but this guy was an a hole to me. Be weary of the trial and if you workout in the evening. Taking my business elsewhere just because of the guy. read more

Visiting from out of town, we thoroughly enjoyed our three trips to Fuel Fitness. They offer affordable week-long passes and there is a wide variety of machines, free weights and cardio options. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and attentive - it seemed like someone was always cleaning something. Also, since we were traveling we did not have any of our usual pre-workout powder or our post-workout smoothies, Fuel offers Bang and other brand energy drinks as well as a made-to-order smoothie bar. One note, their lockers are BYOL (Lock), so have a padlock with you or just trust that you're in Montana and the likelihood of someone walking off with your stuff is pretty low. I would have rated this place 10 stars if they had them. Was passing through Bozeman and wanted a real "gym" with decent equipment. Found this place online. Got a free 3 day pass even though I'm leaving tomorrow. Guy at the desk would not let me pay the $8 use fee. Super nice young man. Tons of great new equipment! They literally have every machine you need. Place was not real crowded and the regulars were in there since it was 7:30 am on a Sunday. Clean, well kept place with a lot of new machines I haven't seen before. I belong to 3 gyms back home - Lifetime, Planet and Crunch. This place stacks up better than two of them. If I lived in Bozeman this is the gym I would belong to. read more

I have been to many gyms in the Gallatin Valley and this is by far my favorite! The machines are up-to-date, clean, and working. The weights are wonderful. Not sure what to say about those. The space is light and bright with many windows. The bathrooms are clean and spacious And the staff is kind and helpful read more

I'm giving Fuel four stars, but I would probably land closer to a 3.5 if I had that option. It's location and being open 24hrs a day are both very convenient. They have plenty of cardio equipment so I rarely find myself waiting for a treadmill. I don't feel like people clean/wipe down equipment after every use, which bothers me a little bit. In general cleanliness is not bad but certainly not the most clean I've seen. There is a room with weights and equipment you can use, otherwise there isn't much free space to use. The room is great unless there are classes going on, in which case it cannot be utilized for personal use. read more

I could not rate this company low enough. In my opinion their membership practices are fraudulent. I have tried for months to get out of a membership for which I was no longer under contract. They have given me the run around and are still charging my bank account. I would recommend you run away from this business as they are unscrupulous. Management continues to dodge my calls and has avoided contact for months. There are better gyms in Bozeman!! Update: I have been contacted by the gym and reimbursed for the over charges, which I appreciate. It should have not happened in the first place though. I'm a bit disappointed in all you Fuel Fitness folks for not stepping up and defending your local gym. Maybe, Like Bryce, you just don't want anybody else to know what a great place this is..?? I first came to Fuel last August while I was here for a month visiting family. I got a month pass with little hassle, no obligations, and a very reasonable price. Within a week, several of the staff members were calling me and my wife by name. We have since moved to Bozeman and have made this our local gym. The staff is super-friendly, encouraging, and supportive. The place is well-maintained and clean. I've rarely seen any issues with the machines and they are quickly resolved. ...and I literally have no clue what Claire B. is talking about. Yes, there are some younger members at Fuel, but there are plenty of older ones, too. I'm 38 and don't feel even remotely out of place. And I've most certainly never seen the grunting contest that she claims to have been forced to witness. But, hey, I'm only there 5 or 6 days a week and maybe Claire B. is there more often.... PS - Recently tried the boot camp-style / circuit training class on Friday mornings (and some Saturdays) and it was a great workout. Highly recommend giving it a shot..!! PPS - They also have daycare available for $2.50 and the girls who work there do a great job..!! read more

Worst gym in Bozeman! Broken equipment, terrible service. It was hot, trashy, and crowded. I couldn't get on any equipment that I wanted, and it was broken most of the time anyway. The locker rooms were a wreck. And it is not 24hrs no matter what they advertise. I'll never go again. read more

A group of us joined a few years ago and they have all moved to different gyms because of various negative aspects of Fuel. Today, I was the final one to cancel my membership. The place has gradually declined in all aspects. Room to workout has become scarce, the equipment has degraded, and staff has become decreasingly helpful. I pay to use the space and equipment. Unfortunately, most of the equipment and space is bogarted by the staff/trainers during the times I'm able to go. I've been to Fuel in Billings and Helena often and both are superior spaces and generally better atmospheres than the Bozeman Fuel. read more

I've been to a lot of gyms and Fuel is nice. Lots of equipment and it's clean. I would say that it can get really crowded but overall everyone I've run into in the gym understands gym etiquette so the overcrowding isn't really an issue. Signing up was easy and the location is excellent. read more

DO NOT BUY INTO MEMBERSHIP/ GYM IS A STRAIGHT SCAM. After being very unpleased with the cleanliness of the place, and how over priced it is, I decided to cancel. I went in to speak with in house rep and after 10 minutes of computer typing and questions she told me to call a number. I call this number and after holding forever and answering a million question, I am then told to go online, where the email they sent me gave me a bunch of loops making almost impossible to cancel. Its obvious this company is designed to scam you into not being able to cancel and taking as much money from you as possible. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a gym. ever. NOW that i have to register online and make an account to cancel they then tell me that the cancel my membership is almost another 50 dollars which was more than my first month PLUS the cost i paid to enroll. THIS COMPANY IS A HUGE JOKE/ SCAM/ not worth the trouble go anywhere else unless you want to go for the biggest complication of your life. read more

Pretty much a teenager's daycare. Little Justin Biebers climbing on the machines like a jungle gym trying to be the loudest/do the most pull-ups. The staff is pretty nice but they almost encourage the behavior. The machines look fancy but are built cheaply; cables are sticky, ellipticals don't match the stride of an average human, treadmills creaky. I wish I had liked it here; it's close to my house and is really nice inside, but I couldn't hang. read more

24 hour gym, for those of us (like me) who can't work out during "normal business hours". I appreciate the heck out of this place. I love that it is always open, so I can go early in the morning or really late at night, since I work two jobs that have pretty random hours. There is always someone close to the front so I can ask any questions or get buzzed in if I forget my little key tag. The facility is always clean, including the locker room! There are plenty of lockers, and they are HUGE! Which is perfect in winter when I have snow boots and a big, fluffy jacket to cram in there. The equipment is always clean and working well, there are lots of machines to choose from, and I like going to the back room to do some of my workouts to get out of the way of people walking around. I haven't done many group classes yet, but there are lots of options available! The staff is friendly and inviting. I love going here! read more

I have been coming to this gym for awhile and it is always clean and orderly when I go in. It is well lit with natural light and comes with many amenities like a day care, and shake bar. But although I truly enjoy this gym and will continue to come I must admit that that alone did not prompt my review today. I was working out a few days ago and had just finished a incredibly long and problematic day when one of there workers noticed I was not feeling like myself. He approached me, asked how I was doing and stopped his work to completely make my day! He offered me a shake to forgo the horrendous of my day but I told him I had no money with me that day. He finished the conversation but to my surprise found me a few minutes later with a delicious shake in his hands saying that it was his treat. I was so blown away by this random act of kindness that I had to let people know about this employee. He asked me not to share his name but if you go in there ask for Mac at the desk and see your problems ratified. I was a regular customer before due to the nature of the gym but I am now a lifelong customer in hopes that this employee works there forever! read more

I don't know what the other two people were talking about saying small and wanted to write a bad review or little kids playing on the jungle gym they're probably not serious workout people because the gym is excellent for anyone really looking to seriously work out and improve their body. The gym is a decent size Gym, clean, open spaces and more cardio and weight machines than anyone would ever need to use. Staff is now triple and the trainers are extremely qualified. Was in Bozeman for a few days so a quick Google search led me to Fuel. Not only was there a free three day pass I printed directly from Fuel Fitness Bozeman's website I also searched which gyms in Bozeman I could access through my health insurance...Fuel Fitness was on the list. I arrive at Fuel after a day of driving and present my free three day pass only to be told those passes, despite being printed directly from Fuel Fitness Bozeman's website, are not being accepted at the Bozeman location. Ok, so I give the guy my insurance card and gym card issued through my insurance only to have him tell me that, in addition to the gym membership I have in my hometown, if I want to use it at Fuel I also have to buy a month membership. One would think at this point he would have said, "Look, since our website is inaccurate and I don't know how insurance works, and since you drove all the way here, just use the gym today." Nope. $8, which I would have paid if the guy working had displayed some level of competence. Will never go to a Fuel Fitness in Bozeman or anywhere else. Happily paid $10 at The Ridge and will go there for the duration of my stay. read more
