Tried out this place last night off a Groupon. From the parking lot i thought the place was kinda large but is actually pretty small when you step in. I ordered a order of crab rangoons and the spider roll. The rangoons are very tasty and good. I would of liked more for 6 dollars but would def still order them again. The Spider Roll which has Soft shell crab, crab salad, avocado and cucumber was great! The taste was fantastic and the sushi stayed together great. Well, we found our new local sushi spot! What I look for in a great sushi restaurant: family-friendly, hands on owners, daily specials, and most importantly, fresh sushi and creative rolls. I came in after my son's basketball game and the kids were starving. Get the edamame going! While we waited for our food, I enjoyed my glass of wine while the kids were entertained by the aquarium and sushi chef. Let's hang for a moment on the wine list at most sushi restaurants: can we agree that most of it is drugstore table wine? We can. That being said, I was actually pretty impressed with the wine list here and beautiful stemware it was served in. To me, that means the owners are thinking of all types of clientele, not just the ones who drink water or Japanese beer with their sushi. This is important and I appreciate that. Service was friendly and on point. Once our food came out our glasses never stayed empty and the dishes were promptly bussed. The kids inhaled the sushi and we actually ordered more, fortunately they had those great specials that evening so it wasn't too hard on the wallet. Amazing, fresh abundant sushi. The owner came out for a bit and chatted with us, very friendly and accommodating here. I'm impressed. We shall return. read more

We just ordered delivery from Fuji and it came out quickly and was delicious! The fish was fresh, and the rolls were a good size. I got the naruto roll and some sushi. Since I can't have soy right now it seemed safe, And I included that info on my order. Hubby got the chicken teriyaki bento box, which he absolutely inhaled, so I assume it was good! This was the first date night and sushi since my son was born. This place did not dissolve. I ordered the dragon roll and dance eel roll: both were tempura flash fried and the rolls were huge. They are specialty rolls and so filling. I love the crispness from the tempura and then the warm center. If I had more room in my stomach for a third roll I would ordered another. Instead of saké or beer, I chose a plum wine. It was sweet which was a nice change from a citrusy white wine. The location is in "downtown" Midlothian....not sure that's what it's called, but it's on Midlothian TPKE in the area of all brick building which gives in a small town/city feel. The interior is simple which nice lighting and small. Our server was prompt and polite. Both servers worked as a team with each other's tables. We were thinking it was a bigger inside, but sometimes the small spots are the best! My husband ordered a spicy tuna roll, salmon love roll and volcano roll. This place did not disappoint! I was really wanting to get a bento box, but seeing all the amazing sushi on the menu changed my mind! Can't wait to come back to get a bento box and try more sushi. read more

Have a great menu and are always eager to create things for you that are not on the menu. They are closed on Tuesday night so they can spend time together as a family. I wasn't expecting much but decided to try it out due to yelp reviews. They were not wrong. I got the lunch special with a regular salmon roll and the salmon lover's roll. They served very high quality sushi! It was so fresh and even my friend could tell too. It was her first remark! I am obsessed with the fish to rice ratio as they give you 90% fish and 10% rice which is way worth the price! PSA: There's also a groupon for this place too! Now you have no reason not to go! I ordered the chicken bento box and I was not that impressed. The chicken in the box was very dry and chewy and it seemed like it was frozen not fresh. The salad was good it seemed like there was a bunch of water at the bottom of the takeout box. I was missing the miso in my miso soup. The only thing I really enjoyed was the California roll. The tuna sashimi had a fishy smell to it, which kind of set the tone to my meal. It was also served in a martini glass with a glowing led light at the bottom. Looks cool but with sushi/sashimi the quality, flavor, and freshness take top priority. The slightest hint of lack of freshness is a bit off putting when it comes to sushi. We were originally trying to go to another sushi res that is highly rated in Midlothian but it is closed on Mondays so we stopped in here. We were pleasantly surprised with how delicious the sushi rolls were. We had three people with various needs- pregnant so only cooked sushi, someone else likes the toppings and crunch factor and another didn't like eel or roe. We all ended up ordering a second sushi roll to try because the first was so good and the second choices didn't disappoint. I'll mention that we had two children under 6 with us and they ate the sushi rolls and loved them as well. The service was excellent and our server who was the wife was so friendly and helpful. Sushi was good. The rolls were also delicious however the service has a lot to learn. We felt we were being rushed when there was no need for it. Tables were empty and we were there at 7pm so time was not a factor. They asked me about dessert when my guest was only halfway through her meal. They should chill and let guest eat and talk in comfort not make us feel we are a problem that must be shown the door. My rating is about food but the service needs to improve. Wish I could give it 4 stars but could not do so. Visited on Sunday and I had a Bento box (vegetables). Veggies were good, but had very little broccoli, had mostly zucchini and a little carrots & onion. For $18.00, I would have hoped that I would have gotten tons of good veggies. Especially since I ask for no rice. They should have provided more veggies. The gyoza were hard and dried out. The California roll had very little imitation crab & cucumber and were not very moist. The salad was good but had way too much dressing. The web shows $$ but I do not agree, it's even a little expensive for lunch specials, which and not served on Tuesday & Sunday. read more
