    Sushi Lunch A and Gyoza

I've been coming to Fujiyama for years, even before they added their hibachi tables downstairs. This place has amazing sushi, and delicious hibachi. Upstairs, you can sit at the sushi bar or grab a table for a date or dinner with friends or family. Downstairs the vibes are more bright and energetic with the hibachi tables and fun, friendly chefs. My brothers always pick this place for their dinners to celebrate and for me it's nostalgic. My only gripe is that with my takeout order this shrimp tempura roll had barely any shrimp in it. I'm gonna write this off as a fluke because every other experience I've had here has been great.

10/10 hibachi experience as always from fujiyama. they offer a lot of different combinations and have a kid's hibachi menu too! shrimp is my favorite, always cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. every hibachi dinner comes with soup & salad, two dipping sauces, noodles, fried rice, and mixed veg! it is a ton of food and it's all delicious. note that for kid's you get a soup only and a choice of noodles or rice. they were very accomodating for our toddler and have high chairs available. we had a great time and loved the food.

We been checking out different places in the area. I am definitely looking for some good sushi. This place came up and was recommended by many. We decided to check it out. The outside looks like a typical place, actually a place you would find in NC by the beach. I ordered a few rolls. Their specialty rolls. I believe the firecracker, cowgirl, and Philly premium. I will say they were very good. I also ordered the spicy salmon and shrimp tempura, which were ok. The atmosphere was phenomenal, beautiful, not like you would expect from the outside. The people inside were very nice, service was perfect, not overbearing or unseen they know what they are doing and check in as needed. If you are looking for sushi this is a good place. I highly recommend what they call designer rolls, because they are great. The classics are ok but not as good as other places. I definitely enjoyed it and will go back and try hibachi.

I'm so happy we went in person this time! The food is great! I loved the sushi rolls, I got spicy tuna and cucumber avocado. The fried rice is much better in person. This place has me now constantly craving hibachi. Fast service and beautiful inside. FYI ITS BYOB!

    Designer and Classic Rolls, Fantastic!!

This was a great recommendation from our friends. Note: it is a BYOB. We shared a bunch of Apps.....Veggie Gyoza, Beef Negimaki, Rock shrimp, Edamame, tempura shrimp and veggies, and citrus scallops....VERY Good! For our entree we shared a bunch of Designer and Classic Rolls. The stand outs were the Geisha roll, Cowgirl, Love Daisey, & Surf and Turf. ALL were Awesome. The Service/Staff were fantastic. Reservations highly recommended.

For apps we had salad, miso soup, and spicy edamame. Needless to say, not one was left behind. I also ordered a side of noodles and they weren't bad, but the flavor was not my preference. They had a sweeter taste than I was expecting. I'd also like to highlight that my husband noted the miso soup as one of the best he's ever had. Our drinks from the bar took some time, but not overly long. The lychee mojito was great. The service was friendly and attentive. We made a reservation online and I'm glad we did because it was definitely busy for dine in and takeout. I'd describe the restaurant as modern meets casual. I look forward to my next visit.

The interior is gorgeous, and you can't go wrong sitting at a table or at one of the bars. They also have sake here, and the selection is great! Every time I come here my meal is delicious. Everyone who works here is so friendly too. When I went recently I got the Ryujin tuna and miso soup. My husband and I also split the wagyu gyoza special and the mochi ice cream for dessert. If you're in the area you must go here!

Can't speak to the typical dining experience, but I had to share my love for this place. My partner…read moreand I took one of the cooking classes offered here today. Booking was easy online and we were provided with the menu we'd be making. Chef Jay and his staff were so friendly, and the space we cooked in was very cozy. I loved the experience of Chef Jay explaining the ingredients, helping us understand the flavors we were creating, and then getting to eat all of our delicious dishes, and of course taking home the leftovers. This event was so worth it. I would recommend this to any one of any skill level. My partner and I are by no means chefs, but our food came out perfectly. I can't wait to come back and take another class here, or stop by for dinner!

Not worth the money or the hype…read more Pandan was recommended by close friends and we love Thai and Indonesian fare so we wanted to try it. It's priced like a solid sit down restaurant one would go to and easily spend $100 for a couple or small family on appetizers and entrees. The menu is interesting and authentic. The execution for our take away meal was sub par. First, we ordered two of an appetizer (dumplings) and only one was packed in our bag (unfortunately we only noticed after we were home); it was all stuck together and ripped apart - it was unappetizing to look at but had average flavor. The other appetizer, spring rolls, was very mushy and I am not sure if made as advertised; it was listed as some shrimp rolls and some vegetable rolls, but we only got one type of roll and I don't know if there was shrimp due to the consistency of the filling. The bang bang shrimp and chicken had NO bang (heat/spice) - it's like there was no seasoning at all and again the consistency was mush; it wasn't inedible but it wasn't worth $20. We would have been much happier at a standard Chinese or Thai place versus Pandan despite its stellar reputation. I'm not sure what happened tonight. Maybe it's better to sit down and have super fresh plates hit the table versus a 15 minute drive, but, I'm not convinced. Service was excellent, apart from the missing appetizer which could be an accident, an $8 accident. Not the end of the world.
