It seems that the owners of this place has done what North Carolina has become so famous for. It's called the nickel and dime shuffle. Plan on being charged a service fee when you get here. 10.00 processing fee for most transactions you make. You would think that with all the extra fees they charge your site wouldn't flood, one heavy rain and you'er are in a Sneads Ferry lake. On to the three stars. The site isn't secured. people drive through the camp ground all night long. the Boat ramp is suppose to be private but it's not. Charter boat captains use and abuse the boat ramp at an astonishing rate. On Holidays locals use the( AKA Private) boat ramp which means they come through the camp ground. The Air B&B is another practice some were uncomfortable with. Temporary people passing in an out of the area on a nightly bases is unsettling. I under stand this is a camp ground a transient place, but its not secure and anyone can come in an out of the area at any time of the night.

Amanda was so incredibly sweet every time we talked to her. They have light but sturdy picnic tables at each lot that you can easily move around as needed and the same with the fire/grill rings. We cooked steaks on the grill ring and they turned out great. We loved meeting people inside the dog-park as well. Lots of really cool dogs get in there and run and play. We'll definitely be back.

This is the nicest park with great amenities, great management and wonderful campers! Now, we all know that there will be a bad apple in every bunch and we all know that changes are made every year. It's those changes that seem to rile people up. If you come with goodness in your heart and abide by the rules, usually you will not have a problem. This is not a party life RV park, this is a family oriented park. Please try us out, look at the RV'S and Park Models we have for sale and then look at the hugh expansion we have just recently finished. What a wonderful place to be!!

We went and toured Holiday TravL park, which is $80-$100 per night. Feel like for $25 we got what we paid for. There are no other amenities included. The park is extremely well-kept and the residents keep their lots tidy. Its super well organized too (except for the arrows on the lot number signs which are kinda backwards). All the same, the spaces are nicely sized and the Circle K and Dollar General being right beside the campground makes the stay even better without long drives to the store. I didn't go around a time that New River gate was in peak rush hour but I imagine it's not too bad unless you are a super early riser. I recommend ya'll book your next stay here.

There are 2 pit toilets, that were surprisingly clean and did not smell. There was a potable water pump, but no sinks or showers. The cost was $8, and is a self service drop box for check or cash. There was a campground host while we were there. Campsites are fairly private with lots of trees in between each. Some have views of the water. We drove about 20 minutes to get to the Morehead City/Atlantic Beach area. Would definitely stay again! A cheap way to enjoy the coast.

**RV SITE REVIEW** A…read morecouple weeks back me and my dad camped for one night at Goose Creek State Park, and we stayed at RV site #20. This RV site was fantastic. All of the sites were flat (which is what you want), and offered plenty of privacy (The sites were very spacious from one another). All RV sites consist of 30 and 50 amp hookups, as well as a connection to fresh water, and a sewage pipe. The bath house was new and clean. It was modern on the inside, offered hot water (even in 20 degrees), and was well taken care of. The camp host does a great job at taking care of this site. I would highly recommend that you stay/visit Goose Creek when you can. It is a great hidden spot that offers a wide array of trails and activities.
