Easy to talk with, listens and a treat to visit with. I would make him my primary doctor In a NY minute if I could. The nurses were very nice and cared about your comfort as did the wound specialists and nurses aides. Special applause to Liza, a nurse that went out of her way to console me. The food had its up and downs but was 100% better than what St Joseph Hospital passed off as food. The physical therapists were caring, effective and understanding. I wish I could have stayed a couple more days for physical therapy reasons and although I was insured to do so, Medicare and my insurance carrier Humana decided I had enough recovery. Such is the case nowadays. Insurance companies rule the medical field. Don't fight it...it's useless. Thank you to all that brought me back to life and guided me to Senior living.

A family member was admitted to Pine Ridge with multiple fractures. Prior to her admission, she was…read moreable to ambulate with a walker or a wheelchair. After being at Pine Ridge for almost 3 months with physical therapy, she was discharged and is no longer able to do most of the things she used to do. Pine Ridge is not responsible for the decline in her health but they are entirely responsible for not ensuring that the family would have what they needed to care for her after she returned home. They did not provide any assistance whatsoever and did not contact us. They also did not give us a reason as to why she was discharged.

Had it not been for Lakeland Hospital I would most certainly have died…read more Admitted through the Emergency Department for a 4 day stay. Though not something I would like to do again, all aspects of this experience exceeded my expectations. The ER was quick, efficient, professional and courteous. Hospital staff from the doctors, house keeping, nursing and food service were stellar. And yes even the food was good. Discharge day was a little shaky but to no fault of Lakeland staff.

Emily is incredible. I went to her for a hip injury. I knew that Western Medicine wasn't going to…read moresolve it and I wanted something that didn't waste my time painfully going to a bunch of places just to get referred to physical therapy that may or may not help. Emily was incredible. She did myofacial release and positional therapy (I think that's what they were called) and made me experience balance in my body for the first time in a long time--especially as a busy New Yorker carrying a bunch of stuff everywhere. She gave me homework and through my work at home and with Emily I was pain-free in under a month. She's amazing, body positive, accepting, SO kind and skilled. What a resource NYC has in Emily!
